All Power — With Responsibility

After the resurrection, Jesus declared in Matthew 28:18-19: "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." Not most power — all. The original Greek means without which there is no other power. But power is never given without purpose. Verse 19 says: "Go therefore." With power comes responsibility. There is a reason you are stronger. There is a reason God has caused the light to shine through your life and has caused you to be born in such a time as this.

Salt and Light — Two Modes of Kingdom Influence

Matthew 5:13-16 — "You are the salt of the earth. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid." Salt is covert — it comes into a system and seasons it without making noise. Light is direct — it enters darkness and takes authority. One is subtle, the other is open. Both are needed.

The purpose of light is not decoration — it is illumination. That is why believers are not supposed to intimidate each other inside the church. We are to look for where darkness is and light it up.

Isaiah 60:1-3 — "Arise, shine, for your light is come. Though darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people, the Lord shall arise upon you and His glory shall be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising." The darkness and perverseness we see in the world today was prophesied. Our assignment was also prophesied — arise.

The State of the World

2 Timothy 3:1-5 describes what to expect in the last days: men will be lovers of themselves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God — having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof.

Romans 1:21-31 explains the spiritual root: when people knew God but chose not to glorify Him, their foolish hearts were darkened. God gave them up to uncleanness. Women changed the natural use into that which is against nature. Men burned with lust for other men. They invented new ways of sinning. Society has not fallen into darkness by accident — it has been spiritually abandoned because the light has not been doing what it should.

Areas Where Kingdom Culture Must Be Imposed

• Marriage and sexuality: The world projects marriage as optional, redefinable, and disposable. The Bible says male and female created He them. Any gender can marry anyone — that is the world's gospel. The spirit that forbids men to marry is listed in scripture as an end-times spirit. Premarital sex is now normalized. Divorce is a right. Reproduction is reduced to individual choice. We must hold the standard.
• Finance and economics: Debt is normalized. Greed drives policy. People selling the safety of their constituents for political survival. Gambling. Christians criticized for giving to the church while every other expenditure is left unquestioned.
• Justice and law: Justice has become relative — what is projected by the rich or by the majority. Absolute truth is dismissed as arrogance.

• Family and children: The nuclear family is now an option. Gentle parenting has replaced biblical discipline. The state is claiming authority over children in many nations. Discipline is called abuse. Gender ideology is taught in schools. It is your responsibility to raise your children — not the state's, not the school's, not cartoon networks'.

Five Weapons of the Believer

1. The Word of God

   Hebrews 4:12 — "The word of God is quick and powerful." We are not moved by what the majority says, what influencers project, or what is most popular. We are moved by what the word says. That is our standard and our weapon.

2. Prayer

   Isaiah 58:6-7 — "Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free?" We must bring back prayer — not prayer only for bread and butter, but prayer that the kingdom of God will come. Thy kingdom come in our schools. Thy kingdom come in our marketplaces. Thy kingdom come in our institutions. We must pray and fast.

3. Righteous Living

   Titus 2:8 — "Sound speech that cannot be condemned, that he who is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil to say of you." Righteous living is a silent confrontation to the darkness of the world. When a woman spent months trying to seduce me at the law firm where I worked — doing everything to compromise my conviction — I held my ground. Today she has the utmost respect for me. Sound correct life is a weapon.

4. Bold Proclamation

   Acts 4:29 — "Grant unto thy servants that we with all boldness may speak." A silent church cannot quiet a noisy world. We are too timid. We are afraid of being called holier than thou. If standing on what is right is holier than thou — then yes, I am. Insist on what is right. What is sin is sin. Engage. Open your mouth. Speak the truth fearlessly.

5. Strategic Action

   Luke 19:13 — Jesus said, "Occupy till I come." He did not say wait for me. Occupy real estate. Occupy government. Occupy finance. Occupy education. Occupy medicine. Don't wait for Jesus to come and fix what He commanded you to fix. Get involved in every sphere.

Five Behaviours to Adopt

• Renew your mind daily: Romans 12:2 — "Be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Deprogram from worldly thinking by saturating in scriptures. Unsubscribe from ungodly media. Stop following pages that project immorality. Refuse to participate in the corruption.
• Speak the truth fearlessly: They dragged Jesus on the streets of Jerusalem. They dragged Paul on the streets of Macedonia. If they want to drag you on social media, hold your ground. Speak the truth fearlessly in conversations, at workplaces, in family gatherings.
• Raise kingdom children: Do not leave your children to be raised by the society. Actively disciple them from birth. Discipline them in the way of the Lord. Teach them who they are before the culture tells them.
• Vote in every election: God does not have a voter's card. Your vote is God's vote. Every kingdom citizen must be registered and must vote. You cannot keep talking about God's kingdom and not be eligible to establish it in your nation.
• Become excellent in your workplace: Daniel 6:3 — Daniel distinguished himself and was promoted. Be the best in your craft. Excellence earns you a platform to be heard. Your work can become an expression of your worship.
