The greatest problem is the pride of pastors

The greatest problem in the body of Christ today is not sin. It is not witches and wizards. It is not even the devil.

It is the pride of pastors.

The pride of pastors is the singular reason the program of God has suffered a great deal. Not necessarily because men and women of God are bad. There's just something about human nature that finds it embarrassing to submit to superior knowledge.

Reasons for the pride:

1. Psychological

   Our backgrounds, low self-esteem, our upbringing

   A subliminal programming: when you have capacity to a measure and have to sit down and listen to another person, it feels like an insult on your achievement

   Subconsciously, even though we know we need the knowledge, we fight it

2. Overestimation of self

   It's good to know how far you have come, but also see the empty half so you press to completion

If men and women of God became a lot meeker and embraced humility by even a little fraction, it would advance the course of God's program remarkably

The wise will increase in learning Proverbs 1:5

Mastery takes away the difficulty and makes you trivialize the process that led to it. A driver gisting while driving makes driving look easy until you try learning it

Where you are will not stop you from going where you need to be.

Divorce pride and overestimation of self

I can learn from anybody: plants, animals, children, prodigies, even the people I raised. It's not a father watching sons, it is God speaking through a vessel to everybody

I listen to my own teachings twice. Once for personal edification because it is God who spoke through me. Again because I'm committed to improvement. I listen brutally, no sentiments

Something that has kept you bound for 10 years can be resolved in five minutes of humility

Do not cheapen the sacrifice that brings distilled knowledge

People don't just become rich, anointed, influential. People don't just attract the favor of God, have a voice that is heard, understand scripture, command finances, exert influence over people and systems

The politician did not just become a senator by luck. We must have a healthy respect for growth and for results

John 16:12, John 16:13, 2 Peter 3:16

After years of teaching, Jesus was honest enough to say there were still many things they could not bear. Some of those things were what Paul taught, and even Peter said they were hard

A conference like this is a capacity building session where God upgrades you so that in light of superior knowledge your possibilities multiply

Results that look like mountains now will look different in the presence of superior knowledge

Destiny actualization and impact: if you understand the dynamics, it will work. If you don't, you can go around that mountain for a lifetime

Sentiment is not a key. "I think the door will respect me" does not open doors. When you have the right key, the door opens

Your car doesn't know it is you driving. It just knows an obedient person is driving. Whether male, female, 18 or 80, once obedience engages the mechanics, it moves. Old disobedience will not drive it

• Lord, pride has interrupted my growth. I should have been a cutting edge prophet by now. I should have been a woman of power, a multi-billionaire for the kingdom.
• This colleague mentality, this familiarity and overestimation of self, has kept us down.

Luke 11:35

There are things I believed before and don't believe now. Things I didn't believe before and believe now. That's growth, that's transformation

I'm not emotionally connected to knowledge. Once I find out it's an error, I divorce it immediately

Your GPS doesn't say "you insulted my rep." It recalculates immediately. The time it takes to manage pride is wasted energy that can be channeled towards result

• Father, my heart is open. This is for my destiny, my ministry, Your program.

Why do people fail?

• Mindset
• Lack of adequate knowledge: relevant knowledge versus generic knowledge
• Wrong knowledge, wrong association, being in the wrong space
• Stubbornness: not applying the specific key to the specific situation

Ecclesiastes 10:15

The foolish is not an insult, it is a description of a kind of person. No exception. The reason is he doesn't know how to go to the city, not because there is no road to the city

The foolish businessman, the foolish man of God, the foolish father. Take it as unwise

A way of doing business, ministry, leadership that seems right. But the end thereof

Everybody sits before their paper believing they will pass

Some honestly read but they read a lie. Some went for tutorial, sincere, but the person who taught them did not know how to make them win

Others sit with settled confidence. It's not pride, they are sure they will win

That examination is your destiny

Others get out of the exam hall and brag "let my result come" when the result is already concluded. They didn't answer any question

In mathematics even your wrong answer is there. The fact that you found your answer there does not mean you got it right

The kingdom functions on relationships, principles and action

Hebrews 4:9, Hebrews 4:7

There is a way of winners. A way of champions. A way that causes doors to open.

