God works on depth while you look for fruit

One of the major dynamics of God's help is that you are looking for fruit where the Lord is working on the depth

There are seasons you say, God, if you have helped me, I want to see the fruit. But what God calls help is to build the depth you need that will produce more fruits

When God helps a man, he doesn't just drop fruits on you. He makes you the producer of the fruits

Sometimes you say, I need this fruit now in my career, my business, my academics. Heaven says, I want to work out a depth in you

Men are fixated on your fruit while God is fixated on your depth

God does not want you to carry and parade fruit you don't have a depth to sustain

The Lord came looking for fruit. The vine dresser asked for time to dig. Something needs to happen to the roots of this fig.

Let me handle the roots while you look for fruit on top

When God wants to help people, it's not just fruit he lets them bear. He tries to handle their roots

Sometimes God will handle the root of your communication, the root of your disposition. He handles roots that have been making your help not to come

It is easier to pray against your village people.

But a major root appalling your helpers might be what you speak, your aura, your disposition, your stubbornness, something about you that you do not even know is wrong

Before your fruit comes, God wants to fix your root

• My Father, fix my root.

There is a generation that is fruit fixated and calls it help. There is another generation that understands it is about the root and not the fruit

You may get that fruit and not get another one in 15 years because the root has not yet been fixed

Time: Kairos, not Chronos

When God wants to help a man, there is something called time

The vine dresser said, let it alone this year also, till I dig about it and dung it

Not Chronos, chronological timing. Kairos, the opportune time. God does not need the calendar to prove his help

God can allow Chronos to flow because he wants to build capacity in you. He wants you to have knowledge, to grow, to develop capacity

But the opportune time of God can happen even as you are looking at me right now. God decides, it is today I will help you, today I will open the door

Let it happen even right now.

The attack comes in the season of your help

It takes a fig tree 3 to 4 years to bear fruit. At the time of maturation, the owner came and said cut it down

Just about the time my help is about to manifest, there is a scheme from the pit of hell

Just when you are about to blossom into a new season, the devil fires an arrow of error, an arrow of mistake

He makes those who love you begin to dislike you. You do something out of rhythm, out of sync. Some people's lives begin to go down

• Any power of hell that will cause you to make a mistake, or cause something to go wrong in the season and timing of your help so that you lose your help, be broken right now.
• My Father, in the season of my help I will not go down.

The season the fig tree was supposed to bear fruit was the season the word came, cut it down

How can disappointment come in the season of your help? Why should there be diversion? Why lose interest? Why feel I can't continue anymore? Why become disinterested? This is how the devil works

The vine dresser said no, give it one more year. I perceive this tree is about to bear fruit

Nobody should cut it down because it still has a future. Nobody should cut it down because God still wants to do something with it.

Nobody should cut it down because help is still on the way.

If the devil can't get you, he wants your prayer life to go down, your faith, your hope, your zeal, your passion

• I will not go down.

When God gives you your own

The fig tree was planted in the vineyard. It had other trees surrounding it

The only reason some trees don't do well where they are planted is scarcity of mineral resources. Too many things are competing for the same supply

The vine dresser told the owner, give me one more year. I am going to concentrate on this fig and bring help that it will not share with others

Everybody is looking for what this fig is looking for. So there is little or nothing for him. Allow me one year. Let me bring dung that will be specific

There's a prayer I always make: may God give you your own

When God gives you what is specific to you, you will not queue behind others

When God helps a man, you don't know how to tell the stories of what others went through. If you have to tell that story, you have to lie

When the help of God comes, God domesticates your own experience for you

Abuja might be expensive. New York, Los Angeles, Johannesburg might be expensive. But when the Lord creates my journey for me, he says, I will bring the dung for him. Let me make it

• May the Lord curate your journey for you.
• What others run to, my Father, bring it to me.
• My help, my help, my help has come.

Pruning: what God cuts off

A vine dresser prunes, cultivates and does pest control

Cultivate comes from the word culture. The vine dresser introduces a certain kind of culture to the fig. This is how you will be operating

There are seasons the fig expands and says, look at how I'm spreading. The vine dresser comes with scissors and cuts it to size

The fig may cry, this one is painful. But the vine dresser says, I'm cutting you because of your fruit. For where I'm taking you, you are not permitted to spread like this

There are those who will cut you out of hatred. They don't know that what they thought they were cutting was actually your pruning

Some relationships were cut off. It pained me, but it was for my fruit

Some habits were cut off. It pained me, but it was for my fruit

When God wants to help a man, sometimes there are things he begins to cut off

You begin to lose appetite for the things that used to excite you. You are now the one opening the Bible. You lose interest in hanging out.

They call and the gist is going on, and you sleep off

I am wired to bear a fruit. If I meet my generation and gossip with them, at the end of the day I have no fruit to show for it

When God wants to help a man, most of the time it is what he cuts you off from

The plea was for the root

The plea of the vine dresser was not for fruit. It was for the root. Give me one more year, let me work on the root

When God wants to help a man, it is how he helps your root, not your fruit. Once your root is okay, you can have as many fruits as you want

Don't fall for the cheap trick of Christianity where the emphasis is on the fruit and not on the root

When God is working on my root, nobody sees it. It is with pain. It is with rebuke. It is with stern warning, direction, alignment

May you not be the child of God that will be pampered into fruitlessness, but the child of God that will be rebuked into rootedness.

• Lord, if I lose my root, I will miss my fruit.

All that God desires is to make your root, so that the world will see your fruit

One more chance

When the Lord of the vineyard said cut it down, the vine dresser was there to say, please, one more year

How many men have lost an opportunity because nobody was there to say, even though I don't really like this guy, can we give him one more chance? That is help

Even where the proposal did not really match, can we give this one a little opportunity?

Somebody will come with an excuse that will douse everything. A man is considering marrying a girl and a friend says the complexion is too bright, and another says darkness runs in your family

The worst thing that can happen is a season when somebody says cut it down, and another says cut it down, this is too much. You may not understand it but someday you will

• May God keep a voice for you in the critical seasons of your life, in the transition seasons of your life.

Receive help for your families. Wherever your sisters and brothers are, don't doubt this prayer.
