There are five pillars that represent the gospel — five pillars that represent salvation. Number one is the humanity of Jesus, his Earth walk. Number two is his death. Number three is his burial. Number four, his resurrection. Number five, his exaltation — his Ascension. If you miss any one of these five, you will never be effective in the spirit as far as your Kingdom adventure is concerned. Every one of these pillars has a significance as far as the holistic building of the believer is concerned.

His Humanity — his death — his burial — his resurrection — then his Ascension and exaltation.

Matthew 28:5-6 — "He is not here, for he is risen." Not that he was stolen. He is risen. Come and see the place where the Lord lay.

Philippians 3:10 — Paul prayed a very profound prayer: "That I may know him." And among the many things he wanted to know and understand about him was the power of his resurrection. There is a wealth of understanding that can come to the believer when you press to know the power of his resurrection.

Four Platforms for Experiencing Resurrection Power

The power that comes with the resurrection is released on four platforms:

1. Believing in and receiving Jesus, who is the resurrection and the life.

   John 11:24-25 — Martha said, "I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day." Jesus said unto her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."

2. Having a thorough understanding of the implication of the Resurrection.

   It is not enough to know that he resurrected. You must have a revelation. There is an implication to the resurrection of Jesus that, if understood, can release power to the life of the believer here and now.

3. Your willingness to be a witness to that Resurrection.

   Acts 4:33 — "And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all."

4. Engaging the promises of the Resurrection by faith.

   Hebrews 4:1-3 — "Let us fear, lest a promise being left us of entering into that rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached as well as unto them, but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we which have believed do enter into rest."

   No matter how powerful the word is, you have to believe and engage by faith to see it deliver. There is no superstition about enjoying and experiencing the resurrection power of the Lord Jesus.

The Crisis of Unorganised Knowledge

The challenge today is not ignorance in the body of Christ. There is no time in history where there has been such an abundance of knowledge. The challenge, on observation, is twofold:

• Knowledge is not organised. There is a random acquisition of knowledge without order. Knowledge in the spirit was supposed to profit if it is arranged sequentially. There are things that should come before others to make sense to the holistic growth of the believer. There is an order — an Apostolic order — that was delivered to the early church, and when they walked in keeping with that order, they evolved and became a kind of people — powerful, wise, and true witnesses.
• The fundamentals have been abandoned. The average believer is cherry-picking knowledge based on convenience, without it being methodically arranged to produce wholesome victory. The Bible says they are ever learning but never coming into the knowledge of the truth. Our fathers, even with the frailty of their understanding, majored on the majors — and the worth of what they knew commanded tremendous power.

Results matter in this Kingdom. Never downplay results. Result is how God is glorified.

• Ephesians 2:10 — "We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works."
• Ephesians 3:10 — "Unto principalities and powers in heavenly places might be made known by the church the manifold wisdom of God."
• John 15:8 — "Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit."
• John 15:16 — "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain."

When Jesus saw a tree that was taken from the earth and did not produce result — as compassionate as he was, he did not pity it. He cursed it. Your result is important for the revelation of Jesus. It gives evidence and validation to the fact that he did not lie.

The Six Implications of the Resurrection

What are the implications of the resurrection? In addition to all you have heard — while Peter yet spake these things, the Holy Ghost fell on all them that heard it.

1. The Resurrection validated that Jesus was truly the Son of God

   Romans 1:2-4 — "Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead."

   If Jesus Christ did not resurrect from the dead, there would be no basis for believing, in truth. Jesus was not the first person who claimed divinity. There had been many before that time — men and women who claimed to be connected to the Divine. Jesus had to resurrect as proof.

   Every other religion, with all due respect, and their founders, have graves with bones in them. There is only one grave that is empty. One grave where you will find the place — but not the bones. He is not here. He is risen. Seated at the right hand of God the Father.

   Christianity began with the resurrection. Only the Christian faith has an empty tomb. He resurrected, and there were unbelievers who witnessed it. The angel came and rolled the stone and sat on it. And the Son of the Living God resurrected triumphantly — he was not in a rush.

2. The Resurrection gave credibility to all other words that Jesus spoke

   Matthew 17:5-9 — At the Transfiguration, a voice out of the cloud said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him." As they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them saying, "Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of Man is risen from the dead."

   Don't go around telling anybody if he did not resurrect. Today the church has the audacity to tell everyone — as proof that he rose. He said, "Tell no man until Resurrection happens," because if Resurrection did not happen, your evangelism is useless. The basis of your confidence is that it truly happened.

   Now that he has resurrected — if he tells you that you are light and salt, you can believe him. If he tells you "I am the resurrection and the life," he proved it by resurrecting. He proved by his resurrection that indeed he is faithful and true. The Bible calls him full of grace and truth — no guile, no deception.

   It is based on the awareness of the Resurrection that you can place your trust in every other thing he has said.

   Every time doubt comes, remember the resurrection. Every time fear comes, remember the resurrection. If the grave could not hold truth — truth only died for three days. Any good thing that dies in your life cannot be buried. It will resurrect back again.

