Introduction: The Will of God
Everything in the kingdom revolves around the will of God. No teaching, desire, or pursuit has value unless it's connected to birthing God's will. When we understand this principle, we realize that prosperity, healing, and advancement become vanity if pursued for their own sake rather than for God's kingdom purposes.
The church is at the mercy of those who teach and serve God's wisdom and grace. If we are limited, we will produce sincere but ill-prepared people. We cannot give beyond our level of access to light, wisdom, and power.
Two Dimensions of God's Will
- The Written/Generic Will: God's will for all people - that all would be saved and come to the knowledge of truth (1 Timothy 2:4)
- The Revealed Will: Progressive revelations God gives for your specific destiny, season, and calling
Three Biblical Ways to Access God's Will
- Scripture - Luke 4, Hebrews 10:7
- The revelatory ministry of the Holy Spirit - Acts 13
- The prophetic - dreams, visions, and prophetic words
Understanding "Blessed" - Hebrew and Greek Definitions
Hebrew - Barak: Stooping down, kneeling, and communicating honor. It involves presenting something of value while showing respect and worship.

Greek Words:
- Eulogia: A good word - pronouncements that produce effects of advancement, protection, preservation, and favor
- Makarios: Being fortunate, privileged, happy, spiritually prosperous - living as an embodiment of favor
Both God and men can bless. Genesis 1:22 - God blessed creation. Genesis 1:28 - God blessed man. Genesis 24:60 - Rebecca's family blessed her.
Three Levels of Understanding
- The Blessing of Abraham
- The Blessing
- Blessings (plural)
These are not the same and understanding the distinction releases power in our lives.
The Blessing of Abraham
Genesis 12:1-3 - God's promise to Abraham to make him a great nation, bless him, make his name great, and make him a blessing to all families of the earth.
Genesis 15:5-6 - Abraham believed God's promise about his seed being as numerous as the stars, and it was credited to him as righteousness.

The blessing of Abraham is not about material wealth or physical descendants. Romans 4:3-8 reveals the deeper mystery: justification by faith.
Paul explains that Abraham's story demonstrates how God justifies the ungodly through faith, not works. When we believe God over something our ability cannot produce, it is credited to us as righteousness.
Galatians 3:13-14 - Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law so that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles through Jesus Christ - that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
The blessing of Abraham is the formula for salvation: hearing the gospel and applying faith as Abraham did, leading to justification in Christ.
The Blessing - The Holy Spirit
Psalm 133 - When brethren dwell together in unity, the Lord commands the blessing - even life forevermore.
Acts 2:1-4 - On the day of Pentecost, they were gathered in one accord. The blessing descended not as mere pronouncement, but as the Holy Spirit - a personality with all His possibilities coming to indwell believers.
The blessing is the Holy Spirit Himself.
In the Old Testament, God blessed through pronouncements that produced effects. But in the New Testament, God went beyond speaking - He gave the Holy Spirit to indwell us permanently.
The Journey of a Blessed Person
- Receive the blessing of Abraham (justification by faith through hearing the gospel)
- Receive the blessing (the Holy Spirit comes to indwell you)
- Access the resources in heavenly places through partnership with the Holy Spirit
- Manifest dominion, wisdom, favor, and power
Galatians 3:26-29 - We are all children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. If we belong to Christ, we are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise.
Key Principles
You cannot be truly blessed without:
- Salvation through faith (the blessing of Abraham)
- The indwelling Holy Spirit (the blessing)
- Partnership with the Holy Spirit to access heavenly resources
Material wealth without Christ is not biblical blessing. The blessing produces:
- Peace that surpasses understanding
- Joy through storms
- The fruit of the Spirit
- Christlike character
- Wisdom and understanding
- Capacity to know and do God's will
- Material provision as a byproduct
The Law of Attraction (Spiritual Principle)
Everything you're looking for is also looking for you, but there's something it's looking for in you. As you grow in relationship with the Holy Spirit, you exhibit magnetic properties that attract:
- Divine helpers
- Opportunities
- Resources
- Breakthrough
Your possibilities are defined by the depth of your spiritual understanding. What you understand rewrites your possibilities.
Conclusion
The blessing of Abraham = Justification by faith
The blessing = The Holy Spirit
Blessings = The manifestations and fruits that flow from partnership with the Holy Spirit
To say "I am blessed" means:
- I am saved by hearing the gospel and applying faith like Abraham
- I have received the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit
- I am accessing the resources kept for us in heavenly places through partnership with Him
True riches are not material things - they are the capital that buys money. The Holy Spirit is the advantage, the redefiner of your destiny and possibilities.
