God's Method: Speaking

For 17 years, research into the Bible revealed one consistent pattern: every man and woman who performed a miracle never learned it beforehand. Joshua told the sun to stand still and had never seen anyone do it. Rahab declared that her house would be spared in the fall of Jericho, and it was. None of them attended a school for miracle workers. They simply spoke — and what they spoke came to pass.

This is the subject: bring your miracle about by speaking.

Before God Said, Nothing Moved

In Genesis 1:1, God created the heaven and the earth. But in verse 2, the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. Something happened after creation — the enemy came down and blanketed the planet. Nothing moved. Everything stood still for many years. The Spirit of God hovered, but nothing changed.

Then in verse 3: "And God said."

Before God said, nothing was moving. Everything stood still. But the moment God opened his mouth, order was established. From that first declaration, God has never kept quiet again. For as long as God kept quiet, the earth remained void. When he spoke, there was.

The same principle applies to our lives. When you do not learn how to speak, you become dumb — and problems remain. When we have sickness, lack, or darkness, the instinct is to shrink and quiver. But God's method is to speak against it.

David's Three Weapons

When David came to the battlefield, he came with three weapons: his God (invisible), his belief (invisible), and his mouth (visible). Goliath came with sword, spear, and shield. The whole army of Israel had been running from Goliath for forty days. But David's reaction was different.

Goliath died when David spoke — not when the stone landed. David announced the outcome: "This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand. I will smite you and take your head. The beasts of the earth shall eat your flesh." That declaration sealed the victory before the battle began.

Every demon in your body, every sickness, every pain in your marriage — when you begin to speak against it, they begin to die.

What Keeps the Problem in Place

For as long as God kept quiet, the earth was void. For as long as Israel kept running, Goliath kept coming. For as long as Joshua's army kept fighting conventional battles, Jericho stood. It was not until God said "March and shout" — and they obeyed — that the walls fell.

It is not hard to march. But it is hard to shout when the wall is still standing and God's method looks foolish. Without faith it is impossible. The confession of faith must precede the manifestation. What the eye has not yet seen must first be declared by the mouth.

Moses and the Red Sea

Moses faced 2 million people on one side and the Red Sea on the other with Pharaoh's army behind them. He began to pray. God said: "Stop praying. Say to my people, go forward." Every act of miracle is an action. Believers must learn to stop looking at the obstacle and begin to step forward.

When they stepped toward the Red Sea, the sea parted. The miracle happened not because they prayed more, but because they moved in faith — following the spoken word of God. If you can risk your life for a miracle, you get the result. The first step of faith unlocks what the years of waiting could not.

Speaking to Your Body

If you can lay hands on someone else and they recover, the same anointing works on your own body. You do not need to call around when sickness comes. Speak to it. "Stomach, you are sick. I command you, be healed in the name of Jesus." 365 days a year, declare your wellness. Confess it, stand by it, live by it.

Spectators are useless in the church. Participators are useful to God. The next conference you attend, go as a participator — not a spectator. The anointing is in you to cast out demons, heal the sick, and bring freedom to those who are bound.