   If you do not believe the resurrection, you will not have the faith to believe any other thing he tells you. God can tell you today that though your beginning be small, your latter end shall greatly increase — and when the devil wants to sell you doubt, you remember: where was he when the grave was opened? Where was he when the Son of the Living God came out from Hades?

   Believers, let's stop being superstitious and become spiritual. Spirituality is based on the truthfulness of scripture.

   Your audacity is based on the truth of what he said. Now that he has resurrected, when he says "All authority and power has been given unto you, go ye" — you go with that audacity, knowing that God cannot lie. Not that he does not lie — he cannot lie. A lie is anything you do not have the wherewithal to defend. When you make a statement that you do not have the capacity to bring to pass, you lied. When the Bible says God cannot lie, it means there is an ability within him that insists that all he says comes to pass.

   Many believers will not be able to do much for God in this generation because they truly do not believe the words of Jesus. They hope they believe — they think they believe — but in experience, they do not believe. The character of the spirit of faith is that it is predicated on the soundness of understanding. The resurrection gives the ultimate basis that Jesus is believable.

3. The Resurrection is the central theme of the Gospel of Salvation

   1 Corinthians 15:17 — "And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins."

   In all your preaching, if you omit the resurrection, you are preaching another faith. The strength of the Christian experience lies in the validity of the Resurrection.

   Romans 10:9-10 — "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the lordship of Jesus and believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

   You must believe that God raised him from the dead. When you pray to a God and you are not sure whether or not he is dead or alive, it is the reason why many people's prayer lives are largely a dissipation of energy without conviction.

   2 Timothy 2:8 — "Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead, according to my gospel."

4. The Resurrection established the victory of Christ over sin, Satan, death, and the grave

   Same power that conquered the grave lives in me.

   The resurrection established dominion over sin, dominion over Satan, dominion over death, dominion over the grave. The one who will reign in life is the one who understands the implication of dominion across these four dimensions.

   If the only thing you have dominion over is sin, you are still not free — because Jesus was sinless, and yet Satan still came to him. He was sinless before he became sin. There were other things he had to deal with outside of sin: Satan, the grave, and death.

   Every situation in life that is Antichrist can be traced to the cooperation of these four elements: sin, Satan, the grave, and death. There was the rider upon the pale horse, and his name is Death. Death is not merely a phenomenon — it is a spirit. And like every other spirit, they depend on fear to open the door to them. Spirits are helpless unless fear opens the door.

   John 10:10 — "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy." You can use his tripartite signature in any life and identify where Satan has visited.

   The cure is the consciousness of the resurrection power. When Jesus rose from the grave, it established victory over sin, victory over Satan, victory over the grave, and victory over death.

5. The Resurrection has allowed anyone who believes in Jesus to be a partaker of his life and his victory

   Everything Jesus did was not just for himself, nor for the Father alone — it was as proof of his love for man. The victory that was credited to Jesus was always his own — but it was his alone. This is why he relinquished it and came to start again: because he wanted to incorporate man into that victory.

   He was always God. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." The Earth is the Lord's, the fullness thereof. So why did he have to come and die? Why did he have to go through all of this?

   The most powerful part of the Resurrection was not what Jesus did — but who he did it for. This is what makes us more than conquerors.

   1 Corinthians 15:56-57 — "The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

   It is not something you earn. The spiritual activities we engage in — fastings, prayer, and all the rest — they are only participatory conditions to make good what has been finished in Christ. They have never been, and will never be, the basis for the release of power. The fathers who did exploits in this kingdom were not obsessed with the consciousness of their own righteousness. Their entirety was centred on being partakers — they were obsessed with the revelation of their oneness with Christ.

   2 Peter 1:3-4 — "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."

   I am a partaker of his divine nature. I may not look like it, but it is a spiritual reality. My oneness with Christ gives me the basis.

   When you meet Satan, ask him — the list has increased. "Jesus I know, Paul I know." But it is not a status that was earned — it is a revelation that enlisted you there. The sons of Sceva did not know this. They went in the strength of the flesh, and the demons taught them that it does not work that way.

   Read the entire Ephesians 1 — particularly verses 1 through 8 and verse 11. It is important for you to understand this revelation. Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:17-20 that the Lord himself would grant access to the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him — that the eyes of your understanding would be flooded with light — that you may know:

   • The hope of his calling
   • The riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints
   • The exceeding greatness of his power to those who believe, according to the working of his mighty power — which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead

   Paul is saying: I am praying that you will understand the extent of the power that took Jesus from Hades, brought him back to Earth, took him to Heaven and kept him there — because if you have that understanding, it will take you from anywhere to anywhere.

   The same power that took Jesus from the grave and placed him in a position of authority can take any man from the village and place him to the Nations.

   That is the power that turns weak men to strong men. That is the power that gives men a testimony in their generation. That is the power that gives men a voice even though they do not come with any advantage.

   Everything that Christ purchased and received in Redemption was for us. Whether we will walk in the reality of it in our lifetime depends on our willingness and our understanding. But no believer ordained by God is ordained to a life of weakness and limitation.

