Overview: To Everything There Is a Season
The anchor scripture is Ecclesiastes 3:1 — "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."
Note what the scripture does not say. It does not say "to every season there are things." The subject is "everything" and the predicate is "season." If you read it the other way around — "to every season there are things" — the subject now becomes season, and the predicate becomes things. That changes the meaning entirely.
What the Bible says is that things determine a change of season — not that a new season automatically makes things happen. There are new spiritual habits to develop. There are things to begin to do. You could tell by those things that a season is about to change.
The million-dollar approach right now should not necessarily be "Lord, give me a new season." It should be "Lord, help me to do things. Help me to pay attention to things that make new seasons happen."
If you are praying for a new season but not paying attention to things, you will arrive at the new season and not realize it is a new season. Like someone trying to get on an escalator who could not — the escalator was moving but they were not stepping in sync with it. Some of you are waiting. The thing is coming. But all that time you are not stepping into it.
Things have capacity to make seasons happen.
There Are No Coincidences in the Spirit
His season was about to change — Joseph's. But the first thing that had to try him was the word. Psalm 105:17-19 says he was sent before them, sold as a servant, laid in iron, his feet hurt with fetters — until the time that his word came, the word of the Lord tried him.

So when your season is about to change, the first thing that begins to happen is that the word will begin to try you. Do you still believe what you believe? The word will test you.
So even if your season changes, the credit does not go to the season itself. You will remember: it was the word.
Your life has been a sum total of all your amens, all your prayers, all the scriptures that jumped out at you, all the times you read the word and moved out in obedience. The Lord is accumulating things. And as these things begin to gather, seasons must happen.
Anything that is about to provoke a season that the Lord did not ordain — plead the blood of Jesus. Any arrow from the pit of hell, let it be broken. Any monitoring spirit, let fire consume it.
No New Season Without a Sound
No new season ever happens without a sound. Elijah said, "I hear the sound of the abundance of rain" — before the rain came. 1 Kings 18:41. Seasons you have been praying about are preceded by a sound.
But here is the subtlety: 1 Corinthians 14:8 says if the trumpet call cannot be distinguished, who will prepare himself for battle? Confused sounds produce no season.
When your season is coming, the devil distracts you with many sounds. All the sounds seem good. But it is not every sound that is your sound. What matters is not what your body likes — it is what the Holy Spirit bears witness with your spirit.

When your sound comes, you cannot ignore it. For some reason, that scripture cannot leave you. What pastor said on Sunday cannot fly over you. There is just something that has stuck to your spirit. That is your sound.
Your life is not an accident. At a day in your life, you stumbled into this ministry, this church, this encounter. God was leading you to a place where you can hear the sound. So you must be careful that this season does not come with conflicting sound.
You can never get your real sound in anxiety. The rhema you get is a sum total of the logos you have taken in. You cannot expect rhema when there is no logos. You are not studying the word, but yet you want your sound — it will not happen. The Bible says in the multitude of the day's business comes a dream. If your heart is troubled and you slept and had a dream, that dream you had was likely from the anxiety, not from God.
Seasons Are Connected to Light
The first time the word "season" appears in the Bible is in Genesis 1:14 — "And God said, let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons."
The first time seasons were mentioned in scripture, it was in connection with light. You have no business with a changing season if there is no light.
Revelation is light. Fellowship is light. The atmosphere of the Spirit is light. 1 John 1:7 says, "But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin."
It is not enough to be in the light. You must journey in the light. The Bible says be not conformed to this world, but be transformed — by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2). The word "trans" in that scripture is related to the word "transport." Renew your mind and you will be transported from where you are to where you are destined.
Someone can only become who they are destined to be when they begin to renew their mind. The more you renew your mind, the more you take the transport that moves you from where you were to where you are going. Do not look for me where I was — my mind has been renewed.

My Father, my season is changing. I decree and declare that my mind has been renewed. As I hear the word, as I fellowship, I decree that my mind has been renewed right now.
God Sends Men When Seasons Are About to Change
When God wanted to change Elijah's season, he sent him — first to Cherith, then to Zarephath. When the time came, he said: "Go and show yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain upon the earth" (1 Kings 18:1).
When a season is about to change, there is a call in the spirit. And that call is summarized in one simple word: show.
Some of you have heard that your seasons are changing, but you are not showing up in the place of prayer. You are not showing up in the place of declaration. You know the seasons are changing, but you are not showing.
God is saying to someone today: do not fold your arms. This is not the time to be quiet. You are praying like you are not expecting anything. Show up in fellowship. Show up in prayer. Show up.
Whenever it rains, there is a set of people praying that the rain would go — they do not understand it is for them. There is another set praying "let it rain" and getting angry it is not coming. But when God decides to change your season, it affects everyone around you. Your season change is not for you alone.
There are too many people connected to your destiny for heaven to allow you to fail. You are the light of your home. You are the pattern breaker. You are the one that will ensure a new season is breathed into your generation.
God Sends Men with the Word, the Map, and the Evidence
When God wants to change a man's season, one of the formidable things he does is send you a man that looks like your answered prayer. There are men with the word. There are men with the map. There are men with the evidence.
If you find these three things in one person, you are made. But it is not always so. The man with the word may not be the man with the map. The man with the map may not have the evidence. And every time the devil wants to keep a man stuck in seasons that do not look like him, he also sends men.
If they speak eloquently and fluently the language of your future, chances are that God sent them. Your future is not a destination — it is a gift. God said in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans and thoughts that I think for you, plans for peace and well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future." Your future has already been given to you as a gift. Do not second-guess whether your future will be good or bad — it has already been given.
Audit your circle. Ask God to help you be sensitive to what is going on. Who should be promoted, who should be left behind? Seasons are changing — and this is not an announcement, it is a mandate.
Your Season Change Is Warfare
Every season that has ever changed, there was warfare. Herod heard that Jesus was born and immediately said he must die. Every great man of God has faced opposition precisely because their season was about to change.
David stayed home when the kings went to battle — because he did not realize that season changes are battle time. His lapse of vigilance opened the door for his greatest fall.
You are just a quarter away from your new season. From January until now, everything was fine — and then from nowhere, the devil comes with a contrary wind. He is rocking the boat because you are in the middle of your crossing.
Your new season is a battle. Stop slipping away your destiny. This is the time to draw the boundary line. You cannot lose fire. You cannot be distracted. You cannot lose passion. Rise up and show.
