The foundation for the believer's Christian experience is his encounter with Jesus. When you encounter Jesus Christ, you are immediately introduced to the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the ministry of the Word—these are the principal tools responsible for your maturity.
Three Levels of Believer Development
Understanding Spiritual Maturity and Purpose
- Encountering Jesus
- Many believers have not encountered Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God
- They can tell you about favor, miracles, and breakthrough, but struggle to articulate their encounter with Jesus
Until the Holy Spirit is at work in you, the negative possibilities in your life cannot be defined- Anyone who has not submitted to the governing authority of the Kingdom is a helpless prey in the hand of Satan, no matter how sincere
- Spiritual Growth and Transformation
- There are those who are saved but have not been given opportunity to grow spiritually
- The word "carnal" means their impulses and everything they do is governed by their senses—they are sensual and emotional in their approach
- The cure for carnality is an immersion into a system that brings you under the authority of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God
- Longevity in church does not automatically bring transformation
- Your change is based on:
- Your hunger
- The quality of spiritual vessels that feed you
- There is no such thing as instant maturity—God subscribed the path of maturity to process so you can build a pattern to help others mature
- Connection to Purpose
- Believers are thoroughly trained and mentored but not connected to purpose
- There is danger when you keep pumping anointing and revelation into people and they don't know what to do with it
- Knowledge has an implication—the goal is that there must be opportunity to deploy
- It's a risk to enlighten people and leave them without purpose

Preaching on the platform is not the only thing to do with the anointing or revelation. The seven mountains are also platforms of ministry—the person in politics and the one becoming a national prophet are doing the same thing in the realm of the spirit.
Biblical Models of Diverse Callings
- Moses - Needed to learn the wisdom of Egypt
- Aaron - Did not need the wisdom of Egypt; his assignment was different
- Joseph - Called to the throne to preserve God's purposes
- Daniel - Called to governance
- Esther - Called to the palace through marriage
- Anna the prophetess - Her ministry remained at the temple
- Elijah - A radical prophet with no business learning finances
- Ruth and Naomi - Their assignment was through marriage and family
- Joseph of Arimathea - Used his influence as a man of means to secure the grave for Jesus
The Principle of Mentorship Alignment
If Mary was mentored by Anna the prophetess, she would have missed Jesus—because Anna would have kept her in the temple. Yet marriage was the area of Mary's call.
I have been having prophetic encounters in recent times, and I've been picking the burden of the Spirit. The Spirit of God is saying something is wrong. We are far enough, we are doing it religiously and even with pride, but we are far enough. If there is no restructuring of the Divine pattern, we will repeat past mistakes.
The assignment of mentorship is to open you up to the various dimensions of the Kingdom personified by individuals in Scripture, so by the guidance of the Spirit you will start finding the blueprint that reflects where you are going.
Why Past Revivals Failed
Learning from History: The Imbalance That Killed Past Moves
I have studied many revivals in Nigeria. What killed them was the emphasis of certain things:
- Those who emphasized the prophetic, consecration, and prayer but didn't place emphasis on doctrine
- Those who emphasized doctrine and teaching but de-emphasized the prophetic and prayer
- Both moves suffered from imbalance
If a man of God produces only preachers, we're in trouble—one policy from Parliament can stop the purposes of God.
Jesus' Model of Influence
Jesus did not do crusades alone:
- One moment talking to thousands of people
- Next moment alone with the woman at the well with the same passion
- Next moment investing time casting out one demon—because that one man set free was equal to ten cities
- The same passion for a crusade was taken to the house of an influential tax collector

