God's Justice System 3 by Apostle Femi Lazarus: MP3 Download & Sermon Notes
Prayer Is The Key, But Not The Only Key
lightbulb Message Summary - Key Nuggets
- God thinks differently from how we think — and you cannot walk with him without aligning to the way he works.
- Being born again and spirit-filled is not a guarantee of success in life; there are principles governing every domain, and ignorance of them is not excused by anointing.
- Favor with God comes through devotion; favor with men comes through character — and Jesus grew in both.
- Good understanding brings favor; the way of a transgressor is hard — mastering human relationship is as important as mastering prayer.

The God Who Thinks Differently
Look at Isaiah 55:8-9. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Many believers have built assumptions about the way God thinks — some assume he is Nigerian, operating by cultural instincts. He is not. There is no victory in view until you align with his thinking and the way he works.
And let this land: a very prayerful Christian — one who does not miss morning devotion, who does not miss Sunday service, who fasts regularly — can still be defeated in life. Yes. It is very possible.
Prayer is the master key. But it is not the only key. And it does not fill potholes.
If 5,000 Nigerians die annually from road accidents, and the proper institutions were in place, that number would drop to 500 — not by prayer, but by functional systems. God did not cause the accidents. The systems that were broken caused them. God is just. He will not override the consequences of neglect simply because you prayed.

The Same God Who Watched Jesus Die
Here is the measure of God's justice: the same God who did not excuse Jesus from dying on the cross — the same God who watched his only begotten son be stripped, beaten, and crucified because that was the requirement — that same God will not wave your irresponsibility and say: because you are my child I veto it, you succeed automatically.
He watched Jesus die. That tells you something about the way he operates. He is not someone you can fool with spiritual language while the principles you are violating remain unaddressed.
- A prophecy does not fulfil itself. You have a part to play.
- Your poverty can be higher than your prayer life. Those are not contradictory realities.
- An impartation from a powerful minister placed on an unprepared person produces nothing exceptional — it is the quality of the vessel that determines what is retained.

Jesus Grew in Favour with God and with Men
Look at Luke 2:52: And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and in favour with man.
You have heard much about favour with God. You have not heard enough about favour with men.
Favour with God comes through devotion — time in his presence, in his word, growth in the spirit. That produces intimacy, the manifestation of the spirit, the joy of the Lord. All of it is real and essential.
But favour with men comes through character. And God will not override men in order to bless you if your character has made you someone men will not receive.
- Even the ministry of Jesus needed to be publicly endorsed by John the Baptist before it could go further. It matters who endorses you in the scheme of things.
- The timeliest prayer, the highest anointing — none of it bypasses the human gateway if you have burned every door on your way out.
- The most difficult people to employ in some organisations are Christians — not because Christians are not called to excellence, but because a certain orientation produces arrogance rather than wisdom.
Good Understanding Brings Favour
Look at Proverbs 13:15. Good understanding wins favour from others, but the way of the unfaithful is hard like barren dry soil.
Master human relationship. Not manipulation — mastery. Learn to deal with people. Learn to interact with wisdom. Understand that the fact that you are angry does not mean you will not need that same door again. You will need people. This world is a very small place.
- Those who respond to every frustration by burning bridges are training themselves for poverty — social and financial.
- One man's endorsement — from someone who has earned respect over years — can open what years of shouting into a microphone did not reach.
- Social footprint is now permanent. What you say publicly today can be retrieved and presented years from now. Speak like a person who understands the weight of tomorrow.
Favour is not scarce. What is scarce is the character that attracts and sustains it. Dear Christian, it is your character that makes it difficult — not the absence of anointing.
