He Is Risen

Our focus is on the revelation, not the explanations. When you understand the resurrection of Christ, you begin to see the truths inherent within it. Luke 24:6, Romans 8:11, and Philippians 3:10 all anchor this truth.

Resurrection is restoration. Christ resurrected to restore back to man what the devil took. That is why when the women saw him after his resurrection, they saw a man who appeared like a gardener. That is not incidental. Where was man before he fell? In the garden. By the resurrection of Christ, God was restoring man back to the garden — restoring man back to where he left off.

Alliances Are Formed So Agendas Can Thrive

In Luke 23:12, the Bible records that Pilate and Herod were made friends on the very day of the crucifixion — though they had previously been enemies. They put aside their differences, their emotions, their reservations, and their histories to accomplish a shared agenda.

The mentality of living a solo life is why many remain stranded despite their talent. It is why gifting goes incapacitated. Anywhere something is thriving, alliances are being formed. You cannot achieve alone what God has designed for partnership. Herod knew he could not do it alone. Pilate knew he could not do it alone. To get things done, put emotion in the back seat.

People Who Will Inflict Themselves to Cause You Injury

In Luke 23:18-19, Barabbas — a murderer and instigator of sedition — was released over Jesus simply to push an agenda. There are people who do not care to inflict pain upon themselves just to cause you injury. They will sacrifice their own interests if it means you lose everything.

Ambience and space matter. When you stay around an atmosphere of insensitivity long enough, it deadens your conscience and silences your empathy. Guard your environment.

The Veil Is Torn

In Luke 22:51, even as Jesus was being arrested, he picked up the ear that had been cut off and restored it. The anointing was working through him even when it appeared he was not working for himself. The supernatural will not abort process. Pain is a mentor. Breaking is the beginning of becoming.

Job 23:10 says, "When he has tried me, I shall come forth as gold." If gold is your choice, then the furnace must be your passage. Many are asking God for greatness but resisting the pathway that leads there. When you go through trials, do not ask why — ask what lessons God wants you to learn.

In Matthew 27:51, the veil of the temple was rent from top to bottom. Not from bottom to top — that would be the hand of man. It was torn from top to bottom. A veil is a covering. Three things happen when you are veiled:

• You are not seen. Your real identity is hidden. Someone can be very gifted but not noticed because there is a covering over them.
• You face restriction. Your full potential cannot be explored. The real you cannot find expression.
• You are misidentified. What the hunter saw in the bush was not the man but a covering over him. The best footballers may be in villages, veiled — gifted beyond measure but unseen.

In the name of Jesus, every veil covering your gifting, covering your capacity, covering your motion, covering your advancement — today it is torn. Every evil covering restricting your advancement, I set you on fire. I set you on fire.

God Is Sitting on It

In Matthew 28:2, the angel of the Lord descended and rolled back the stone from the door — and then sat on it. He did not just roll away the problem; he sat on it. Because if he does not sit on it, it could roll back.

God has sat on it. God is sitting on your problem. God is sitting on that challenge. Anything that was fired at you, he has taken it out and is sitting on it. Whatever was stolen from you — he has rolled it away. He's sitting on it.

Nahum 1:9 says, "Affliction shall not rise a second time." It will not roll back to your children. Whatever the doctor told you, God says he is sitting on it.

Your Past Does Not Determine Your Future

In Mark 16:9, when Jesus rose, the first person he appeared to was Mary Magdalene — a woman out of whom he had cast seven demons. A woman of broken history. There are many in whom there has never been any demonic history — yet they did not see him. Your past is your history. Your present may be a mystery. But your future is your destiny.

The hand of God does not consult your past to determine your future. When the hand of God is upon your life, it does not consider where you are coming from to determine where you are going to.

Mary Magdalene pursued God with the same passion and aggression with which she had previously lived. In our walk with God, overtaking is allowed. She anointed Jesus's feet and wiped them with her hair. She came with the women to the tomb — still caring for him at death. And at resurrection, she was first.

Resurrection Is Responsibility

When Jesus rose, he gave an assignment. Matthew 28:7 — go quickly and tell. Matthew 28:19 — go into all the world and preach the gospel. Resurrection puts the onus on you to be responsible.

Responsibility is the prize of greatness. You do not become what you chase; you become what you attract. Stop pursuing greatness. Attract it by becoming great. One element of greatness is responsibility.

Pilate asked in Matthew 27:22, "What shall I do with Jesus called the Christ?" You are born again. Christ is now with you. What are you doing with Christ? Your love for God is premised on action. The resurrection of Christ gives you ability. Your response to it is what makes responsibility.

Every dead virtue in you, rise again. Every dead gift, rise again. Your value, rise again. Your opportunity, rise again. Your glory, rise again. Anything in the grave — whether your health, your finances, your career — rise again in Jesus name.
