God is a giver. There is a quality of God called His goodness, it is a dimension of His glory.

Psalm 100:5, Psalm 136:1, Psalm 23:6

When you understand the goodness of God, then you will not be afraid to come with him with your needs.

Bless the Lord o my soul and forget not His benefits.

When we come to God for help, there 2 things he does

1. He intervenes and response to our needs
2. He gives an encounter with himself

Genesis 4:1

Any encounter that just stops are giving you things without an encounter of Him is not a genuine encounter.

Causes of human problem:

1. Human problems can be natural or biological. Some examples: hunger, tiredness. Isaiah 40:29-30
2. Human problems that are of man made causes. Some examples: ignorance, poor decisions, laziness, pride. They can be empowered by demons but they are man made. Proverbs 20:4, Proverbs 26:13

   You can deal with them even without being born again because it’s a man made problem. Of course It can be enhanced and sustained by the holyspirit

3. It can be of demonic causes. Some examples: oppression, addiction Luke 13:16, Act 10:38
4. They could be divine response to certain conditions - even if not caused by response. Response to pride or sometimes a season of training for believers. James 4:6

   It is a dangerous thing when God is the one resisting you - because the anointing cannot save you, the only prayer that can save you is the prayer of mercy and repentance.

Receiving from God demands faith.

1. Faith In God almighty as the one who brings deliverance and salvation(Daniel 3:29, Hebrews 11:6)

   There are many ways to believe in God - the chiefest of them is to study the prophetic books. When you know him you can trust him. John 5:8

2. Faith in the vessel. If you believe in the doer and not in the vessel and the channel, it will affect your receiving. 2 Chronicles 20:20, Isaiah 44:26, John 5:8

   The line between your receiving and not receiving can just be one simple action of faith. Matthew 7:8, Eziekel 37:7, Mark 11:24

The formula is: Believing, Receiving then having
