He Died as You — Not Just for You
Hebrews 9:27, Galatians 2:20
It is appointed for men to die once. Jesus died once — and when he died, you died with him. That is not poetry. It is legal fact. Your appointment with death has been fulfilled. You will never die again.
Galatians 2:20 — I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless I live. The life I now live, I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.
When Jesus was buried, you were buried. When he went to hell, you went with him. When he rose from the dead — you rose. The Bible says God raised us together with Christ and made us sit together in heavenly places. Ephesians 2:6
You are not trying to get to a position of authority. You are already in it. You are seated.
Your Body Is Bought
1 Corinthians 6:20
You were bought with a price. That means your body is not yours to be afflicted freely. Hypertension, cancer, spirit husbands, every condition the enemy has planted — they are squatting in a body that has already been purchased by the blood of Jesus.
You have a new owner now. And when the enemy appears — whether in your body, in your dream, in your circumstances — you address him as a new creature: I have a new owner. Take your hands off.
Five Things to Thank God for This Easter
- Redemption — Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law. We have been bought back. Galatians 3:13
- Salvation — He saves completely, perfectly, forever. He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through him. Hebrews 7:25
- Position — Seated with him in heavenly places. Far above all principalities, powers, and every name that is named. Ephesians 2:6
- Adoption — We are no more strangers and foreigners but fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God. Ephesians 2:19
- The Holy Spirit — Through his death and resurrection, the veil was torn. Every believer now has equal, unrestricted access to God and can be a carrier of the Holy Ghost.
He rose. You rose. Walk accordingly.
