A God Who Is Supernatural by Nature

Everyone who is a child of God was created to walk in the supernatural. Although placed in the natural world, believers were created to operate in it supernaturally — because their God is a supernatural God.

Every dispensation of God's dealings with men has been characterized by the supernatural:

• Genesis 1:1 — God created the heavens and the earth from nothing. This very realm is sitting on the supernatural.
• The earth was void. He recreated it. What He did the first time was not luck — there is a power and a protocol that occasions the manifestation.
• When evil overtook the earth in Genesis 6, God dealt with the situation supernaturally — again.

The supernatural is not a function of luck. It is a reality that, when understood, can be modeled and replicated at any time.

God introduces Himself as a God of wonders (Exodus 15:11). That is how He wants to be known. And those who walked with Him recognized Him in that way.

The Contradiction of Living Naturally

There is a generation today in which there is a great debate as to whether the supernatural is still real. This is a contradiction at the deepest level:

• Your God introduces Himself as supernatural.

• He introduces you as a supernatural entity — a being made in His image.
• He expects that your walk with Him should produce supernatural realities.

It is a contradiction for a child of a supernatural God who claims to have a relationship with Him to be living naturally. That is not how God planned it.

2 Peter 1:3–4: "According as His divine power has given unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him that called us to glory and virtue. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature."

All things that pertain to life and godliness — including the supernatural — have already been given. The promise is already in your account. The question is whether you understand the protocol for drawing it out.

The Protocol for Receiving the Supernatural

1. Knowledge of God

   2 Peter 1:3 says all things are given through the knowledge of Him. The entry point to the supernatural is knowing God — not just knowing about God. The deeper your knowledge of who God is, what He has promised, and what He has already made available, the more consistently you will operate in the supernatural.

2. Faith in the Promises

   Hebrews 11:1: "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Receiving the supernatural requires faith that treats the unseen as already real. Mark 11:24: "Believe that you receive them, and you shall have them." The believing precedes the having — not the other way around.

3. Acting on the Word

   The supernatural is released through corresponding action. James 2:17: faith without works is dead. When you act on the promise — when your behavior aligns with your belief — you create the conditions for the supernatural to manifest. Every healing miracle in the Gospels involved a corresponding action: stretch out your hand, rise and walk, go wash in the pool of Siloam.

4. Boldness and Confession

   Hebrews 10:23: hold fast the profession of your faith without wavering. 2 Corinthians 4:13: we having the same spirit of faith, we believe and therefore we speak. Speaking the Word is not just positive thinking — it is participating in the creative process through which God's power moves from the unseen realm to the visible.

5. Guarding the Condition of Your Heart

   Mark 4:24: "Take heed what you hear. With what measure you use, it shall be measured to you." What you allow into your heart — the words, the images, the beliefs — determines the quality of the channel through which the supernatural flows. A heart littered with doubt, fear, and the world's narrative becomes a blocked conduit.

You Were Built for This

You were not created to be a spectator of the supernatural — as if miracles are things that happen to special people occasionally. You were created to be a habitation of the supernatural — a person through whom God's wonders flow as a consistent reality.

The supernatural is your native environment. The protocol is not the obstacle — it is the entrance. Learn it. Apply it. And walk in what God has always intended for you.
