Our inheritance in Christ

I am taking what belongs to me because it belongs to me. It is not wrong to take what God says belongs to me

Proverbs 13:22

If a good man does this, how much more a good God? He gave me eternal life. He gave me Christ himself

You are accepted in the beloved. You do not have to fight for acceptance or work to feel among. You are already among

Ephesians 1:6

In Christ I have forgiveness of sins. I do not have to be bothered whether my sins are forgiven. I know they are

1 John 1:9

Healing is my inheritance in Christ. It is the children's bread. I do not have to beg for healing. If you are sick in your body, healing is your own, because somebody paid the price

Isaiah 53:4, 1 Peter 2:24

The word says surely. It is not probably or hopefully. Surely he bore my infirmities. By his stripes I was healed. Blood for blood. Healing is my right

I am healed of migraine, glaucoma, HIV, arthritis, rheumatism and hypertension, because Christ paid the price

Provision is my right. Provision is my portion

Matthew 6:32

Philippians 4:7, Isaiah 26:3

Peace is my portion, a peace the world cannot give. There is peace in the midst of crisis, and peace that your future is settled in God

When God opens a door, walk through it

Do not let your expectations be so high that you break up with a good man because he does not send early morning romantic texts or flowers.

If he loves God, is active in God's work, honors and respects you, is sound and balanced, that is sense

The most critical things to look for first: is he a child of God, and is he teachable? Anyone teachable can learn to dress, to change a haircut, to be romantic. Do not break up over flimsy reasons

It is a shallow generation, and we do not know what matters. Do not choose a husband because of his beard, his height or his biceps when he is short in the spirit

Luke 19:41 to Luke 19:44

Jesus wept over Jerusalem because they did not know the day of their visitation. What are you looking for?

When the day of crisis comes, you will know that big bum bum cannot stand when the enemy comes against your household

Relationship is made complex by suspicion. Do not hold your phone waiting to look busy. Why not call?

The gap between what you have been given and what you possess

You have been given healing, prosperity, peace. But do you have them? The gap between what you have been given and possession is what we are dealing with

Joshua 1:3, Deuteronomy 1:8

The land was given already, but not yet possessed. For you it is the future. For God it is the past

I have given you the land. Possess it. I have given you peace of mind. Possess it. I have given you a fruitful marriage and your children. Possess it

Ephesians 1:3

The same tension between what we have been given and what we really have. He is not going to bless us, not thinking about blessing us, not working on blessing us. He has blessed us already

2 Peter 1:3

The Bible reemphasizes the same thing. God has already given us these things

Testimony: healed by his word

I was sickly and rushed to hospital every week. I had heart palpitations and symptoms of kidney, colon and spine conditions. I was short and small, called "short man devil" in secondary school.

For 20 solid years I have not been to the hospital

Psalm 107:20

It dawned on me that he sent his word, so he already did what he was going to do

Cancer has no right in your body. Fibroid and ovarian cysts have no right. Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost 1 Corinthians 6:19

Jeremiah 20:9, Hebrews 4:12

The word is like fire in the bones. Even if the enemy goes past the skin, the muscle and the tendons and keeps cancer in your bone marrow, the word breaks through everything evil.

He has no right to keep anything in your body

3 steps God gave Joshua to take possession

  1. Arise

    Joshua 1:2

Before you arise you have to awake. To awake means to become conscious. To arise means to come into responsibility

One of the strongest weapons of the enemy is to keep believers numb to the passage of time. You think you still have time. Time is going

You are 45 years old with your hands in your pockets, testing girls like a judge at a cooking competition. Your life is wasting away. If you play with your money, you will beg at night

    Ecclesiastes 3:1

God put a purpose on your life, but there is a time within which you are to fulfill it. Your purpose is time bound. If you procrastinate, nobody will need it again.

A man who is supposed to invent the gramophone cannot do it after cell phones have come. You do not have forever to fulfill God's purpose for your life

Marriage also has a time. The wife of your youth, not the wife of your old age

    Psalm 127:4

It takes strength to sharpen your arrow. A time will come when you cannot, because old age has come

    Psalm 90:14

There is a time to enjoy life, to travel, to go on vacation

    Ephesians 5:14, Isaiah 60:1

Some people awake and do not arise. Arise, not wait, not pray about it, not hope something happens

  2. Cross the Jordan

    Joshua 3:15 to Joshua 3:17

The Moses generation waited for the Red Sea to part. The Joshua generation, the New Testament generation, had to put their feet in the water

God asked them to cross when Jordan was overflowing its banks in harvest season. When it looks most impossible, God asks you to take a step.

Why start a business when the economy looks like it is crumbling? The waters backed up when the priests' feet touched the water

They did not wait for the river to part before putting their feet in it. You do not wait for signs. Do not call it Vision 2030 and look for cute names instead of taking action

  3. Tread on the land

    Joshua 1:3 to Joshua 1:4

You determine the limits of your possession. Where you do not tread, you do not get

God said, toward the going down of the sun. The more you approach the going down of the sun, the further it goes. It is a limitless scope of possession.

