Three Kinds of People

Wealth is the abundance of valuables — health is wealth, good name is wealth, peace is wealth. It is beyond paper money. The summary is: supply of tangibles minus debt. A debtor is not considered wealthy.

There are three kinds of people on earth:

• Survival — if people don't give them, they don't have. They become adjusted and comfortable with dependency.
• Need before supply — they must reach a crisis before they run to pay bills. They gather money reactively.
• Flow — before the need arises, supply is already available. Deuteronomy 8:18 — a land flowing with milk and honey.

Life is not wired to favor you. Gravity pulls you down. Organs weaken with age. For life to favor you, you must engage the spirit. That is why some people, when they want wealth, enter a cult — because they understand that to move beyond the normal, spirits must be involved. For those in Christ, the Holy Spirit is that engagement.

It is what follows you that determines your outcome. In mathematics, the sign that follows the number determines the result. Some people have subtraction following them, some division, some addition — but some have multiplication. The Bible says: these signs shall follow you. What is following you?

The Holy Spirit Is a Person

John 16:7 — if I depart, I will send him. The pronoun "him" in grammar is used to qualify a personality. The Holy Spirit is a person with:

• Emotion — Ephesians 4:30: grieve not the Holy Spirit. He can be offended.

• Will — 1 Corinthians 12:11: the Spirit giveth to every man as he wills.
• Mind — Romans 8:27: he that searcheth the heart knoweth the mind of the Spirit.

Because the Holy Spirit has a mind of his own, you cannot impose on him. There are people who know the Bible letter by letter but do not know the Holy Spirit. Knowing the letter and not knowing the Spirit makes a person a Pharisee — you can explain the scripture from Greek and Hebrew and still lack the Spirit.

The difference is observable: the fruit of the Spirit is the character of the Spirit. The gifts are for the people; the fruit is for you. Galatians 5:22 — when the Spirit is sown in your life and you allow him to bring fruit, that fruit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.

You can speak in tongues and be a wicked person. You have the gift but not the fruit. Gifts can deceive — fruit cannot. You judge your walk with God by your fruit, not your gift. Samson came out of a prostitute's house and still carried the gates of Gaza — that was the gift without the fruit.

The proof of the Holy Spirit working in a life is:

• Brokenness — overwhelming compassion that makes you unable to attack, condemn, or dismiss those in error.
• Intimacy — intercourse with the Spirit: alignment, synergy, proximity, oneness. When you have intimacy with the Holy Spirit, there are things you will not say. He guards your utterance. He puts structure and order in your life. Intimacy brings a purity consciousness — there are things you don't do because you don't want to offend him.
• Announcement — Luke 4:14: Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit and his fame spread. When the Holy Spirit picks up your life, he takes you from the backside to the frontside. He can pick you from obscurity and place you on a world stage.

Prayer: The Sixth Platform for Wealth

Prayer is governed by vision. Mark 11:23 — for verily I say unto you, whosoever shall say to this mountain, be thou removed and be cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass. Vision must come before declaration.

No answer without picture. Mark 11:24 — whatsoever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them. You must first see it.

In prayer, there are two dynamics:

• Declaration — speaking your expectation
• Affirmation — confessing your redemption: what God has already said concerning you

Words of declaration are prayer. Calling forth those things that be not as though they were is prayer. What you speak over your children, your spouse, your business is prayer. A word not declared is not confirmed. Daniel 10:12 — from the day that thou didst set thine heart to chasten thyself, thy words were heard and I am come for thy word.

When you have a picture, nobody forces you to pray. Vision makes intercession natural. When a man has no vision, intercession is a burden.

Any word you speak that contradicts your picture neutralizes your prayer. You cannot speak prosperity inside the church and go outside and speak the opposite — your picture and your words must align.
