God Sees You — and You Must See That He Sees You

There are two things that can and should happen in every prophetic meeting.

1. The first is that the prophetic gift of God highlights and separates you from the crowd — a specific word comes for you, and you know that God sees you.
2. You see God — you are beholding him and changing. This is where spiritual growth happens.

The Christian experience is a combination of both realities.

Any ministry that stands on only one leg is not complete. In every meeting there must be evidence that God sees you — that you are not alone — but also evidence that you see God, that you are growing.

When Nathanael came to Jesus, Jesus said, John 1:48 — Behold an Israelite in whom there is no guile. Nathanael asked, "How do you know me?" Jesus replied that he saw him under the fig tree. Because of that, Nathanael was amazed. But Jesus said: now you will see greater things — angels ascending and descending on the Son of Man. God does not just want you to feel seen. He wants you to see.

The Meaning of El Roi — I Have Seen the God Who Sees Me

When Hagar was stranded in the wilderness with her son dying of thirst, an angel appeared and pointed her to a fountain. That fountain had been there even before she was born. God knew from the foundation of the world that there would be a woman named Hagar, stranded in that place, and he had already made provision.

God does not see in the past tense. God sees in the present continuous.

When she cried, she did not trigger God into action. She discovered that God had been seeing all along. It was her revelation that shifted — not God's attention.

Many people emphasize that God sees. But the deeper confession is this: I have seen the God who sees me. That shift in perspective — from waiting to be noticed to realising you have been seen all along — is the breakthrough.

The Abrahamic Blessing and Total Dependence

There is a pattern to the Abrahamic blessing:

• God only shows up as provider when he is your only hope. The Abrahamic blessing does not manifest when there is another rock, another source of confidence, another human option being relied on.
• God told Abraham to leave his kindred — pushing him out of every comfort zone — and to go to a place he would be shown. There is a side of God you will only see when it seems like there is no way forward.
• The same pattern repeated at the altar. God told Abraham not to bring a lamb. Abraham had become accustomed to God showing up when he did not have enough resources. Genesis 22:8
• Abraham sent Hagar out with little provision not out of cruelty, but because he understood the pattern. If she had been given a million, it would have been spent. But if she came to the end of herself and faced God as her only hope, she would find what God had already prepared.

If men give you resources, it will finish. If God gives you resources, it settles your generation forever.

The prophetic word over Ishmael in the wilderness settled him and his descendants permanently. Lack does not threaten God. Five loaves and two fish are enough when they are placed in his hands.

Embracing Your Own Journey — Stop Comparing

There is something in human nature that makes us feel better about our situation when we discover others are doing worse — and impatient when we see others doing better. This spirit of comparison causes people to miss God repeatedly.

Consider David and Joseph:

• David was anointed as king at a young age. He killed Goliath. He wrote songs. His life appeared colorful and advancing.
• Joseph went from being thrown into a pit, to slavery, to a false accusation, to prison. His life appeared to be getting progressively worse.
• They had the same destiny. Both would end up in the palace. Different processes — same destination.

2 Corinthians 10:12 — They that compare themselves with themselves are not wise.

Israel made this mistake. God said he would be their king, but they saw the tall, impressive kings of surrounding nations and demanded a king like that. God gave them what they wanted — Saul, who was taller than everyone else. Saul was chosen because of comparison, not covenant. That is how destinies are forfeited.

Do not run another person's race. Embrace your own context. Your journey is unique.

God Preserves What Is Yours

When Samuel came to Jesse's house to anoint the next king, David was not even present. He was in the fields. Yet the anointing refused to rest on Eliab, Abinadab, or Shammah — one by one they were passed over. Samuel said he would not sit down until David was sent for.

In the will of God, even in your absence, what is yours will not go to another person.

Others may scheme. Others may present themselves. Others may show their credentials. But what God has consecrated for you cannot be seized by covetousness. The anointing simply will not stay on the wrong person.

This is also the lesson of Abraham and Lot. When conflict arose, Abraham said to Lot: choose whichever portion you want. Abraham could afford that posture because he understood something critical:

• Everything Abraham possessed, he received by covenant — God had first shown it to him in the place of prayer, and he had built an altar over it.
• What is protected by the altar cannot be taken by scheming. You cannot by covetousness take what someone received by consecration.
• Lot chose Sodom and Gomorrah — the land that looked lush and full of promise. It was destroyed. Everything he tried to inherit in the flesh was lost. Genesis 13:10–11
• Abraham stood and looked at the same destruction and nothing happened to him. Lot could not even look back — because it was never his. Genesis 19:17

God sees you and preserves your lot. What he has spoken over your life will come to pass. The people scheming against you will wait in vain. Nobody will take what God has set aside for you.

They That Wait Upon the Lord

Isaiah 40:31 — But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Others may go first. Others may appear to be ahead. But those who wait on the Lord do not simply catch up — they mount up. Flight does not mean faster ground travel; it is a different dimension entirely.

Peter fished all night and caught nothing. When he finally came to Jesus and allowed him to use the boat, the instruction that followed produced more fish than the nets could hold. Every other thing chosen over waiting in God's presence will ultimately prove to be a waste of time.

The fact that others went first does not make them first.

Prayer and Impartation

Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you. Thou, oh Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. I know that you've called me here to show me what is possible — that you can promote, you can lift. I declare that my destiny is about to take flight. Thank you for lifting. Thank you for lifting.

God sees you. He has orchestrated your every path. Even the tears will not be wasted — they are part of the formation of your ministry and the amplification of your voice.

In the name of Jesus, your needs are met. To him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all you can ask or think — receive your evidence tonight.

Everyone trusting God for the fruit of the womb — carry your babies.

Your path is as the shining light that shines brighter and brighter. The hand of the Lord is coming upon you now. This is your season of promotion. God is bringing you from the back of the desert and setting your feet upon a rock to stay.
