Your Mouth Is a Weapon of War

Luke 21:15 — "I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist." Every child of God has been given their mouth as a weapon that witches, wizards, and every occult power cannot successfully resist. Life and death are in the power of the tongue — and the believer has been given authority over that power.

Jeremiah 8:19-20 records Israel lamenting, "The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved" — a confession of defeat that kept them exactly where that confession placed them. Until you declare with your mouth that it is well, it stays exactly as unwell as you keep saying it is. In 2 Kings 4:25-26, when the Shunammite woman was asked, "Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child?" — her son was already dead on the bed — she answered simply, "It is well." That declaration, spoken before the resurrection even happened, set the pace for what followed. Don't be religious about it — be real, and let what comes out of your mouth match what you actually want to become your portion.

The Sling Is Your Mouth; the Stone Is the Word

1 Samuel 17:43 — Goliath mocked David for approaching with only "staves." What Goliath dismissed was, in fact, exactly what would bring him down. The sling is your mouth; the stone is the Word — and no one should let you despise either one. As you speak based on genuine revelation of truth, rather than merely repeating a phrase, that word becomes as effective a weapon against any obstacle as David's stone was against Goliath.

Psalm 81:10-13 — "Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it... but my people would not hearken to my voice." God's willingness to act was never the limiting factor — Israel's own refusal to speak and walk in what He'd already said was. Numbers 14:28 — "as I have spoken in your ears, so will I do unto you." The ten spies and the two — Joshua and Caleb — saw the exact same giants. They saw the same thing, but they said different things, and only one group secured a future for themselves through what they chose to declare.

Subject Your Feelings to the Truth

2 Corinthians 10:5 — "casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." How you feel is not irrelevant to God, but it is not superior to what has already been declared true. The truth outranks your feelings — subject your feelings to the truth, not the other way around. This is described as a season of "word therapy" — not a hands-on ministration alone, but a deliberate assimilation of truth strong enough to command real, lasting dominion over sickness and disease.

Open your mouth wide and declare it now. No more breakdown. No more weakness. No more feebleness. No more pain. No more dull hearing. Take it by force — the violent take it by force. Your dominion over sickness and disease is established in the name of Jesus.

Inspiring Quote

Sermon

"One symptom of backsliding is that you begin to look down on the simple things that keep you on fire, calling a devotional 'just milk.' It's not about the information, it's about the consistency."
