Introduction: A Life-Changing Series

This series will open your eyes to deep secrets for establishing victory in the spirit. You will see explanations behind occurrences in your life and families. God will show the secrets behind certain tragedies, patterns, and circumstances. More importantly, God will bring us into a realm of established victory.

Six Foundation Scriptures

1. Matthew 6:13 - "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." Jesus teaches that deliverance from evil is necessary, meaning it's possible for a person to NOT be delivered from evil.
2. Obadiah 1:17 - "But upon Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions." Deliverance is what grants access to possess your possessions.
3. 2 Timothy 4:18 - "And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work and preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom." God is called the Deliverer.
4. Psalm 59 - Describes enemies making noise like dogs, going round about the city, speaking mysteries. David prays for deliverance from workers of iniquity and bloody men who lie in wait.
5. Ephesians 6:12 - "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
6. John 8:32 - "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." There is a relationship between your deliverance and the quality of truth made affordable to you.

The Reality of Spiritual Warfare

The whole world lies in wickedness. Satan has concealed the mystery of the operation of the realm of the spirit from believers for many years. We are not to be ignorant of the devil's devices.

Many approach deliverance from wrong perspectives - cultural, traditional, or complete ignorance. Many have trivialized the importance of biblical information that has been responsible for the victory of the saints.

The revelation behind this teaching is the explanation behind:

• Tragedies in our lives and families
• Prayers that seem unanswered
• Patterns of failure and hardship

Understanding the Realm of the Spirit

Everything in the physical realm is slave to the realm of the spirit. The realm of the spirit is the originator - the muscles behind the physical realm. Realities that manifest physically are only actors; the real control system is in the realm of the spirit.

The Bible was written when there was no HIV, no cancer, and divorce rates were not at current levels. There has been advancement in the civilization of the Dark Kingdom, requiring corresponding advancement in the knowledge of truth.

Important principle: It's important to receive truth, but don't let what you know stop you from receiving what you don't know.

Real Life Patterns of Spiritual Captivity

There are families where:

• You will never get married until you have a child out of wedlock
• Poverty persists regardless of hard work
• All men die mysteriously in two or three-year cycles
• Nobody ever becomes a leader - you only succeed by serving
• All the women suffer in marriage like slaves
• Anyone who trains others never becomes useful themselves
• The moment you reach a certain age, patterns of sickness and failure activate

There are cities where things go bad immediately. There are territories with spiritual strongholds that affect success regardless of education, effort, or anointing.

Three Main Ways Demons Gain Access

There are only three ways that demons and Satan have access to all people, including believers:

1. Covenants

A covenant is a system of authorization between two or more people (or spiritual beings), ratified by the mystery of blood, with mutual advantages if kept and severe consequences if violated.

The concept of covenant predates the Old and New Testament. There are:

• Personal covenants
• Territorial covenants
• Everlasting covenants

Many families in Africa have connections with the dark world through ancestral covenants made by fathers who called on spirits for assistance during times of war or need. These agreements promised that all children would serve those spirits.

Important truth: Covenants are not cast out - they must be legally broken. Spirits operating through covenants are not illegal occupants; they were covenanted intentionally.

2. Disobedience

Disobedience is a force in the spirit, just like obedience is a force. Deuteronomy 28 lists blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience:

• Blessed/Cursed in the city
• Blessed/Cursed in the field
• Blessed/Cursed shall be the fruit of your body
• Blessed/Cursed in your coming in and going out

The blood of Jesus does not excuse the force of disobedience. A curse causeless shall not stand, but a curse that has a cause will stand. Consistent disobedience is empowered by a spirit.

3. Ignorance

Hosea 4:6 and Ephesians 4:18 - "Having their understanding darkened, alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart."

A person in ignorance or with insufficient understanding provides great access to Satan and his demons. More than curses and covenants, more than disobedience - this is where many well-meaning people are captured. They have worked to break curses and walk in obedience, but lack spiritual intelligence to know what to do.

Psalm 82:5-7 - "They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness...I have said, Ye are gods...but ye shall die like mere men."

The Reality of Spiritual Captivity

Isaiah 61:1 - "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me...to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of prison to them that are bound."

There are people walking physically on two legs who are prisoners in the realm of the spirit. You are moving physically but spiritually in the same spot. All your achievements reduce back, and after 10 years you remain in the same place - increasing in education and business but results remain unchanged.

Signs you need deliverance:

• Inexplicable hardship despite education and hard work
• Things that should have happened by now haven't manifested
• Dreams showing you're 10 years behind what God showed you
• Consistent patterns of failure in family lineage
• Spiritual oppression, especially at night
• Helpers being diverted just before blessing comes

The Key of David

Revelation 3:7 speaks of the key of David - when you possess this key, you can open doors and leave them open, and no power will shut them. This is a master key that brings sustained favor across territories.

There are six regions of operation on earth. When gates are opened by the key of David, ALL doors open - not just some.

Hope and Victory

When the yoke is lifted from your shoulder, you will know how light life can be. Hardship is brought about by something sitting on our destinies making shipwreck of our lives.

The apex of the power of God is shown in deliverance - the dislodging of light over darkness. Someone can walk away free, and a terrible person can suddenly change.

The testimony: Many well-meaning people don't rise in life not because they are dull or lazy, but because of spiritual captivity. When these forces give way, the difference is remarkable.

Practical Assignment: 15-Minute Night Prayer

From tonight through the end of this series:

1. Wake up any time between 12:00 AM - 3:00 AM
2. Pray in tongues for 15 minutes (you can play a Koinonia message in the background)
3. Pray specifically: "Lord, let the challenge in my life and family come to an end"
4. Pray: "My destiny, Lord, open it up. Scatter every yoke over my destiny"

Why the night? In the realm of the spirit, the 24-hour day is counted from night to morning (evening and morning). The night time is like a woman ready to receive seed - it's when spiritual things are planted.

What to expect:

• Some will see visions and dreams revealing the spirits at work
• God may show you things from when your parents were young
• You may face increased opposition from loved ones (a sign it's working)
• Breakthroughs will begin to manifest

Don't do this as a ritual - do it with revelation and understanding.

Final Declaration

In the name of Jesus, everything sitting on your destiny must drop off tonight. The captivity in families is about to end. This month of July, we declare war over the gates of darkness.

Your deliverance is calling you. Your destiny must be delivered. Your spiritual life must be delivered. Your family must be delivered.
