We Are Standing on Holy Ground

He said unto Moses, "Take your shoes off, for where you are standing is holy ground." We are standing on holy ground - angels are in this place to heal, to bring parables, to answer questions, to prove God's grace, to show His kindness and love, to show His omnipotence, to show how much He loves you and how much He wants you.

1 Corinthians 4:20

I want to share briefly on the kingdom of power. The kingdom of God is a kingdom of power. Walking with God is not moral lessons. Walking with God is beyond good character, beyond good conduct. There are people who are not in this kingdom who are well behaved, who are moral, who are rehabilitated - it is power that distinguishes.

The Corinthian generation did not come behind in wealth, did not come behind in education. They were the only group of believers that gave Paul a tough time - the two epistles he wrote them were lengthy, addressing issues of marriage, issues of finances, the gifts of the Spirit - they held Paul to healthy debate. Paul had to explain. He told them at this point there is one element they must take along: the element of power.

Power, in science, is the ability to do work. Power is an imposer - it imposes on you what it wants.

Psalm 110:3

What is power? Power is the scripture walking on two legs. And the Word was made flesh - tangible, touchable, feelable, embraceable, seeable. Power is the seeable demonstration of the love of God.

In basic mathematics, the sign before a figure determines the outcome of the figure. There are some people followed by subtraction, some by addition, some by division - but there is someone here, after tonight, who will be followed by multiplication.

Jesus was the best of teachers. At a young age, He could engage rabbis. He gave parables we are so familiar with that we think they really happened - the prodigal son was a parable, but He communicated it so expressly that it became a true story to us. Lazarus and the rich man was a parable, communicated the same way. He was called Rabbi - a Rabbi to rabbis. The disciples sat at His feet and got firsthand information. The Pharisees could not get Him into confusion.

John 7:46

When soldiers were sent to arrest Him, they returned to those who sent them and said, "Never man spake like this man." We went to arrest Him, but His words arrested us.

After teaching His disciples for three and a half years, He said, "I know I taught you, I unveiled scriptures to you, but tarry in Jerusalem - despite what I taught you, despite what I unveiled to you - until you are endued with power from on high."

Power Is the Holy Ghost at Work

This power is the Holy Ghost at work. The Holy Ghost is called the promise of the Father - the active force of God.

Acts 19:2

Paul asked the disciples at Ephesus this question, and they answered, "We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost." The Holy Ghost is the force that bypasses process.

When the disciples were filled with the Holy Ghost, those around them heard them speaking in their own language - they didn't learn it. The Holy Ghost came and bypassed the process. What would have taken structurally three years happens in three weeks when you have the Holy Ghost. What would have taken five years happens in five months. God will bypass process and give you speed, give you acceleration.

The House of Obed-Edom

When I get to heaven, there is one Bible character I want to ask questions of - David. David went to the land of the Philistines to carry the ark of God. When the ark was put on a new cart and it stumbled, a man tried to support the ark from falling. The God I serve does not fall. He was struck dead, right in front of the house of one man, Obed-Edom.

David took the ark into that house out of fear, having just seen a man killed for touching it. Obed-Edom was one of the prophets of God whom Jezebel had chased - after Elijah killed the prophets of Baal, Obed-Edom ran from Israel and stayed around the borders close to the Philistines. He didn't deny his God, but he ran for his life. Hunger met him there, lack met him there, abandonment met him there. He didn't know that one day God was coming to his house.

2 Samuel 6:11

The Bible says God blessed his household, even those connected to him, within three months.

Between now and three months, your household will be blessed. Your family will be blessed. Your children will be blessed. Your finances will be blessed.

The Emblem of This Kingdom Is Power

John 1:12

There is a connection between belief and power. The Bible says with God all things are possible, but many of us don't understand that scripture - it doesn't say "to God" or "for God," it says, "to him that believeth." So long as I am with God, all things are not just possible to God, but possible to me also. So long as I am with God, turnaround is possible. So long as I am with God, greatness is possible.

