The mandate to raise others

2 Timothy 2:2 The things you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit to faithful men who shall be able to teach others.

When we receive by grace it is not just for personal edification. There is a mandate to raise, train, build, mentor and release others.

Nothing is done in the kingdom outside the engracing of the Spirit

Acts 10:38 God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and with power, and he went about doing good.

Take those three words: God, anointed, Jesus. You would think the Word incarnate could function without the anointing, yet God anointed Jesus.

The word in its dimensions

Words are powerful, which is why Jesus is called the Word of God. The words I speak are spirit and life.

There is the written word, the logos, the rhema, and the living Word who is Jesus. Each produces various levels of profit.

Sustaining the fire

You have been called prophetically, lampstands.

Matthew 5:13-16 You are the salt of the earth, the light of the world. Men do not light a candle and put it under a bushel. A candle can have potential and never be lit, and a lit candle can still go off.

Light that came from the word gives light to all, all people, all nations, all tribes. Let your light so shine that men see your good works and glorify your father.

Six keys to sustain the fire

1. Value intimacy with God beyond religion and beyond fame

   The grace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God, the fellowship, koinonia, of the Holy Ghost 2 Corinthians 13:14.

   What powers advancement and empowerment is the health of your secret place.

   Abide in me and I in you. The branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine John 15:1-4.

   The ordinances of intimacy:

   • Strategic, systemic prayer, a robust and healthy prayer life.
   • A systemic word study life 2 Timothy 3:15, Acts 20:32, Colossians 3:16, John 1:3. God's strategy has always been his word.
   • Worship, time invested in ministering unto God Psalm 100:2, Psalm 103:1. Worship him for who he is, not just what he gives.
   • Corporate gathering, not forsaking the assembling Hebrews 10:25. How good it is when brethren dwell together in unity Psalm 133:1. He sends help out of his sanctuary Psalm 20:2.

2. Never stop your journey towards transformation

   The path of the just shines more and more unto the perfect day Proverbs 4:18. As long as there is room to shine more, your transformation should not end.

   Forgetting what is behind, I press toward the mark of the high calling Philippians 3:13-14.

   On the last day of the feast Jesus cried, if any man thirst let him come John 7:37. There is always more for whoever is hungry.

   Transformation is not exposure. You can be exposed, western, contemporary and still not transformed. Transformation is the word-compliancy of your belief system.

   You can have the life of Christ, but if you do not have the mind of Christ it cannot power that life Philippians 2:5. It is the union of the life of Christ and the mind of Christ that produces a victorious Christian.

   Like a perfume trapped in a bottle, the mind of Christ is the nozzle that releases the fragrance. Like a phone whose apps are never downloaded, the life looks ordinary until you contend for transformation.

3. Never despise yourself nor the gifts God has given you

   If you hate yourself and then hate others for hating you, you are unfair, they cannot love what you already hate. Love your neighbour as yourself.

   Cast not away your confidence, which has great recompense of reward Hebrews 10:35.

   Neglect not the gift that is in thee 1 Timothy 4:14. You neglect it by ignoring, downplaying or trivializing it, like the widow who forgot the oil in her house until the prophet asked 2 Kings 4:2.

   The communication of your faith becomes effectual by acknowledging every good thing in you in Christ Philemon 1:6.

   Jesus said, I am the light of the world; before Abraham was, I am.

   If he calls me light, I am light. If he calls me the head, I am the head. He calls me blessed, I am blessed. He calls me lifted, I am lifted.

4. Never become an instrument for division in the body or the downfall of others

   1 Corinthians 12:13-27 We are baptized by one Spirit into one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, I don't need you. The parts that seem weaker are indispensable. If one part suffers, all suffer; if one is honoured, all rejoice.

   Do not be the generation that says I am for Paul, I am for Apollos. Look beyond church and denomination to the larger scope of what God is doing.

   If Koinonia were the only ministry on earth God's program would not fail, but it would not be complete. There are dimensions not committed to us.

   The zenith of transformation is not enlightenment but love.

   Honour the fathers of faith. Separate the person from what is right or wrong. Do not tear down other ministries to show superiority. The greater in the kingdom is one who serves.

   Learn from Saul, who offered the sacrifice reserved for Samuel and lost his throne 1 Samuel 13:13-14. The seeds we sow are the harvest we reap, sow honour and honour returns to you. Don't let your children see you practising dishonour, they will replicate it on you.

5. Let your faith become a vehicle for global impact and territorial transformation

   Let your spirituality go past fanaticism and religion. I am an unapologetic advocate of apostolic Christianity, the Christian experience that translates the wisdom of God into a blessing to society and nation.

   In thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed Genesis 12:3.

   Remember the Melchizedek pattern, the king-priest Hebrews 7:1-2. Priesthood is unto God, but kingship and dominion need a defined geography. King of the media, king of business. Don't call yourself a king until you show the geography of your witness.

   Kingdom Advance has three assignments: global missions, the unreached; maturity of the saints through discipleship, the church; and territorial transformation, the moral, economic and sociological fabric of society.

   Every society has three problems: spiritual, human and systemic. So you change the spiritual climate, then reform the men, and the reformed men influence the systems.

   A kingdom drives its value through three infrastructures: belief systems, men, and institutions.

   Poverty is a belief system. Laziness, diligence, integrity and excellence in governance are belief systems. Signs follow believing, failure and prosperity both follow a certain kind of believing. Nations like Singapore rose from third world to first world within a lifetime.

   The greatest miracle is not the healing of your body, it is transformation, an alteration of your belief system.

   Salt adds value and it is never too late to add it, at the pot or at the table. As light, your illumination has levels, phone light, lantern, generator, sun, and the greater light turns off the lesser. Among the stars, one differs from another in glory 1 Corinthians 15:41. Shine from Nigeria and be seen in Ghana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Australia.

The impartation

Isaiah 9:8 He sent a word to Jacob and it lighted upon Israel. God finds a man, brings him into levels of understanding and anointing, then leaves him with a mandate to carry that anointing like the Olympic fire to as many as will receive.

Neglect not the gift given by prophecy with the laying on of hands of the presbytery 1 Timothy 4:14. Impartation is the transference of graces from person to person, nation to nation.
