The Blessing of Prophetic Foresight

In Revelation 1:3, John declared there is a blessing for reading the book of prophecy — just reading it. One of the blessings attached is that the man who sees the future owns it. The knowledge of the future puts you in leadership.

If you know which business will be creating the next set of billionaires in the next 10 years and you are the one who moves into it first — by the time others find out and rush in, you have already consolidated your position, established your industry, and moved on.

Seeing the future is owning the future. Seeing the future puts you in charge and makes you a leader.

This is what made Daniel a prime minister. This is what made Joseph a prime minister. Both came into foreign lands as teenagers — Joseph arrived in Egypt around age 17, Daniel arrived in Babylon at the same age. Both emerged as prime ministers, and neither was a citizen of those nations. The reason was the gifts of the Spirit.

Of all nine gifts of the Spirit, the most prized is not the one that does miracles, not the healing gift — the most prized gift of all is the one that reveals the future. The word of wisdom.

God Provides Strategies in Every Generation

In every generation, God shows his people what to do during times of hardship. It happened in the days of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, and Elijah — each generation faced its own economic challenge, but in every generation God showed them the strategy.

When there was famine in Isaac's time in Genesis 26, Isaac wanted to go down to Egypt as his father Abraham had done. But God said to him: Sojourn in this land and I will be with you and bless you. Unto you and your seed I will give all these countries and I will perform the covenant which I swore to Abraham your father.

Isaac stayed and sowed in the land. But how do you plant crops when there is no rain? Isaac dug underground water wells and used irrigation. When there was no rain, he was still producing. The same year he reaped a hundredfold — a thousand percent return — during famine. He became a national asset. From king to peasant, everyone came to one man for food.

Covenant is stronger than weather. Covenant is stronger than global warming. Covenant is stronger than changing times.

Underground Water — The Principle of Hidden Resources

God revealed to Isaac that there are two sources of water in the earth. He had been depending on one — rain from heaven. But there is water that comes from under the earth. What God locked was the windows of heaven; the rain was withheld. But when one door closes, another door is opened wide.

Necessity is the mother of invention. Times of hardship are times of major economic advancement.

Many companies closed down during hardship, but those dealing in food did not. Those in telecoms and technology thrived. People still needed to eat. People still needed water. These are the areas that will rule the future — certain sectors remain indispensable no matter what happens in the world.

There are currently 12 major areas that the whole world will always need regardless of what happens. The medical profession, technology and telecoms, food and agriculture — these are among them.

By 2030, the size of the food and agribusiness in Africa will reach one trillion dollars. If you are thinking about where to invest and make money, that is the sector.

The Word of Wisdom — Position Yourself

End-time prophecy is not given to frighten the church. It is given to arm and equip the church and give us a position of advantage. When the whole world is in darkness, the man who has light becomes the leader. When everyone is blind, the man who can see becomes the leader.

Leadership is coming to those who understand the times. You are going to be a light in this dark age. You are going to help many because you will not walk in blindness.

God has not appointed you for destruction. In Isaiah 60:2, gross darkness will cover the earth and evil will happen — but the scripture says the glory of the Lord will rise upon you.

The end-time prophecy reveals:

• Which businesses will create the next billionaires.
• Which sectors are about to collapse and where not to invest.
• Where the world has shifted and what the next steps are.
• Economic models that will thrive when the conventional ones fail.

The Parable of the Talents and Stewardship

In the parable of the talents in Matthew 25, the servant who buried his talent and produced nothing was called unprofitable and cast into outer darkness. That is how a believer can lose eternity through mismanagement of what God committed to them.

Every believer has a stewardship:

• Stewardship of your time — you are not living a wasted life; you are living an invested life.
• Stewardship of your talents, gifts, and skills — what did you do with what God gave you?
• Stewardship of your treasure — did you use your money to advance the kingdom, help the poor, sponsor the gospel?
• Stewardship of your body — your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit; did you manage your health well?
• Stewardship of the gospel — did you preach it and win souls? The gospel is the power of God unto salvation.
• Stewardship of your assignment — everyone has a purpose; what did you do with yours?

To him that has more will be given; from him that has not, even the little he has will be taken away. God increases the one who is producing results.
