Living in Spiritual Cities

Many people brag about physical geography but carry no spiritual geography. When geography became spiritual reality, many men today remain under the influence of territorial spirits. Those territorial spirits is why some people cannot rise despite their intelligence or effort — unless certain powers are broken.

There are spirit cities overlapping every physical city. Spirits called Sodom, Babylon, Tyre, Egypt, and Nineveh each carry distinct assignments:

• Sodom — a spirit of perversion
• Babylon — a spirit of immorality that makes great mixture
• Tyre — a spirit of commerce that insists on compromise
• Egypt — a spirit of oppression
• Nineveh — a spirit of wickedness

Every time you step out of your house, you are not just interacting with physical geography. You are interacting with spirit cities, spirit civilizations. It is not enough to say you are in a territory and God has blessed you — you must understand who you are in God so that the powers of those spirits do not regulate your soul.

If all you have is a birth certificate and an academic qualification, you are not ready to survive in this civilization. The only way to rise above it is to live like God. That is why he created you like him.

You Are of God

In John 10:34-35, Jesus said it is written: ye are gods and you are the children of the most high. He used our sonship to justify his own. Jesus is saying it is not wrong for me to say I am the Son of God because it is not wrong for you to say you are the son of God. Every one of us must function on earth like immortals.

In 2 Peter 1:3-4, Peter says according to his divine power he has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness, and by these precious promises he has made us partakers of his divine nature. When God called us his children, it was not just a decree — there is a reality that took place. He made you and me to become partakers of his divine nature.

In 1 John 5:4, John says you are of God. Not from God — of God. The substance of that thing. Your substance is divinity. He says you are of God, little children; because of that he says you have overcome them. Carrying the life of God, you are in the God class.

In Ephesians 2:10, Paul says we were created in Christ Jesus. The raw material for fashioning you is Jesus Christ. But we do not know this, so we are living like animals oppressed by devils — and the Bible calls it an abomination. Princes are trekking while beggars are riding on horses. Devils that should be commanded are manipulating our destiny because we do not know who we are.

Seven Infrastructures for the God-Man

There are seven forces God has instituted to make you live the glorified life. Jesus died hoping that you will live a glorified life. In Romans 8:30, him that he foreknew he predestinated; him that he predestinated he called; him that he called he justified; him that is justified he glorified.

The First Infrastructure: The Cross

In Galatians 2:20, Paul said, I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live. The life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God. When you enter the economy of the cross, the cross kills the old man — the man who was oppressed by sin, by devils, by sickness.

In Colossians 2:14, when Jesus hung on the cross he nailed every handwriting of ordinance that was against you and crucified it with himself. Having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them. The cross had the authority to publicly disgrace Satan. The power of Satan was rebellion — when Jesus hung on the cross he yielded to the Father, and so the power of Satan was broken.

In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus said come to me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, I will give you rest. Then he went further: take my yoke upon you. He said then you will find rest for your soul. Rest is not relaxation — rest is dominion. When a man submits himself to the verdict of the cross, dominion becomes natural.

The cross is called self-denial. The verdict of the cross is to crush the flesh. Paul says I die daily. That crucifixion did not end at Golgotha — it is a daily work. Once in a while when we drop our cross and go back to sin, the flesh we have pampered becomes an obscurity and the power that should make you operate like God can no longer flow through you. The cross hammers the flesh until the flesh no longer has a voice in your life. There is a dimension of God you cannot host until the voice of flesh is silenced.

The Second Infrastructure: The Light of the Word

If you do not encounter the light of the word of God, you can never become like God. In 2 Corinthians 3:18, the scripture says we all with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord are metamorphosed. Christianity is not a changed life — God is not trying to improve you to be a better person. God is transfiguring you to literally become another man.

Some scriptures read for ten years suddenly come alive under the anointing of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost stops at one word and begins to reveal its depth. When light came on John 3:16's word so — the revelation that God loved so much he could leave his throne, be naked and disgraced, go to hell, all because of you — that light gave audacity to minister healing and believe for the impossible.

When God wants to make you operate like a God-man, he gives you light. Light can change your finances, your health, your influence. Light can change everything about your life. God told the preacher four things about his identity from scripture: you are like the wind — nobody can lock wind out; you are a flame of fire; you are a rock — nothing can affect you; and you have the life of God.

The Third Infrastructure: His Life

The same life that powered Jesus is the life you have now. You know why cancer survives in some believers? Because they do not know they have that life. The day you acknowledge it, it will become effectual. In 1 John 5:11, God has given us eternal life and this life is in his Son.

God designed three dimensions of life for man: the bios or animal life in the blood; the soulish life from the breath of God in Genesis 2:7; and the zoe — the life of God. God planted the tree of life in the garden so that man could partake of divine life. When man sinned, God said he would not let man take that life in sin. But when man was saved, Jesus brought it back. So if cancer cannot kill Jesus, cancer cannot kill you. The life that supported Christ is the same life supporting you.

Life represents three things:

• Awakening — it awakens you into a realm and its order
• Connectivity — varieties move only where there is life; life is transmission
• Possibilities — a system that contains all things available in God

When God brought you into spiritual life he awoke you into the God realm. Things in the realm of God you can now access. Favor will come on you, wisdom will come on you, power will come on you — they are all locked there.

The Fourth Infrastructure: The Faith of Jesus

In Romans 12:3, God dealt to every one of us the measure of faith. In Romans 10:17, faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. Paul said in Galatians 2:20, the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God. In 2 Corinthians 4:13, we all have the same spirit of faith.

Through Hebrews 11:3, the worlds were framed by the word of God. The things which are were not made out of things which do appear. The raw material of God is faith. God does not need physical raw material — he calls those things that be not as though they were. Faith is the currency that frames reality.

In John 14:12, Jesus said the works that I do you shall do also, and greater works than these shall you do because I go to the Father. You have backup that Jesus did not have on earth. So he expects you to do more.

The Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Infrastructures

The remaining three are the mind of Christ, the Spirit of God, and one more. In 1 Corinthians 2:16, for we have the mind of Christ — but you have not activated it. In 1 Corinthians 6:17, he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit. The Spirit of God is inside you now. You are the temple of the Holy Ghost. How can God live in you and you not live like God?

After this message, you will cast out devils. You will heal the sick. You will raise the dead. You will conquer the mountains of influence, media, economy, commerce, governance, and academia in the name of Jesus.