Many years ago, in 1994, sitting in a school of ministry, I heard a minister give testimony of raising the dead, and from that day I wanted to do the same. Some time later, while visiting a hospital, I went looking through the intensive care unit for someone who had died, but found no one. As I was leaving, I came across a woman outside the door crying, with her child on the ground - the doctors had told her there was nothing more they could do. I prayed for the child, and as I finished, the child appeared to have died completely under my hands. I gave the child back to the mother in fear, expecting trouble, but she discovered that a white spot that had been in the child's eye had disappeared, and she would not let me go. I was afraid and wanted to run, but the Holy Spirit instructed me to call the child by name. After several attempts, on the final call there was movement in my hands - the child opened its eyes and began to cry, and strength came back into the child's body. The Holy Ghost covered my shame that day. Power covered my shame.

Whatever has swallowed your confidence, by the power of the Holy Ghost, shall be restored.

Power Changes Times and Seasons

Acts 1:6-8

Times and seasons are determined by power - you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you.

John 5

There was a man by the pool of Bethesda for thirty-eight years. An angel came down at a certain season and troubled the water, and whoever stepped in first was healed. This man saw thirty-eight miracles happen in his lifetime and yet never received his own. Even when Jesus came to him, he was still saying, "I have no man." The God of men was standing before him, and he was looking for a man of God to help him. How can a child of God, who has the Holy Ghost living inside, feel they have nobody?

Philippians 2:13

He changes times. Someone's season is changing.

Power Belongs to God

Power belongs to God.

Acts 19

Paul saw great spiritual warfare in Ephesus, a city devoted to the goddess Diana, called Artemis by the Greeks - the same spirit appears in different cultures under different names.

Acts 19:35

The image of the goddess was said to have fallen from the sky. Every confrontation Paul had in Ephesus was a confrontational place.

Ephesians 6:12

The spirit behind the silversmiths' opposition to Paul in Ephesus was the spirit of Diana - but power belongs to God. I have preached the gospel on every continent, from Asia to Europe to the Middle East, and I have seen things happen that made me know that power belongs to God.

Many years ago, some overzealous brothers brought me a case of a teenage girl, sixteen turning seventeen, that no pastor could minister deliverance to - she would overpower the pastors who tried. I went to her. As the ministration continued over several days, the manifestation in her grew so strong that grown men attempting to restrain her were lifted off the ground. The doors of the church building remained supernaturally shut, so that the congregation could not gather for service.

By the third day I was nearly exhausted, when the angel of the Lord appeared to me and said, "Don't pray - worship, adore." As I shifted from striving in prayer to worship, there was a breakthrough within minutes.

Romans 13:1

Powers are real, but the power of God is greater. I was in the UK once, and met a woman who had been married five years without a child. I told her that by that time the next day she would be looking for me, because the cause of her childlessness was in her own house. The next day, it was revealed that her own mother had been practicing witchcraft in secret against her. I'm speaking of spiritual powers, but the real power belongs to God.

Anything that is out of line, out of order, in your life or in the life of your children, the Holy Ghost will fix it. The power of God will fix it.

1 Corinthians 4:20

The kingdom of God is not in words, it's in power. Where a doctor's report has stood against you, in your body you will see the power of God. In your life, you will see the power of God.

• Oh Lord, in my life, by your power, change times and seasons.

Prophetic Ministration

In the season of prophetic ministry that followed, declarations were made over individuals present concerning deliverance from manipulation, breaking of contrary and familiar spirits, restoration of households, acceleration, and the lifting of burdens.

The strong man working against your household is brought down. The end of the wicked in your life has come. The end of manipulation has come. Every foul spirit, every familiar spirit, every witchcraft spirit, every spirit of bondage over your family, is commanded to release its hold in the name of Jesus. Bodies will be rolled away, and the power of the Holy Ghost will fall upon you - some will feel it like fire, like electricity, like wind, like cold; this is the anointing of God. What has not been done in your family, you will be the one to do it. The Lord is destroying premature death in the family.
