God's Nature Is Seen in Nature

Romans 1:20

The invisible things of God are clearly seen through what he has made. We understand his nature by observing creation. He is a routine God — the sun rises every morning, the seasons come and go without fail. God does not do things only when he feels led. He is consistent.

What makes a person successful is not what they do when they want to — it is how far they go when they do not want to.

You do not go to the gym only when you feel led. You do not pray only when you feel inspired. Greatness comes from doing the thing in season and out of season.

His Instructions Are Perfect

Psalms 19:7-11

The instructions of the Lord are perfect. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy. His commands are right, bringing joy to the heart. His commandments are clear — they are not ambiguous.

We know what God's word says about marriage. About relationships. About finances. About parenting. There is no excuse for pretending otherwise.

Every choice comes attached to its consequences. You cannot pick one end of a stick. If two people are supposed to get married and spend years fornicating before the wedding, they are building on the wrong foundation. You cannot start with the enemy and then invite God to come in and fix it halfway through.

• If you follow God's word on your finances, you will end up financially wise — even if you are not naturally sharp. His word makes the simple wise.
• If you follow his word on marriage, the foundation is secure. If you built on another foundation, you cannot use his word to hold together what you refused to build on him.

Raising Kingdom Families

God's instruction for parenting is perfect. His design for the family is perfect. You cannot be a better father or mother than God. And when he tells you to discipline your children, you cannot claim to be smarter than him.

The sun rising every morning is a picture of God's faithfulness to routine. A family built on God's word has that same quality — it runs on covenant, not on feeling.

Build your family on what God says. His word is more desirable than the finest gold, sweeter than honey — and a great reward for those who keep it.
