Prayer 1 — The Spirit of Error

A woman was warned not to move into a house adjacent to a cemetery. She disobeyed. Shortly after settling in, she noticed a gas cooker turned on in her kitchen with pots of egusi soup boiling — yet no one was there. She switched it off and went to bed, only to smell it again. The gas was on once more. From that day, wherever she went, everyone around her perceived the smell of egusi. The smell followed her.

The root of her trouble was the spirit of error — an invisible force that leads people into wrong decisions and keeps them there.

Prayer 2 — Evil Foundation Dedication

As he shook hands with one of the Nigerian newcomers, a vision appeared — a masquerade was following him. After being warned, the man dismissed it, attributing the vision to the cold weather affecting the mind.

Two years later, that same man appeared at the door late one night. He had just failed his PhD oral examination — the viva.
