The Behind the Scenes — Unseen Orchestration

Let me tell you how the First World War started. It started because a very important person was assassinated. The assassins had tried severally. One of them threw a grenade at the carriage, but it deflected away and exploded. He kept going. Now it so happened that by some strange force that nobody can explain till date, the driver was supposed to go on one road and missed a turn — and where he stopped was few meters from where one of the assassins was standing. They just had to pull a gun short range. One of the most important events in the history of the world happened because a driver took a wrong turn.

I'll give you a biblical example. It was prophesied in Micah 5:2 that the Messiah will be born in Bethlehem. But Joseph and Mary were in Nazareth. All of a sudden, close to the time when the Messiah was to be born, a pagan king — Augustus Caesar — just said, "Let's have a census. Everybody come to Bethlehem." He did not know what was animating him to make that decision. Not everybody who stands up and puts a law in force in a nation is acting of their own accord.

The reason there was no room in the inn was not because Joseph was broke — it was because this strange sudden decision by this Roman ruler meant all the hotels were jam-packed. What will make a woman who is already carrying a baby go on the road and take such a journey?

Saul went to battle with Jonathan and both died the same day. When you're looking at it from a natural standpoint, well, bad things happen — casualty of war. But the reality is this: hours before, Saul had gone to consult the witch of Endor and Samuel was evoked. Samuel said, "You and Jonathan will be here with me tomorrow." So it turns out that what looked like a natural accident was a supernatural orchestration.

Even pagan kings: Cyrus will wake up and say, "Israelites, you are in captivity — go back and rebuild your territory." Why will a pagan king do that? If you ask him, he doesn't even know. The unseen realm — it happens both in the positive and in the negative depending what spirit is at play, because the natural realm is actually the playing field for spirit influences. And if you don't understand this, a lot of things will be missed in your life.

Two Kingdoms, Two Seeds

Paul makes a very serious statement in Ephesians 6:12 — for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this age, spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. These were the arms of government in those days: principalities, powers, rulers. There is a very detailed structured government in the natural — and there is also a structured government in the supernatural. The same way we have courtrooms to determine the destinies of people and the trajectory of nations, such courtrooms exist in the realm of the spirit.

Heaven has a council where decisions are made. Who will deceive Ahab? A lying spirit came forth — "I would be a lying spirit in his mouth." So when a king stands to speak, he may not know he is being animated. Some of these things will only be known in heaven.

If you don't know this, you won't be able to influence your own destiny. The Bible says the flesh wars against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh, so that you cannot do what you would. You exaggerate the control that you have, but there are forces behind the scenes using the platform of your own spirit and flesh as their platform of operation — whichever one you yield to.

The earth was designed to be a colony. A lot of people don't know that. When in Genesis 1:26, God said, "Let us make man in our image and let him have dominion" — that is how a colony works. I want to rule this place but I don't want to have to be there. So I'm going to make somebody who can rule by proxy. Man became a governor. That heaven will rule the earth through man. Man will act as heaven's authorized representative and Eden will be the embassy.

Then man fell. The authority entrusted to man was surrendered. Another kingdom began exporting its culture into humanity. Since then — as the pro-evangelion declared — the seed of the woman will bruise the head of the serpent. So now there are two seeds on the earth, two kingdoms simultaneously and side by side. You must be aware of this because even if it is not apparent to your naked eyes, the influence is among us.

Jonathan didn't have to die. He was just in the wrong chariot. He joined the chariot of somebody who had the prophecy of death. He was a nice man, a good man, friend of David — wrong chariot. So you need to be sensitive to the spirits so that you won't be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Don't join a chariot that has a hanging prophecy.

Proverbs 4:23 — guard your heart with all diligence. Out of it are the issues of life. It is one thing to by nature belong to a kingdom. It is another thing to by influence belong to it. You have been translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. Kingdoms are marked by influence. When I hear someone's accent I can tell where they come from.

Even when you are the three Hebrew boys in a Babylonian kingdom, understand how far is too far. You can take their names — you can be called Belshazzar or whatever. But how far is too far? What wisdom is driving your modus operandi? Where did you learn this thing?

Guard Your Heart — Do the Work of a Customs Agent

The Bible says guard your heart with all diligence. I know you are born again — don't let the influence enter. Do the work of a customs agent. What culture is going to come into your life? This is not just a matter of spirituality — it is a matter of confidence and esteem. Not many people have enough esteem to end relationships that ought to end — it is an esteem problem. When you have the tendency to be a people pleaser, it takes a lot of nerve to say, "What we have seems sweet, but this won't happen again."

So even if it is just you and your family, like Noah — no matter how common some things get, count me out of it. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. There will be hardline principles in that house. In this house we pray. There is a head in this house and children will obey the parents.

Speak words over your children. Prophesy over them. Think about it — when John the Baptist was to be born, the angel of the Lord appeared to his dad and said he will be filled with the spirit from his mother's womb. The angel said, "You shall call his name John. He shall be great in the sight of God. He shall drink neither wine nor strong drink." Now is this good advice or prophecy? Prophecy. I am saying that prophecy can superimpose on people's decisions.

It is one thing to advise a child, "Remember the son of whom you are, the daughter of whom you are." It is another thing — and both are important — to lay hands on the child and declare over them.

Every plan of the enemy to corrupt you will always fail. Always always fail. The enemy will always be late regarding your life. Always be late.

Before I was born, my mom had decided this one will preach. When sinners would entice me, something followed me. In secondary school, folks are gathering in corners saying some stuff. I wanted to join them and they said, "Hey — no — you can't join us." I said, "What do you mean? Why can't I join you?" They said, "Let's not spoil you." I pissed myself off wanting to be spoiled, and they just never let me. That's how we operate where we come from.

Three Ways to Align with the Kingdom of Light

1. Be born again. Colossians 1:13 — he has translated us from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. Remember what Jesus said to Nicodemus in John 3 — except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. There is another kingdom. It's invisible. Meanwhile there are people operating in it. You have been translated. You still look the same. Your complexion is still the same. Your height hasn't changed. But your software has changed — you are translated. And there are real potentials you never step into until you are born again. Just like a baby in the womb has eyes that he doesn't use and a mouth that doesn't ingest food until the baby is born.
2. Guard your heart. Even after you are born again, the system that the enemy put in place can still be there if there is no discipleship. You can be born again, speaking in tongues, but if you have not divorced yourself from the systems and patterns of the old kingdom, you will find the same thing that happened in your grandparents' marriage happening in yours. There is something the Bible calls the wisdom of the just.
3. Prophesy over your household. Speak words over your children. Lay hands. Declare. Enter into covenant on their behalf. Hannah promised God that Samuel will serve him — she didn't wait for someone to grow up and ask, "Are you feeling like it?" She entered into covenant on his behalf. That's what dedication is.

No civilization has been built with intelligence alone. The Pharaoh of Egypt had magicians. Babylon had people in the cabinet who beyond political wisdom had spiritual insights — that's how come he went to recruit Daniel. There is no powerful ruler in the world that is free of spiritual influence, whether positive or negative.

There is a God in heaven who reigns in the affairs of men. He can open doors that no man can shut and shut doors that no man can open. How do you explain that somebody stood in front of you, called you blessed, and your life changed? How do you explain that the pharaoh of Egypt dreamt and the economic prediction for the next 14 years he saw it in a dream — and someone is playing church?

The unseen kingdom is real. Align with the kingdom of light. Guard what enters your heart. Prophesy over your household. You are not a victim of forces — you are an authorized agent of heaven.