6. The Resurrection gives every believer in Christ hope beyond death and beyond the grave

   The resurrection is the answer to every loss, every wound, every grief over a loved one who has gone to be with the Lord.

   When we press for long life, it is not because of the fear of death — it is to give us an opportunity to serve the purposes of God long enough. But whether in life or death, we have assumed a status that is always victorious.

   Hope beyond the grave. Though our outward man perishes, the inward man is renewed. A man who does not fear death is a dangerous man. The resurrection power teaches us that the frame of our living is not confined to the three-dimensional realm.

   Philippians 1:21 — "For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."

   Someday, in a moment — in the twinkling of an eye — there will be a massive activity upon the Earth. We will have the privilege to be joined, to see men we only read about. There will be a glorious reunion. Thanks to the resurrection, we live our lives void of fear, because we already know the end of all things. It is not a call to careless living — we have a responsibility to contend for longevity, to give this body the time to host our spirit while we serve God. But behind it all, the believer is always in advantage.

Your Response: Carrying Resurrection Power to the Nations

God is depending on you to take his resurrection power to the Nations.

Acts 4:33 — "And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus."

The witness does not have to be on the pulpit. For some of us, the witness will be in administration, in business, in the marketplace. The coming revival will not happen the way we expect. The revival will bring Esther. The revival will bring Nehemiah. The revival will bring Ruth. The revival will bring David. Make sure you don't throw away David because you are only looking for Elijah.

There will be a formation of an army distributed by the wisdom of God. Others will go to commerce and the economy, bringing the wealth that funds the end-time programme.

Acts 8:5-6 — "Philip went down to Samaria and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed to those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did."

Not just hearing — hearing and seeing. The manifestation of healing is beyond saying a man is powerful — it is a letter from heaven to men that God is love. There needs to be a restoration of proof. Genuine proof that dumbfounds principalities and powers.

Every man who came into an understanding of the victory of Christ, alongside the consciousness of their oneness and their positional advantage — they lived like gods upon the Earth. Something happens to the believer when you are conscious of your spiritual heritage.

Our audacity is not derived from ourselves — it is a call and a passion from the spirit.

The Mystery of Biblical Names and Prophetic Pathways

Every name you see in the Bible is not just the name of a believer. The names recorded in the Bible are spiritual pathways that produce certain kinds of believers that make up this army. Abraham is not just the name of a man — Abraham is the name given to a certain spiritual pathway that, if followed, will produce a certain kind of warrior. Esther is a description of a way the Holy Spirit can produce champions out of men.

One of your first assignments is to discern where God is taking you, so that you know where to submit yourself for training. If Elijah mentors Esther, Esther will be called Elijah — not Esther. It matters who midwives your becoming.

The reason Ruth became Ruth was because of the counsel and mentorship that came from Naomi. The pain of Naomi was the dimension from which she got the wisdom to advise Ruth. You cannot train Ruth until you have lost to a certain degree.

There is something in the spirit called the gift of pain. There is a dimension of pain that comes to you as a gift from God. An angel came to a young virgin and said, "You are highly favoured." Yet what about Mary's life and journey demonstrates favour as we define it? She did not even write any book. At the end, she had to submit at Pentecost with humility to be filled with the Holy Ghost — no extra privilege was given.

Romans 8:18 — "I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed."

What looks like a tragic situation will become the tray upon which your testimony rests. There is a Clarion call that can only be answered by men who have pain and a certain scar. If you are too innocent and void of certain scars, you will not be able to help those under the anointing. Jesus did not just die — he was pierced across many places, and the blood that flowed from him flowed through the pain.

Walking in Humility as a Gateway to Resurrection Power

One of the ways we access this power is through the mystery called humility. Very few people in the body of Christ are truly humble, and it is a weakness enshrined in human nature. The average person who grew in Africa has been wounded emotionally. When we evolve, we mix our weaknesses and limitations with the operation of the Holy Spirit and make it look as if he is the one making us behave that way.

The cure is the understanding of your positional advantage. We are called sons of God — that is a noble position. No other honour is greater than that. Perhaps the only honour that comes close is being called a friend of God: because the advantage of a friend of God is access to the secrets of God, and the assurance that God will never allow you into destruction.

The Call to Press into Resurrection Power

Philippians 3:10 — "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings."

He did not say "his sufferings" — he said "the fellowship of his sufferings." The sharing. There is a kind of honour that God gives men by allowing them into the fellowship of his suffering. There are seven crowns that will be given to the saints in Revelation. One is called the Martyr's Crown. Not every believer receives that. Hebrews 11 says others died rejecting an opportunity to be delivered because they looked forward to a better resurrection.

This is the generation that will press into the fullness of resurrection power. It may start slowly — like a rain coming, trickling one by one. There are mockers who will laugh at the zeal. But gradually, energised by the spirit and the sincerity of pursuit, there will come a reality that will demonstrate God to this generation in a way that has not been seen.
