The Anointed Generation — Defined by Results

How God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and power — and he went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil. That is the model. The anointed generation is not a generation that brandishes the mantle — it is the generation that makes exploits happen through the mantle.

When Elisha picked up the mantle of Elijah, the sons of the prophets who had been watching did not bow when he picked it up. But as soon as he used the mantle to divide the waters of Jordan — they all bowed. Your generation will not respect you because you know the Bible. You are not the first Bible-knowing believer. They will bow when your results begin to speak.

Heaven Has Meetings — Find Your Place

Don't you know that heaven has meetings? At one meeting, God asked: "Who will lure Ahab to Ramothgilead?" An angel came and spoke. Heaven has an agenda — things God wants to do in your industry, in your nation, in your career. God is looking for one person that will stand in the place of saying, "Father, thy kingdom."

When Elisha was following Elijah from Gilgal to Bethel to Jericho to Jordan, the sons of the prophets at each place tried to convince him to stop. They were from the same school of prophets. But each time Elisha said: "I know. Hold your peace." He had found his place. Seasons were changing. Opportunities were being created. Every season change creates spaces — but you have to ask God, where is my place?

Elisha was following before Jordan divided. He was following when there was no miracle. When you find your place — following becomes effortless.

Seasons of Transition — Seasons of Greatest Distraction

Elijah had told Elisha: "If thou shalt see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee." But what did the transition look like? A chariot of fire came and separated them. Then a whirlwind — throwing up sand and dust in every direction. In a dusty terrain, Elisha was supposed to keep his eyes fixed on Elijah through all of that.

Seasons of transition come with their biggest distractions. All of a sudden there are noises of discouragement. The devil brings back the file of your yesterday. He reminds you of what didn't work. He tells you: you will soon fail again. But that is exactly when you must not be distracted.

David was distracted in the year that kings went to war — and that distraction was called Bathsheba. Seasons of your greatest transition may also be the seasons of your biggest temptation. Ask yourself: why are they contacting me now? Why is this appearing now? The answer: God is preparing something — and the enemy knows it.

Philippians 3:13-14: "I forget the things which are behind. I press forward to the mark of the high calling." Don't be distracted. You've gained some altitude. You cannot lose it now.

The Anointed Generation — Follow Through

Elisha followed Elijah from Gilgal. He followed to Bethel. He followed to Jericho. He followed to Jordan. The man he was following was even telling him to stop and go back — and he kept following. The anointed generation is a follow-through generation. Not initial following — follow through.

When Elijah finally asked: "What do you want me to do for you before I am taken away?" Elisha said: "I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me." He didn't want the anointing — he wanted double of it. The anointed generation is a generation that wants more. You will not stop where your father stopped. God will use you to redefine the goalpost.

Tear the Old Garment

Before Elisha picked up the mantle, the Bible says he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces. Then he picked up the mantle. He did not mix the old garment with the new mantle.

As seasons begin to change, there are things that no longer fit. There is a garment that must be torn. You cannot pour new wine into old wineskins. You represent a new order. There is a divine expression at work in your life — and you will not mix the two together.

When Elisha came out carrying the mantle — even though his own clothes were torn — they still bowed. The people God has called you to will not pay attention to how you look. They will respond to what you carry.

The Mandate — Wipe Out Amalek

The mandate is not to deal with just some of what is against you — it is to deal with all of it. Amalek represents everything that is not of God, everything that works against the principles of God. The mandate is: wipe them out completely. Don't take away lying and leave lust. Don't remove prayerlessness and keep anger. The mandate is to mortify the deeds of the flesh entirely.

If you leave it, heaven will be grieved. This is a new beginning. There is a freshness of grace and power being poured out. There is an opening of heaven in a dimension you have never seen before.

I decree and declare: whatever the Lord needs to remove from your life for the fullness of your destiny to be made manifest — let the Lord remove it right now by fire.

I decree it is done. You are anointed for this. No power of hell will stop you. The chains are broken. The ordinances are deleted. Follow ground is broken up. Divine alignment in all your ways. Multiple open doors at the same time. Your cup runs over.

I announce you are anointed for this. Go and manifest the exploits of the kingdom. You will not just carry the mantle — they will see the result of the mantle. Go and rule in the midst of your enemies.
