God's Word Still Works Wonders Today

In 1981, between the 1st and 2nd of May, in an 18-hour vision, God gave his servant a mandate: now the hour has come to liberate the world from all oppressions of the devil through the preaching of the word of faith. The principal raw material in his hand was the word of faith.

In Hebrews 11:3, through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God. Everyone who has the word has everything needed to bring about a turnaround in their life. The wonders we see today with our eyes came into existence by the engagement of the word.

Why We Need the Light of the Word

We live in a world of darkness. In Joel 2:1-2, the scripture speaks of a day of darkness and gloominess, clouds and thick darkness — a great and strong people of whom there has never been the like. There is darkness and gloominess — all kinds of sicknesses and diseases, some without taxonomical classification.

That is why we need the light of the word. Jesus referred to himself as the light in John 8:12: I am the light of the world; he that follows me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life. In Matthew 4:16, the people which sat in darkness saw great light, and to those in the region and shadow of death, light is sprung up.

In Psalm 119:130, the entrance of your words gives light — it gives understanding to the simple. When your spirit is flooded with the light of the word, you never get confused in life. The Holy Spirit will always show you what to do, what steps to take, what moves to make to bring about your turnaround.

Pathways to Revelation

Revelation is being able to see what God is saying. It is one thing to read the Bible; it is another thing to catch light from the word. Like traveling in your mind to your sitting room while sitting in the church, revelation is seeing pictures in your spirit that only you can see.

Pathway 1 — Walk in the Fear of the Lord. In Ecclesiastes 12:13, fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. We must come to a point of consciousness of the eyes of the Lord that run to and through all the ends of the earth. In Proverbs 1:23, turn at my reproof and I will pour out my spirit unto you and make known my words unto you. Respond when the Holy Ghost is pricking your heart.

Pathway 2 — Maintain the Love of God in Your Heart. In John 15:10, if you keep my commandments you shall abide in my love. In 1 Corinthians 2:9-10, eye has not seen nor ear heard the things which God has prepared for them that love him, but God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit. The gap between ordinary Christians and those operating in great revelation often comes down to their heartbeat for God. God sees the table of our hearts as we see the palm of our hands — you cannot fake it.

Pathway 3 — Commit to Giving Thanks for Access to His Presence. In Psalm 65:4, blessed is the man whom you choose and cause to approach unto you. You have access to the throne of the King of Kings — keep celebrating that privilege. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, in everything give thanks. Paul was in prison but the prison was not in him, so God could still speak to him there. Do not allow what you are going through to disconnect you from your source.

Pathway 4 — Continue to Seek Brighter Light and Deeper Insight. In 1 Corinthians 8:2, if any man thinks he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know. Go for more light. When the light on John 3:16's word so came — that God so loved that he could leave his throne, be disgraced, go to hell because of you — I screamed: I can never be poor. It is seeing what he has seen that will usher you into that dimension of glory.

Benefits of Spiritual Understanding

Benefit 1 — Sanctification. In John 17:17, sanctify them through your truth — your word is truth. In Psalm 119:9,11, wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to your word. Your word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against you. The word regulates your actions and your thoughts. Cultivate the habit of taking a regular word bath.

Benefit 2 — Divine Guidance. In Psalm 119:105, your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. He knows the end from the beginning and everything about your life and destiny. God revealed four keys to supernatural church growth to his servant, and one was: keep swinging the seed, the sheep will come for it; keep the grass green, the sheep will lie down.

Benefit 3 — Noiseless Breakthrough. In Isaiah 48:17,21, I am the Lord your God who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go — and they thirsted not. God knows where your breakthrough is waiting for you, where your miracle job is waiting, where your God-ordained partner is waiting.

But we must remember: it is only the word we put to work that will produce results. In Matthew 7:24-25, whoever hears these words of mine and does them I will liken unto a wise man who built his house upon a rock — the rain descended, the floods came, the winds blew, and it fell not. Our response to the word activates his power. In Psalm 89:34, my covenant will I not break nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. God's prosperity plan is a covenant, not a prayer — until your part is played, he is not committed to its release.
