Let Everything That Has Breath Give Praise

Psalm 150:6 — Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. The Bible did not say, "Let everything that has a baby," or "Let everything that has a car." It said everything that has breath.

Going out and coming back home safely is underrated. In this country, police can shoot. Things happen in the open. But a container fell on a car in Lagos and the people inside came out alive — and they were not looking at the state of their car. They were worshipping God. When a thing like that happens, it is not who is right, it is who is left.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. The Bible knows some people's businesses may not be booming. But they are alive. And there is no limit to the possibilities of a man who is still alive.

The Hope of the Living

Ecclesiastes 9:4 — To him that is joined to all the living there is hope, for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

There is no limit to what God can do if you stay alive. Things may be tight. Things may be bad. But there is absolutely no limit to what God can do in the life of someone who is still breathing, still standing, still believing.

Psalm 3:5 — I laid me down and slept. I awoke, for the Lord sustained me. Not everybody who lays down can sleep. Sleep is underrated — the peace to sleep through a night is a gift many do not have. And when you sleep, you lose the power to wake yourself up. It was God that woke you. Not your alarm clock.

The Lord sustained you. That is the foundation of a life of thanksgiving.

Gratitude as a Foundation for Subduing Kingdoms

We are grateful for January. We are grateful for February. We are grateful for March. We are grateful for April. We are grateful for May. Gratitude is not seasonal — it is the posture from which kingdom advancement becomes possible.

Psalm 100:4 — Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise. The gateway into the presence where kingdoms are subdued is thanksgiving. You do not barge into breakthrough — you enter through gratitude.
