Dreams as Spiritual Monitors

The Bible makes us understand that dreams are very important. There are over 120 mentions of dreams in the Bible. Job 33 speaks about the mystery of dreams and how they affect a person's life — that men dream so God may withdraw a man from his purpose and hide pride from man, keeping back his soul from the pit and his life from perishing by the sword.

God in his infinite mercy has designed for man to have dreams when he sleeps. Your dream is your spiritual monitor. It tells you what is going on in the spiritual realm. Understanding it will help you deal with the physical and spiritual battles you face. All dreams contain a message, and we must be careful what we do with our dreams.

Eating in Dreams

When someone begins to eat constantly in the dream, this is a manipulation of dark powers to make them partake of the table of the devil unconsciously. There is a table of the Lord and there is a table of the devil — we must be careful which table we are eating from.

This kind of evil meal is designed to:

• Cause weaknesses and sicknesses in the body
• Introduce strange elements into the body
• Prevent the person from performing normal spiritual exercises — reading the word, evangelism, memorizing scripture

If you have been having this kind of dream, immediately upon waking ask the Holy Spirit to purge you. Resist the enemy and attack them with your spiritual weapons. Pray that the blood of Jesus will purge out everything eaten and remove it from your entire system.

Lord, I destroy the counsel of the devil against my life in the name of Jesus. I scatter any evil party where I have found myself. Holy Spirit, shift those things away from my life in Jesus name. Amen.

Climbing Mountains with Difficulty

Dreaming of climbing mountains with great difficulty translates to very difficult situations. This shows hindrances to attaining success — it shows you are toiling to succeed and need to work hard. You need to command the mountains to move out of your way. Command the mountain to move into the sea and pray as the Holy Spirit leads. Do not take this kind of prayer lightly.

Sitting on a Mountain, Looking Down with Fear

Dreaming of sitting on a mountain and looking down with fear on a great height — this is the devil attempting to pull you down from your high position, whether material, financial, physical, or spiritual.

Ask the Holy Spirit to carry you to your desired place. Reject every call of demotion. Like Elijah, when they said, "Man of God, come down," refuse to come down. Send the thunder fire of God upon those enemies asking you to come down from where God has placed you.

I refuse to come down from where God has placed me. Instead of me coming down, let fire come down in the name of Jesus.

Being Pursued in Dreams

Dreaming of people pursuing you — you run, they run after you; you fly, they fly after you; you crawl, they crawl after you — these are what can be called stubborn pursuers. What to do is stop them before they stop you.

Ask the Holy Spirit to overshadow you. Ask the angels of God to support you. Ask them to remove all the obstacles in your way and pursue your pursuers.

Traffic Jams and Hindrances

Dreaming of being held up in a traffic jam or go-slow represents hindrances preventing you from getting to where you need to be at the right time, so that your goodness might elude you.

Holy Spirit, clear the way. Remove every hindrance. Anchor my life to the spirit of divine acceleration in Jesus name.

Being Enslaved — Washing, Digging, Grinding

Dreaming of being preoccupied with washing, digging, or grinding — of being used as a slave — is a very serious matter. The aim of the devil is to make you a slave and prevent you from fulfilling your destiny.

• Pray against all powers riding on the horses of your destiny
• Command every power that wants to make you a slave to be disgraced
• Ask the Holy Spirit to empower you to fulfill your destiny

Nursing a Strange Baby

Dreaming of nursing a baby that looks like an animal or an old person represents hindrance and destruction in the form of trouble and affliction. Bind the demonic baby. Rebuke every spirit that wants to delay your miracle. Throw out the baby prophetically and ask the Holy Spirit to empower you and give you a way out.

Nakedness in Dreams

Dreaming of being naked and roaming around is the spirit of shame. Rebuke this spirit. Decree that any power that has removed your garment shall be disgraced, and recover your garment back.

Responding Correctly to Every Dream

Whenever you have a dream, it is easy to know whether it is good or bad: if it is good, the end will be good. If it is bad, the end will be bad. Once it is bad, cancel it. If it is good, possess it. If you see a spirit hindering you, rebuke the spirit. Break the yokes.