God has not put any limits in your life

4 ways to take it

  1. Know it

    1 Corinthians 2:12

We received the Spirit of God that we might know the things freely given to us. Most of Paul's prayers were not about God giving us anything. They were that you might know Ephesians 1:18

Jesus wept over Jerusalem because they did not know. Israel had passion but no knowledge Romans 10:2. There is something about knowing

    Testimony: the bedwetting

A lady wrote that she had wet her bed since she could remember. While driving, she heard me say that someone there would not bedwet again. She knew it was her.

At home she rolled on the floor and claimed it. A month later she had not bedwet. Things are freely given. You have to know it

The woman bent for 18 years kept coming to church. If she had missed the day she met Jesus, she would have missed her miracle. Come again

  2. Believe it

    Hebrews 3:19

Unbelief kept them from stepping into it. Faith can be perceived. Jesus saw the faith of those who removed the roof Mark 2:5

A lady needed a visa in two weeks for school abroad. I asked her what she wanted, as Jesus asked Bartimaeus Mark 10:51. I asked if she believed, and released her visa.

She got it the next week. When she said it was impossible, I said the Bible says otherwise Mark 9:23.

There are blessings God puts on a house 2 Samuel 3:1. The house of David grew stronger, the house of Saul weaker. This is your house. Believe it with all your heart.

Jesus said it is for the children

    • I cannot remain on the same spot in this house. I cannot be afflicted by the enemy of stagnation
    • I lay hold on that which God has prepared for me. I believe what you say, Lord
    • I believe my mind is sharp, my eyes are sharp, my kidneys are working, my lungs are working

  3. Declare it

    Romans 10:9, Proverbs 18:20 to Proverbs 18:21

Believe it with the heart and open your mouth. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. A man's belly is satisfied with the fruit of his mouth

The mouth is the entrance into your life. Everything that will enter your life will enter through your mouth

I declared I would never pastor a small church, though everyone around me pastored 15 or 30 people

    Joel 3:10, Job 22:29

Declare strength even when you are weak, and declare a lifting up against every casting down

My belly is satisfied with the fruit of my lips

I will say it in spite of how I feel. My lungs are okay. My kidneys are functioning

I will not change my confession on account of new information. I will hold fast and keep saying it Hebrews 10:23

  4. Resist the enemy who contests it

    1 Peter 5:8, Ephesians 6:13, James 4:7

Be sober and vigilant. The enemy cannot devour everybody. He seeks whom he may devour. Take the shield of faith to quench all the fiery darts

The word resist already means there is contention. The devil is a contender for your inheritance. He will come for your house, your health, your baby. Put your foot down

Wherever you see the devil, you see people's wombs, eyes and blood there. He does not know how to take his eyes off things

    Illustration: the lost pregnancies

A friend's wife lost two pregnancies, and each time a woman fought her in the dream. The husband began to pray until he had a dream in which he beat that woman.

When he woke up, his wife said she had just seen her again, and that he had beaten her. She carried the next pregnancy to birth. Not everything that is physical is natural

    Exodus 3:19

What God has given, the enemy will not release unless he is forced

    Deuteronomy 2:24

God had given the land, yet they had to contend in battle for it

    Jude 3

Contend for the faith. The armor is not for decoration. The breastplate, the sword of the Spirit and the shield of faith are there because there is something to contend for

I am not fighting for victory. I am fighting from victory, but I am fighting. Fight the good fight of faith

    Illustration: the lump

My wife's mother died of breast cancer. One morning my wife found a lump and was crying. I took up the Bible and went through everywhere Jesus healed the sick in the book of Mark.

I stood at my door and told Satan, to get to my wife you have to get through me. In one week the lumps disappeared

Your womb is not for decoration. Your breast is not for cancer. Your body was bought with a price 1 Corinthians 6:20

    Luke 13:16

It is not just good that she be loosed. It is her right and yours

Declarations

Everything that God has given to me, I am taking it. I resist and I insist. My peace of mind is mine. My good health is mine. My children are mine.

I lay hold on my inheritance. I am a son of God

  • Every tree God did not plant in my body, I uproot it now
  • Everything taken from me in my sleep, every affliction through dreams, I command immediate recovery
  • Every exchange, a living baby exchanged with a dead baby, is reversed. Everything stolen when I was not looking is restored
  • I rebuke every lump in the body and every stone in the kidneys. I walk in the reality of my inheritance

I saw a barren field, a dry place, and now there was growth, fruit and beautiful vegetation. What used to be dry ground will be a fruitful place. Your mouth will share your testimony.

Nobody will take your place

Testimony: the lost suitor

A lady found a man on my comment section and then could not find him for days. She wrote, the devil cannot steal him from me.

Like the woman who told Elisha, you gave me this boy, the enemy cannot steal it 2 Kings 4:28. I declared him found. In six hours she messaged that he had gone back home

The enemy will not steal what the Lord has given you.

Every near success syndrome that looks like it is about to happen and is taken, I declare the last one taken is the last that will ever be taken. Complete restoration of all you have lost

Inspiring Quote

Sermon

"One symptom of backsliding is that you begin to look down on the simple things that keep you on fire, calling a devotional 'just milk.' It's not about the information, it's about the consistency."
