The Bible says, "now the Lord is that spirit," so you don't confuse him with other spirits—there are many, but he is that spirit. And where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Every gathering by God's spirit is a feast of light. The Bible says, "that was the true light that lighteth every man." If it's true light, it benefits everyone.

False lights resemble liberty and knowledge but lack power to lift. You arise and shine when true light comes. If you claim light but stay down, it's not true.

Light drives darkness. John 1:5—the light shineth in darkness, and darkness comprehended it not.

You are the one that we praise

No guarantee you'll always find a man in his office or recreation spot—he comes and goes. But wait at his house, and you'll find him, as it's his resting place. When God calls us his house, he covenants it as forever.

Theme: Year of Open Doors

God set an open door no man can shut. Doors are closed by default; understand spiritual dynamics for opening them.

Three ways to open doors per scripture:

  1. Right keys (light, knowledge).
  2. Knocking—someone on the other side opens via relationships.
  3. Supernatural, like Paul and Silas—no key or knock, but doors opened.

Knocking parable: Man asks friend at night for loaves to avoid embarrassment. Friend refuses at first but gives due to persistence.

Listen to teachings for true light! Hallelujah.

Tonight: Learn to manage open doors. Contending to open is one thing; equipping to handle them is key.

Implications of Open Doors

Desiring open doors is fine, but they bring prophetic implications. Doors open in spirit and cosmos bring challenges; believers must be equipped.

The Lord's Prayer: Matthew 6:5-13

Disciples asked Jesus to teach prayer like John did—not prayerlessness, but accuracy. Their prayers lacked results; Jesus' had structure.

Verse 6: Pray in closet, shut door, Father rewards openly.

Avoid vain repetitions like heathens.

Father knows needs before asking.

Pray after this manner—not recitation, but protocol ladder for realms.

  1. Our Father (Abba: source, sustainer, protector—no alternatives).
  2. Which art in heaven (faith required for spiritual dimension).
  3. Hallowed be thy name (reverence his dimensions via names).
  4. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as in heaven (will executed brings kingdom—first in you, then environment).
  5. Give us this day our daily bread (sufficiency: wisdom, favor, relationships).
  6. Forgive our debts as we forgive (trespasses).
  7. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Six points: Three for God (name, kingdom, will), three for man (bread, forgiveness, deliverance).

Daily bread implies troubles—forgiveness, no temptation, deliverance follow.

Many troubles come only from open doors/excelling. Ignorance turns blessing to curse.

Battles exist only when doors open; closed doors hide them.

Example: Paul & Silas in Philippi (Acts 16:11-24)

Found Lydia, seller of purple—wealthy, heart opened, baptized, constrained them to stay (open door).

Then damsel with divination spirit follows, accurately calls them servants of Most High showing salvation.

Paul casts out spirit; masters lose gains, drag them to rulers.

Accuse as Jews troubling city, teaching unlawful customs for Romans.

Multitude rises; magistrates beat, stripe, imprison them securely.

Anointed men demonstrate power, then face stripes/prison. Miracle led to trouble.

Lessons

Battles from open doors.

Fallen nature/untransformed believers react negatively to growth/lifting (envy, jealousy—highest need: feel loved/significant).

Pay attention when bread/mantle/promotion arrives—implications follow.

1 Corinthians 16:9—Great effectual door opened, many adversaries.

Many believers shielded, naive to cosmos realities; step out, unequipped.

Three Levels of Evil for Deliverance

  1. Satan/wicked spirits (1 Peter 5:8—adversary seeks to devour).
  2. Wicked/unreasonable men (2 Thessalonians 3:1-2—deliver from them, not all have faith; world lieth in wickedness).
  3. Flesh (most vicious—crucify daily; Romans 7:18-25—no good in flesh, wars against mind).

Flesh reinvents attacks per growth level. Temptations wait for abundance/influence.

Examples: Solomon/Bathsheba, Samson/Delilah, Abraham/Ishmael.

Arrival of good (Jesus' birth) brings conflict (infants killed, Mary/Joseph trouble).

God may close doors mercifully till stature attained.

In abundance, lawlessness rises (Israel post-Red Sea, idol worship).

Temptation/evil follow daily bread.

Joseph's Story (Genesis 37:3-20)

Loved by father (coat)—brethren hate.

Dreams shared—hate more, envy.

Conspire to slay dreamer.

Offense: Loved, dreamt, rose in spirit.

Battle not person, but mantle/prophecy.

Accessing Deliverance

Posture: Humility, submission, brokenness (1 Peter 5:6-7; James 4:7).

Acknowledge limitation outside God—sufficiency from him.

Jesus: "I can of mine own do nothing."

Responses:

  1. Cry for mercy (Lamentations 3:22; blind man Luke 18:35-43; Hebrews 4:16; prodigal son).
  2. Heartfelt prayer (Matthew 26:41—watch/pray; 1 Peter 5:8-9; Philippians 1:19—turns to salvation; James 5:13; Mark 11:24).
  3. Praise (Psalm 18:1-3—call/praise saves; Exodus 15:1-11—fearful in praises, doing wonders).

Paul/Silas: Midnight prayer/praise—earthquake, doors open, bonds loose, jailer saved (Acts 16:25-34).

All works for good to lovers of God.

Surround with mercy, prayer, praise.

More Implications

Wealth/business: Covenants/spirits involved; favor accesses hearts (Psalms 44:3; Exodus 3:21).

Pray for Nigeria/elections: No violence, righteous leaders, justice.

May someone be a beneficiary of the mercy of God in the name of Jesus Christ!

Altar Call

Father, thank you for these ones. By the authority of scripture, I declare your sins forgiven, and in the name of Jesus, I call you bona fide recipients of the life of God. I declare that based on your confession, the power of sin, Satan, hell, and the grave is broken over your life. From tonight, you go forward ever, and backward never, in Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen and amen.

Inspiring Quote

Sermon

"One symptom of backsliding is that you begin to look down on the simple things that keep you on fire, calling a devotional 'just milk.' It's not about the information, it's about the consistency."
