Sermon

lightbulb Message Summary - Key Nuggets

  • God created man to represent His essence and government on the earth — passive existence is a failure to fulfill this purpose.
  • There are two dimensions of teaching: one builds faith to receive, the other builds you to minister to others.
  • Apostolic ministry carries a burden to build men — to make receivers into ministers.

Two Dimensions of the Word

When you receive and listen to a message, there are two dimensions to it. There is a dimension that builds your faith to receive what God is giving at the moment. And there is a dimension that is designed to build you up to begin to manifest.

One makes you a receiver. The other makes you a minister.

You can come for a meeting and receive teaching on healing and your faith is built to receive healing and be delivered from infirmities. Or you can come for a meeting and receive teaching on healing and your faith is developed for you to begin to minister healing. The second dimension is what apostolic ministry is burdened for — not just to bring grace upon you, but to empower you to communicate grace. Paul said: "I am a wise master builder." (1 Corinthians 3:10) The apostolic goal is always to build, raise, and send men.

God Created Man to Represent His Kingdom

When God created you, He created you to represent Him — to represent His essence and to represent His government. God is a King. He has a kingdom that He wants to extend on the face of the earth. You are the one He created to embody and manifest that kingdom on the face of the earth.

God has angels that run His errands in the spirit. But when He has to do with the natural, the principal instrument God has placed to advance His government is men. If you are walking on the face of the earth and are not actively participating in the enterprise of kingdom advancement, your existence may not count for much.

Three things are critical to God as far as the creation of men is concerned:

  1. God Wants to Be Known

One of the major enterprises of kingdom advancement is the preaching of the gospel of Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:23: "We preach Christ and Him crucified." Paul said to the Jews it is a stumbling block, to the Greeks it is foolishness — but to those who believe, it is the power of God and the wisdom of God. God wants to be known through the preaching of the gospel by the men He has raised.

  2. God Wants to Demonstrate His Power

God is not just a God of words — He is a God of power. 1 Corinthians 4:20: "The kingdom of God is not in word but in power." The signs and wonders that follow the preaching of the gospel are not entertainment. They are demonstrations of the reality of the kingdom — proof that God is not merely an idea but a living, active sovereign who confirms His word with His power.

  3. God Wants to Raise Witnesses

Acts 1:8: "You shall be witnesses unto Me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." A witness is not just someone who talks about God — a witness is someone whose life is the proof. When you have been made by the Spirit, your life becomes a testimony that God is who He says He is and does what He says He does.

The Making Process

Jesus did not call the disciples to give them things — He called them to make them. Matthew 4:19: "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." Before God can give you anything of eternal significance, He must first make you. Formation precedes function. The making is not optional — it is the foundation upon which everything God wants to do through you is built.

The making process involves:

  • Revelation — God opens the eyes of your understanding so that you see beyond the natural. The Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God (Ephesians 1:17) is not just for personal enrichment. It is the beginning of being made — seeing as God sees.
  • Character formation — God does not release kingdom power through unformed character. The fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23) is not separate from the gifts. Character is the container that holds what God deposits.
  • Experiential encounters with God — Isaiah was not made to be a prophet by studying prophecy. He encountered the Lord high and lifted up, the seraphim, the live coal on his lips. Making happens in the presence of God.
  • Submission to the process of time — God's making is not instant. David was anointed as a teenager but did not become king until his thirties. The years in between were not wasted — they were the making process. God uses time to prove, refine, and establish what He has deposited.

You Have Been Recruited

After Jesus was glorified and ascended to heaven, He came back to earth to pull Peter back from his fishing nets. He could have appointed someone else. But He said: "I have ordained you. Come back and do the work." Jesus can descend from His glorified throne to call a man into ministry — that is how important the recruitment of men is to God.

If God has called you, He will not let you go. He will pursue you through every deviation, every detour, every season of confusion — because you are not your own. You were made for the kingdom, and the kingdom will not advance without you.

The goal of this teaching is not just to inspire you — it is to empower you so that you too become a conveyor of what God has given, and a witness to your generation.

Inspiring Quote

Sermon

"One symptom of backsliding is that you begin to look down on the simple things that keep you on fire, calling a devotional 'just milk.' It's not about the information, it's about the consistency."
