God desires to raise a generation of witnesses who have power, men and women who can give evidence to the gospel beyond sarcasm, argument and controversy.

1 Corinthians 4:20, Mark 6:1&2, John 14-11, John 4:48

There are 2 sides to the communication/ministry of the word

1. There is the message/communication of the word
2. and the demonstration/evidence of the word.

Every time these 2 sides don't go hand in hand, there will be a problem with the potency of the messages.

We trivialize the things that the conviction of men depend on and wonder why they don't believe

The consequence of robbing ourselves of the completion of strong doctrinal communication and backing it up with power is that people become use to a gospel that does not carry power.

As a result, many drift toward occult practices because they cannot see the difference between where they used to be and what is now being preached to them.

In recent history, many people began their journeys through encounters, not necessarily through studying the Bible. As a result, while they had undeniable evidence of having encountered God, they were not always grounded in sound doctrine.

Satan exploited this gap - a pursuit of intimacy and power that was not anchored in a thorough understanding of God and His ways. Consequently, it became difficult to discern which manifestations were truly from God and which were not.

In response, God began to raise teachers and priests who diligently examined these experiences, revealing that many supernatural encounters were a mixture of both the Spirit of God and other influences. They worked to restore honour to the supremacy of The Word of God.

Through this corrective move, many imbalances emerged, as it became evident that several long-held beliefs and practices were inconsistent with Scripture.

Using Nigeria as a point of emphasis, there has been a strong focus on the communication of The Word of God and the ways of God, and this is a great commendation to the ministers of the Gospel.

While the teaching ministry has commendably addressed and corrected the doctrines of devils, the subtle operation of seducing spirits has not yet been corrected.

While the Gospel and The Word of God have been coherently taught in a way that is intelligent and pragmatic, an area where many ministers have done well. However, the power component of The Word has been slowly ignored.

However, over time, another imbalance arose. More teachers emerged who emphasized the intellectual dimensions of the gospel, rich in knowledge, but often lacking in power. In the process of correcting one imbalance, we diminished another vital component - power.

Now, we are left recounting past moves of God as though the graces that empowered previous generations are no longer available to the Church, all in an attempt to compensate for the earlier excesses.

Any Believer who is completely ignorant as to the ways of God is either lazy or is under a teaching priest with a lopsided understanding of the ways of God.

Bearing witness to the gospel was never supposed to stop at philosophies or eloquent of fruitful words. Another side of the mandate, was to present the evidences that validate the gospel, the evidence of transformation, growth, real deliverance, conversion, raising a responsible people.

There is clarion call by the spirit of God - there needs to be an emergence of a generation of men and women who have really touched the authentic power of the spirit of God

Genuine power has a price and is not a gift

All be it, it is by the word, but there is a price. Some who know there is a price, don't know the price.

The end time witnesses that will have to be effective in communicating the gospel are those who will balance doctrine and power, wisdom and power, the message and the evidence that backs that message

When power is available, words do not need to be many.

The imbalance is that if you don't understand doctrine and a sound teaching of the word, you will become an irresponsible christian whose life is largely superstitious

The gospel is only as hard as the absence of power to support it

If God can raise the dead, he can quicken the living

The non negotiable price of power and mighty works

1. The price of intimacy with holy ghost and consecration

   The price of all of God is all of you. Unreserved surrender.

   Consecration has a foundation of abstinence of sin and unrighteousness - desire and press to abstain from every appearance of evil. But it doesn't stop here, that is 20% of it, the 80% is devotion(giving yourself wholly to a cause)

   Devotion talks about dying to self and enthroning Christ as Lord over every affair of your life.

   If there is any other reason for pursuing anything in your life above the desire to see Jesus revealed, you are carnal

   Intimacy and consecration also demands knowing how to engage intimately with the holy spirit

   Acts 10:38

   Don't go about doing good, when you have not encountered the anointing of the holy ghost.

   The ministry of the holy ghost go beyond praying in tongues.

   If you try to do it with the flesh, you will get into the realm of legalism and consecration - living a truly consecrated life is by the agency of the holy spirit.

   Listen to the ministry of the holy spirit

   Truly if you really want to find the power of God that empowers you to be a witness and work mighty works, there needs to be a restoration back to the secret place.

2. The price to pursue/press for revelation knowledge

   2 Peter 1:2

   Listen to the message the knowledge of the holy and Knowing God experientially

   There's confidence that comes when you know God 2 Timothy 1:12

   The foundation of bible faith is the knowledge of God not just the knowledge of principles, because God is going to give you instructions that will seem to defile every principle that you know.

   A generation that does not pay the price to know God is a generation that will be and remain powerless. It is a sacrifice to know God, but there is value and profit in knowing God.

   Matthew 13:11, Jeremiah 6:16, Ephesians 17:1

   The names seen in the bible are not just stories having individuals, they are spiritual pathway that lead to a certain kind of believer.

   Proverbs 3:5, Proverbs 18:1, Ephesians 1:18-19, Ephesians 4:18, Colossians 3:16, Isaiah 60:1

3. The price of violent faith Matthew 11:12

   Hebrew 11:1-3&6

   What is faith?

   Your confidence assurance - an expression of your conviction, your depth of persuasion about God and the integrity of His word.The name given to the action of obedience you take in honor to the fact that you believe God.

   The word "violence" is the description of the extent of aggression in terms of the risk you are able to take to prove that you love God.

   Living a life that is perpetually looking for guarantees will slow you down and you will not be half way when your time on earth is over.

4. The price of humility James 4:6

   Perpetually acknowledging God as the reason and the basis for any result in your life.

   There something about the natural man that craves to be celebrated.

   Pride depletes!

   Remember that no man is indispensable.

5. The price for Love

   There are 4 levels of the love, if you miss any, you cannot carry this power

   1. Love for God
   2. Love for the body of Christ
   3. Love for souls

   The more excellent way is to work in love.

   Love is connected to power

   Compassion is from Love, the ability to touch by the feelings of the infirmity of God's people

   John 3:16

What is the benefit of manifesting genuine apostolic power

1. Mighty works silences arguments and sarcasms

   Acts 4:10-14

   For as long as the sick are not healed, oppressed not delivered, the transforming power is not seen around our environment, arguments, sarcasms, and every kind of ill speaking against Jesus, his vessels and against the church will continue.

   And it won't stop until there is a manifestation of the power of God - Mighty works

2. It validates the gospel and the messages/witnesses

   Acts 4:33

3. It compels nations, the unbelieving world to be convicted and to come to Jesus

   John 20:30-31