I believe in influence. I believe in the whole counsel of God—men of fire, but people who are sheep among wolves having the intelligence of the kingdom and even the wisdom of Egypt.
Africa's Prophetic Mandate and Warning
The Coming Revival: Africa's Turn to Host the Fires
It is the turn of Africa to host the fires of revival. There are certain nations uniquely singled out by the election of grace—one of them, chiefest among them, is Nigeria.
The mantle has moved:
- Europe has had its chance of revival
- The US has had its chance—the word of faith movement
- As we prepare for Christ's return, this mantle for global missions is now in Africa
The Prophetic Warning
We must study the revivals that happened and why they died. While we rejoice thinking we are getting it, there are things we are missing—we are already beginning to follow the same pattern that aborted past revivals.
God's emphasis is not to produce preachers alone. His emphasis is to produce witnesses and ambassadors. Preachers alone will not get the job done—they never got the job done in the Bible alone.
The Complete Army of God
General Courses vs. Specialized Training for Kingdom Impact
There are courses everyone must do regardless of calling:
- Prayer
- Fasting
- The Word of God
- Doctrine
However, as far as the jurisdiction of your witness is concerned, you must find your parallel in Scripture. If at the end of three to five years of training in church you have not found your parallel in Scripture, you were not mentored properly.
The Holistic Formation
When we get to Hebrews 11, the Bible does not dichotomize them. Both the Daniels, the Elijahs, the Esthers were given one word: "elders." They all obtained a good report—the ones who preached, the ones who manned government for Jesus, the ones who preserved the economy.
Understanding Your Crown
Every believer has a jurisdiction of dominion—a crown:
- You are a king in the judiciary
- You are a king in business
- You are a king in the practice of priesthood

But when we stand before the King of Kings:
- We cast our crowns before Him
- Your real worship is not your falling down—your real worship is that your crown worships first
- If you stand before Him without a crown, there is nothing to cast
The highest royalty—all Kings bow to the King. Together we cast our crowns before the King of Kings.
The Formation of the Revival Army
The Diverse Army God is Raising for End-Time Revival
Who makes up the army:
- Businessmen and entrepreneurs
- Apostles and prophets
- Professors and educators
- Presidents and government heads
- Heads of corporations
- Billionaires in all kinds of currency
- Justices and judges
- Military personnel
- Intercessors and prayer warriors
- Parents raising godly children
- Worship leaders
- Medical professionals
- Kingdom-minded tailors, pilots, cooks, security personnel
All converge at one central point: before the King.
The Synergy Required
The holistic description of this diverse army is what God is looking for:
- We will need money
- We will need people of influence to defend our interests
- We will need military people to protect us
- We will need those who feed us, dress us
- We will need those who protect the policies that keep God's purposes
- We will need those on fire who walk in signs and wonders
- We will need people who teach, mentor, and guide
- We will need evangelists who preach like never before
Practical Application: Finding Your Place
Prayer Points
The Call to Honor Diversity
- Man of God, don't look down on business people
- Business people, don't look down on preachers
- Wealthy people, don't look down on intercessors pegged at the altar carrying the burden of nations
- When we clap for preachers, also clap for:
- The kingdom-minded justice
- The businessman becoming a billionaire to keep resources flowing
- The mother raising five godly daughters who serve in church welfare
- The father who raised responsible children now serving as department heads
The Final Declaration
For as long as this revival produces only preachers, we are in trouble. The revival must produce men of hunger and fire, but God is not looking for preachers alone—God is looking for witnesses.
Whether you are:
- Joseph or Elijah
- Daniel or Anna the prophetess
- Esther or Ruth
The Word of God, prayer, and the Spirit of God are general courses. No matter where you're going—whether to the palace or the altar—it will still be by the Spirit and by the Word.
The Vision Moving Forward
The same way young men and women are rising apostolically and prophetically in Nigeria, you will start seeing a parallel in the business line. You will see young men who arise—people summoned by economic powers to explain their access to the riches of the earth, and they will be as spiritual.
You will see people rise supposedly from nowhere and win elections with landslide victories, to the point where we will say it looks like we are rewriting politics—because the hand of God is behind what we are seeing.
This revival will not be aborted. We will not win because we are sufficient. We'll win because the Captain has risen and stands before us, and as we follow Him, even as we blow the trumpet in Zion and sound the alarm upon His holy mountain, we will see the move of the Spirit in [your continent] like never before.
