The Legal Basis for Divine Health

Healing does not begin with a prayer formula — it begins with an understanding of what was accomplished at the cross. Before you can pray for healing with conviction, you must understand the legal grounds upon which healing stands.

Isaiah 53:4–5: "Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed."

This is not a promise waiting to be fulfilled — it is a legal transaction that was completed at Calvary. The stripes Jesus bore on His back were the legal payment for the healing of every disease that would ever attach itself to the human body. With His stripes, we were healed. Past tense. Done.

Christ's Blood Removes the Ground of Sickness

Ephesians 1:7: "In Him we have redemption through His blood." Satan will not be powerful in your life unless there is sin. When the blood washes you and removes sin, it means the power of Satan is lifted. When the blood works, people can no longer be enslaved by Satan.

Sickness does not enter purely because of germs or natural causes — sickness entered the human race through a covenant breach, through sin. When sin is dealt with by the blood of Jesus, the spiritual ground that gives sickness its authority is removed. This is why healing and forgiveness are so closely linked in scripture.

Psalm 103:2–3: "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits — who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases." Forgiveness and healing are in the same package, dispensed from the same hand, purchased by the same blood.

Man Was Created in the Realm of Glory — Not Sickness

Genesis 1:26: God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." Sickness is not in God. Death is not in God. Deterioration is not in God. If man was created in His image and likeness, then sickness was never part of the original design. The body of the man created in Eden was not designed to carry sickness.

When Adam sinned, he fell from this realm of glory — this realm of being exactly like God. Romans 3:23: "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." The fall brought in everything that was foreign to the original design: sickness, pain, death.

But Christ reversed the fall. He re-opened the door to the realm of glory. 2 Peter 1:4: "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature." Partaking of the divine nature is re-entering the design — living as God originally intended, in a body free from the legal authority of sickness and disease.

Receiving Your Healing

Healing is received the same way salvation is received — by faith, based on the finished work of Christ.

• Believe that the atonement is real and that it covers your body.
• Confess what the Word says, not what the symptoms say.
• Understand that your healing is not something God is deciding — it is something Christ already decided at the cross.
• Stand on the legal position: "By His stripes I was healed."

Tonight, as that blood will wash you, everything Satan is doing in your life will disappear. The redemption is complete. The price is paid. The legal ground has been reversed. Take your place.
