God's Justice System 5 by Apostle Femi Lazarus: MP3 Download & Sermon Notes
Time And Chance Happen To Those Who Are Ready
lightbulb Message Summary - Key Nuggets
- The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong — it is to those who recognise and maximise their appointed season.
- What looks like delay is often preparation; the time spent moving toward your kyros moment is not wasted — it is required.
- The law of prioritization: God cuts off what bears no fruit and intensifies investment in what does — the same principle governs organisations, nations, and individual lives.
- The law of contribution: everything that survives does so by contributing; the moment you stop adding value you become a liability.

Time and Chance Happen to All — But Not at the Same Time
Look at Ecclesiastes 9:11. The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favour to men of skill — but time and chance happens to them all.
There is regular time — what the Greeks call Kronos — and there is appointed time — Kairos. A Kairos moment does not carry a label. It will arrive looking like regular time.
If something is appointed to happen in your life at a particular point, and you are currently twelve hours behind that point — the time you spend moving toward it is not delay. It is preparation. Misinterpret the preparation as delay, and you will not recognise the appointed time when it arrives. You will not be ready. You will miss it.
Moses appeared before the Israelites the first time and thought they would know that by this hand God would deliver them — and they did not understand. One wrong voice spoke. And that one voice bought them forty years. One person. Not a majority. One person who did not understand the season, and whose rejection was taken by God as the conclusion of the entire company.
The devil knows that the easiest way to cause someone to miss a season is to cause them to miss the time of preparation for that season.
The Law of Prioritization
Look at John 15:2: Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh away. And every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
This is not merely a spiritual principle — it is the governing logic of every system that functions. In organisations, it is called the 80/20 rule: 20% of activity generates 80% of results. Wise leaders channel 80% of their resources toward that 20%.
God functions the same way:
- Any branch that produces result will be maintained and accelerated to produce more.
- Any branch that is not producing will be removed — not out of cruelty, but because the system cannot sustain dead weight.
- This means God is result-oriented. Being born again, spirit-filled, and present in church is not a sufficient criterion for success in life. The question is: what is being produced?
The most important activity of any local assembly is not music, not miracles, not the size of the crowd — it is the word of God being taught and received. That is what grows people. And grown people produce fruit. The yoke of bondage is not destroyed by shouting — it is destroyed by fatness, by the accumulation of the word inside a person until they outgrow what was meant to oppress them. Isaiah 10:27.
The Law of Contribution
Look at Romans 1:20. From the creation of the world, the invisible things of God are clearly understood by the things that are made. Study nature and you understand the management system of God.
Plants contribute oxygen. Humans contribute CO2. Both need what the other provides. The entire ecosystem survives by contribution. The moment an entity stops contributing, it becomes what? Dead weight.
- In your family, once you have nothing to say, nothing to give, nothing to contribute — meetings start happening without you.
- In your workplace, once your function cannot be distinguished from absence, the organisation begins to plan your removal.
- Those whose problem you solve — that is the level you belong to. Joseph solved a problem in prison and was noticed in the prison. When he solved a problem at the palace level, he was elevated to the palace.
The question is not: what do I want from life? The question is: what problem am I positioned to solve? Those whose problems you solve determine the level at which you live.
What God Is Waiting For
God told Abraham, Look at the stars — so shall your seed be. He told the Israelites, Look to Abraham your father. The image placed before you determines what you will stretch toward. Without an image of greatness in front of you, the default is survival.
There is a level of God's investment that is not available to those whose prayers are exclusively about personal needs. The moment your thinking expands from give me this, give me that — to Lord, how can I advance your project? — you transition from being a recipient to being a partner. And God finances his partners differently.
Anna waited in the temple. She said: give me a son, Lord — and it is yours. That shift — from personal need to kingdom contribution — is what opened the door. It is not about the quantity of prayer. It is about the quality of the heart behind it.
