Increase Is God's Desire

Increase is not a product of ambition. Increase is a product of God's desire for His people. On the strength of that desire, He furnishes the empowerment that brings corresponding increase.

Genesis 1:28 — The moment God created man, the Bible says: "And God blessed him. And God said unto them, Be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, and have dominion." So it is God's desire for us to increase, and that is why the very first man He created received this empowerment.

Psalm 35:27 — "Let the Lord be magnified, which has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant." God prospers them because they favor His righteous cause. When we talk about increase, it has a superior purpose in God. It is not just an ambition to amass wealth or gather resources. It is an empowerment for the purpose of the kingdom.

Four Critical Reasons Why Increase Is Important

1. Increase Is How God Makes His Blessing Visible

   Genesis 1:28 — God blessed them. But how was the blessing revealed? "Be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue, and have dominion." When God is increasing you, He is giving visible expression to every aspect of the blessing He has placed on your life.

2. Increase Is a Platform for Establishing God's Kingdom

   The first earth was destroyed and God recreated the face of the earth, placing the man on the earth as its governor. But that man could not express governance except as he was increased by God. Increase precedes dominion. You cannot establish what you cannot sustain.

3. Increase Glorifies God

   John 15:8: "Herein is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit." Your fruitfulness is a testimony to God's power. When people ask how you accomplished what you did, your life becomes a proof that God is faithful.

4. Increase Preserves a Generation

   Your enlargement reaches beyond you. Joseph's increase as prime minister preserved an entire nation from famine. Genesis 45:7–8: "God sent me ahead of you to preserve a generation." Your increase becomes the reason someone else survives, thrives, and fulfills their calling.

Forces That Provoke Hundredfold Harvest

A hundredfold return is not automatic. There are specific spiritual forces that, when engaged, provoke the fullness of kingdom harvest.

• The Force of Revelation — You cannot harvest what you cannot see. Faith for increase begins with revelation. When God showed Abraham the land — north, south, east, west — He said: "As far as your eyes can see, I have given you." (Genesis 13:14–15) Your capacity to see determines the boundary of what you can possess.
• The Force of the Blessing — The spoken blessing of God carries creative power. Genesis 1:28 — God blessed them. This blessing was not just words; it was an empowerment that made fruitfulness inevitable. Walking in the blessing means living under the active, spoken empowerment of God.
• The Force of Covenant Obedience — When God establishes covenant with a man and that man walks in obedience, Deuteronomy 28:1–13 shows that every area of his life comes under divine increase: the field, the womb, the basket, the entering and the going out. Covenant obedience activates the terms of the blessing.
• The Force of Sacrificial Sowing — 2 Corinthians 9:6: "He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly, and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully." The hundredfold is tied to the quality of the seed sown and the posture of the sower. Sacrificial sowing breaks through the natural ceiling of return.
• The Force of Faith — Mark 11:24: "Whatsoever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them." Faith is not passive hoping. Faith is the active spiritual force that connects the seed to the harvest, the promise to its manifestation.
• The Force of the Holy Spirit — Zechariah 10:1: "Ask of Him rain in the time of the latter rain." The Holy Spirit is the divine agent who causes bright clouds and sends showers upon every grass in the field. No life is excluded from what God is releasing when the Spirit is moving.

The Pattern: Fruitfulness to Dominion

Genesis 1:28 establishes the divine sequence: Be fruitful → Multiply → Replenish → Subdue → Have dominion. This is not a list of disconnected commands. It is a progression. Fruitfulness produces multiplication. Multiplication produces sufficiency to replenish. Replenishment creates the capacity to subdue. And subduing leads to full dominion.

The hundredfold harvest is the overflow that carries a person from fruitfulness all the way to dominion. It is the kind of increase where human proportion cannot explain it — where people who knew you before are stunned by what God has done, because no natural logic accounts for the trajectory.

You cannot glorify God if you are not enlarged. The measure of God's glory that is seen through you is proportional to the degree of your enlargement.
