Things to notice from Acts 3:1-8

1. The timing of the miracle. All of this happened at the hour of prayer.

   The basis of the story was that they were committed to the ministry of prayer.

   Philippians 4:6

   Every subject of your life can be prayed about(made known unto God)

   There many things that happen to people during prayer, Jesus - Luke 9:29

   An attack of your prayer life is an attack on your destiny.

   It is your responsibility under God to work with the spirit of wisdom to carve out a schedule for effective excelling prayer life

   Many things are connected to prayer

2. The degrading power of afflictions and calamity

   There's a degrading effect that the calamity becomes greater than a name Acts 3:2

   Another example is "the woman with the issue of blood"

   Good news: Isaiah 62:2

   May my God give you a new name!

3. Acts 3:2 ...Lame from his mother's womb....

   The bible makes us understand that him being lame was not his fault

   John 9:8-9 - Jesus's reply: "neither"

   The origin of an affliction or condition is not as important as your determination to be free from it

   Stop blaming situations and conditions and be determined to make a change.

4. There are consequences to prolonged negative situation.

   Never downplay the effect of staying for a long time in a negative situation

   • Low self esteem
   • Anger
   • Resentment
   • Hatred - It seems very justifiable to hate God and men when you find out that you were not given a chance

   There are many things about God that if you are not taught and you have to look through the lens of your pain it will not make sense

   • Wrong perception about God

5. There are 4 miracles that happened in the story

   3 were silent, only 1 was obvious and that was because of the rest 3 happened

   1. Acts 3:2 - Certain men believed in him enough to carry him daily. The miracle is in their refusing to be tired. The fact they carry him daily means they take him back at night.
   2. The location they laid him, the temple called beautiful. They laid him at a place which could start correcting his foundation and building his faith.

   Kinds of destiny helper:

   • Divine connectors
   • Men of influence
   • Gifted men
   • Burden bearers - These are men who love you regardless Mark 2:4

   3. The ability to look beyond his pain and humble himself to be carried.

      Luke 16:1-3

      A man can lack capacity and even when help can be offered he says "I am ashamed."

      If help comes while you are rising, please don't reject it.

      If I was that man, I will always say "Thank you"

      Don't fail to say "thank you" while you're being helped.

      Beware of times when your helpers don't need to help you again, they still need your "thank you."

      When help comes, receive it. Help can compress time.

      The assignment of help is to make things possible and make things easy

6. As he laid daily at the gate beautiful, something began to happen to his mind

   The first miracle you need in your life is not a change in your condition but a change of perception.

   A change of perception always foreruns a change in condition.

7. The 2 abilities in the lame man that he recognized and used.

   1. His ability to see - perceive
   2. His ability to ask - verbalize his request Matthew 7:7

8. From the time he discovered he had the ability to see, his remaining in that condition was no longer an issue of his foundation or his upbringing but His mentality

   Jeremiah 33:3

9. There was a problem with his asking, he was asking for money because he never thought that healing was possible

   There are people who are asking for the wrong thing.

   It matters what you ask and what you ask depends on what you know

   James 4:3

Acts 3:3-4

Seeing the right people was the God factor in this miracle.

The mentality to rise up and work is what attracted the ability to rise up and work

When mentality is intact, power will not be deficient.

Acts 3:6

Why ask for silver and gold when the ability to walk can be asked?

Why ask for money when you can get the wisdom to get money?

You cannot walk unless you rise up.

Don't ask for silver and gold, that will solve a temporary problem.

Another way to say, "rise up and walk":

"Lazarus, come forth!"

Knowledge is what makes your praying and your asking most rewarding.

According to the law men, eventually these helpers will become weary.

Your helpers are users until you meet the helper

10. Acts 3:7

    The name of Jesus as powerful as it is, without a step of faith from the one wanting to receive remains impotent.

    The power was waiting for obedience.

    It said his feet and ankle receive strength - meaning not only can a man receive, his feet and ankle can receive so His finances can receive.

    The name of Jesus without faith on the part of the receiver will fail to deliver result

    The power of God only moved when the man moved

Rise up and walk

1. Is a prophetic call to partner with God and to step into new prophetic seasons, to open up new chapters concerning your life and destiny, to step into new horizons of kingdom exploit.

   For someone rise up and walk can mean step into the next chapter of your calling.

   For someone rise up and walk can mean make notable progress and advancement void of excuses.

   For someone rise up and walk can mean press to know God at a deeper level

   For someone rise up and walk can mean contend for higher levels of grace

   Whatever it means to you, the message is "Rise up and walk"

   Do not give flamesy excuses again, you have the power to see and the power to ask; ask for the ancient path.

   There jars of this oil loitering around the body of Christ, when you are hungry enough and even humble to be carried, one day you meet Peter, one day you will meet John, and the day you meet them to don't ask for silver and gold, ask for the ability to rise up and walk.

2. The mentality to rise up and walk is your own part, your own responsibility while the ability to rise up and walk is God's part.

   While you are waiting for a destiny helper, you have a responsibility to labour through the word to build a mentality to attract and preserve the miracle... buy the truth, buy books, get the mentality to preserve it.

   The mentality to rise and walk is what attracts the ability to rise up and walk.

   While you are waiting to receive the anointing, God will not fast for, God will not pray for you, enlarge your capacity.

3. Every manifestation of the hand of God upon your life, should draw you closer to God and not away from God.

   Acts 3:8

   "...entered with them into the temple"

   He proved to God that his ability to rise up and walk was not a curse because it led him to enter the temple.

   Do you know that God is pained in His heart when believers receive of the abundant mercies of God and it draws them away from Him.

4. For every manifestation of the hand of God upon your life, upon your destiny, realize that you owe it to give God thanks praise and Glory.

   Acts 3:9

   "And all the people saw him walking and praising God!"

5. Acts 3:11-12

   It takes alot humility and a deep knowledge and refrence for God to stand with your result in front of you and tell people as much as you clap for me, let me point you to Jesus.

Acts 3:6

"Begin now to walk and go on walking..."

Rise up and walk could mean get back your prayer alter

Joshua 13:1

The level you have seen is not all there is
