Light and Understanding

And the entrance of God's word brings light and understanding unto the simple. When you get it, everything will align. Once you catch it, everywhere goes still.

The Just Shall Live by Faith

The just shall live by faith — and living here is not just to be alive by faith, or merely to survive by faith, but to thrive. Your standard of what living means is determined by your faith. Jesus said he came that they might have life, and have it more abundantly. So there is life, and there is what? Abundant life. All of us are alive, but we have life in different abundances. One of the factors that determines that difference is faith.

Levels of Financial Provision

There are confessions for finances at different levels. Consider these as a framework for where faith can take you:

• Level One — Psalm 37:25: "I have been young and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread." This is the confession of someone at the end of their rope — where God comes through at the last moment.

• Level Two — Psalm 23:5: "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. My cup runs over." At this level you have enough and it is beginning to overflow — not just enough to eat, but enough that those around you, even enemies, can see it.
• Level Three — Deuteronomy 28:12: Many countries will come to you and you will be lending them money. This goes beyond the cup overflowing — you are now a source of supply to nations.
• Level Four — Malachi 3:10: "Try me and see if I will not open the windows of heaven and let out a blessing that you will not have store room enough to contain."

Depending on the level you want to walk in, that is the level you experience. These are lights, and they are in levels.

Faith Grows Through Exposure

One of the ways faith grows is by exposure. When you get into certain environments, you start seeing possibilities. The just shall live by faith — and one of the ways this impartation happens is by exposure. Your environment impacts your standard of living and your quality of faith. What you consistently behold is a form of meditation.

That is why a person who grew up watching a father beat a wife is more likely to repeat that pattern. Nobody meditates on it deliberately — the operating system is installed by repeated exposure. In the same way, everything that answers to consciousness shifts when what you are consistently seeing changes.

If Solomon was your father and you grew up where gold was heaped like dust, anywhere you step into, you will believe you can take it. Your environment creates your normal.

Boundaries and the Heart

The Bible says, "Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it flows the boundaries of your life." The word there is boundaries. So when you guard your heart, you guard the boundary of your experiences.

How do you know the boundary of your experiences? When you confess something and it feels like you are joking — that is the boundary. The confession you cannot say with full conviction is showing you where your heart currently lives. That one that your heart is struggling with — carry it and keep speaking it until you break it.

Your results will show what you have meditated on. You do not need to tell anyone what is in your heart. If I look at the boundaries of your life, I can see what is there. Things do not go beyond what is in the heart. Don't deceive yourself.

How to Install These Lights

Three things:

1. Prayer — Pray the Pauline prayers. Especially Ephesians 1:15-21. These people already had faith in the Lord Jesus and love for all the saints — yet Paul still prayed that the eyes of their understanding would be enlightened. Are you telling me you can have faith in the Lord Jesus, love for all the saints, and the eyes of your understanding are still not enlightened? Yes. That is why we must pray this specifically and consistently. Be more targeted. Don't just pray carelessly. Pray prayers that give you spiritual intelligence. The one that jumps at you when you are reading is your own. When it hits your heart, it becomes your default confession. We believe, therefore we speak.
2. Fasting — Matthew 17:19-21. Fasting deals with certain classes of doubt and unbelief. You may not even know you are doubting. But faith without works is dead. If you believe, you will start doing differently. Isaiah 58:6-9 shows clearly what fasting produces: your light breaks forth like the morning, your healing springs forth speedily, your righteousness goes before you, the glory of the Lord is your rear guard. Fasting suppresses the flesh and allows the spirit to rise and thrive. Take out three days and focus on one truth. Read on it, confess it, listen to messages on it, pray into it. By day three, four, or five — your light will break forth.
3. Meditation — Joshua 1:8: "This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth." Meditation is how you crack a scripture open and get the juice out of it. Psalm 1:2: In his law he meditates day and night. Psalm 119:97: "Oh how I love your law. It is my meditation all the day." Meditation is work. It is not a once-on-Sunday thing. Talk the word. Gossip steals your meditation time and leaks your destiny — it is the behavior of people who have not yet seized their future. Get a friend you can confess the word with. Cultivate the culture of speaking the word all the time.

Testimonies Expand Your Heart

Download testimonies in the specific area you are believing God for — finance, health, academics. Listen until you realize that God can do anything. Once your light breaks forth, you will know it. You start making moves because you are high on light.

The Measure You Give

With the measure with which you give, it shall be measured back to you. You know your measure by what you give. If you are struggling to give a certain amount, it is unlikely that double that amount will hit you — because your heart has not expanded there yet. Give ridiculously. The first recipient of your giving is your own heart. Your heart is enlarged. Those amounts no longer scare you.

Your seasons of struggling have expired. Receive strength to take action in the name of Jesus. As you take action, let the Jordan part. What God will do in your life will be like what he has done for 100 lives put together. My boundaries are shifting. I can do more. More is happening for me.

• Father, we thank you because you answer prayers. This prayer we have prayed, you have heard and answered. Everyone watching and listening is strengthened to take action. As they write, as they act, let there be results.
• Everyone that needs to be in their environment for them to shift — let there be alignment. Everywhere they need to be for them to shift, let there be alignment.
• Difficult walls that have stood against their expressions, stood against the fullness of their experiences — as they start dealing with it through meditation, grant them strength to run through truths. Grant them strength to leap over walls. Let the boundaries fade away.
• From today they will break the records of their parents, of their entire lineage put together. What none of them could ever see or touch or experience — go and see, touch, and experience. May the light that causes you to keep winning in an area hit your spirit right now.
• May mercy ensure we are established in Jesus mighty name.
