Restore the Fallen in the Spirit of Meekness

Galatians 6:1-2

If a person is overtaken in a fault, the Bible says: you who are spiritual should restore that person — in a spirit of meekness. Not gossip. Not talking about them. Not surrounding them with judgment. Restore them.

The gift of the Holy Spirit is not the gift to discern other people's sins. It is the gift of love.

Some people think they have a prophetic gift to identify everybody else's weaknesses and go about broadcasting them. That is not prophecy. That is a log in your own eye trying to remove a speck in someone else's.

Bearing one another's burdens is how we fulfil the law of Christ — which is the law of love. If you have fallen before, you know what it feels like to need someone to stand with you, not to broadcast your failure. Restore people. Pray for them. Follow up. Sometimes the most godly thing is to stay quiet.

Feed What Is Feeding You

Galatians 6:6-7

Let him who is taught in the word communicate — give — to him who teaches. The Bible says God is not mocked: whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. Paul calls it sowing — giving to those who invest God's word into your life. This is not an extreme theological position. It is instruction.

If someone is creating the opportunity for you to grow in God's word, make it a point of duty to give back to them. God designed the flow of kingdom resources around sowing and reaping. What you sow into, you reap from.

Do Good to All — Especially the Household of Faith

Galatians 6:10

As we have opportunity, do good to all men — especially to those who are of the household of faith. Paul says: especially Christians.

The body of Christ should be creating circles of kingdom influence. When you are in a position to hire, to recommend, to open a door — consider your brothers and sisters in faith. Not mediocrity, but merit within the family of God. Daniel the moment he was promoted told the king about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He used his influence to bring his people in.

As you go up, bring kingdom people with you. Fill the seats around you with people of faith.