There is a way of influence, a way of grace, a way of rest.

There is a way to transgenerational relevance, a way to the anointing, a way to wisdom.

1. Relationships

   You must have a relationship with God and with men

   Your relationship with Jesus Christ secured your eternal destiny. With the Holy Ghost, it brings you into progressive knowledge. With the word, it brings enlightenment

   The relationship between a husband and wife produces another generation. God takes family seriously: Genesis starts with a family, Revelation ends with a family

   Satan hates family and relationships. If he cannot stop a meaningful relationship, he brings another one that corrupts you John 8:44

2. Principles

   Matthew 13:11, Job 38:33

   It has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom, the principles

   Do you know the laws of the universe? Can you use them to regulate the earth? Use the laws of heaven to replicate heaven's dominion within your domain

3. Action

   Matthew 14:28

   Faith is not just believing. Faith is action based on your believing. If it does not translate to action, it is not faith

   Jesus never said "Peter come." He's still saying come till today. You can get up by faith, walk on water and rewrite your destiny

Daniel 11:32

It starts with relationship, then knowledge transforms you, then you do exploits. Not talk about exploits, not explain exploits

When life and ministry are not working

Proverbs 18:1

When you settle and ask "why is my life not moving forward? Why is ministry not working for me?" there is an answer to that dilemma

How can you be so knowledgeable and a generation is craving that solution but they don't want it from you? Another person says it less impactfully and they prefer him

Your problem is not a knowledge problem. Something else is wrong

"I am not an ignorant man of God," yet the church is still small. People rise with Bibles on their heads at a conference and then never invite him again. There are dynamics they do not understand

When things are working and you can't explain why, you are sitting on a time bomb

Finances: 10 million came, you gave a testimony, three months later you are begging again, in the east, in the west, abroad. You are not lazy. What is wrong?

If you don't know how to ask questions you will never get an answer. To the one who cannot ask, the answer is always no

The anointing: I've prayed and fasted for years and the anointing is not there. Prayer can become an idol. The scribes and Pharisees stood and prayed. They were not prayerless Matthew 6:5

Number one: your walk with God

You can excel as humans define excellence without God. But there is no sustainability to any excellence disconnected from a spirit influence. A spirit influence participating in any success gives it consistency and longevity

As a freethinker you can engage principles and get results. But when your result goes beyond a certain threshold, it reveals that a spirit has come into partnership with you, either a demonic spirit or the Spirit of the living God

First call: restore your love for Jesus and the fear of the Lord. The way that wins, the way that is sustainable. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom Proverbs 9:10

1 Corinthians 2:9, 1 Corinthians 2:10

The Holy Ghost has revealed to the lovers of God dimensions of revelation that don't just come because of desire

Your love for God is your system of accreditation to grant you access to certain dimensions of knowledge

Being zealous for truth does not mean you will be trusted with it. Certain levels of revelation are not an achievement, they are a trust. God brings it on account of your love for Him

If God does not stand to support a man, eventually you will be frustrated. There is a dimension of ministry only the size of God can fill

There are dimensions where it becomes clear before the nations that God is behind you. Even a blind man can know the finger of God is in it Psalm 126:2, Psalm 126:3

A man can secure the backing of God. A young lady can secure the backing of God. People came from nowhere because they did business with God and He backed them in the open. Nobody laughs at you when God is backing you

A gentleman I met years ago had no nice voice, was not even coherent, but was sincere. After 10 minutes people were getting blessed from a fountain that was certainly not from his brain. My conclusion: this boy has met God

The frailty of men commanding unending results is because the hand of God came to back them

Your desire to do ministry must not start with a desire to build a church. It starts with hunger and love for God

I am a genuine lover of Jesus. It is the biggest secret of my life. What gives weight to this man is my love for Jesus and the privilege of His mercy

The proof of love is what you can give up

Genesis 22:2

The greatest proof of your love is what you can give up. Not your feeling for it

When you say "Lord, I love You," what some of you mean is "I feel emotionally connected to You." That's not the language

If God has a love language, it is sacrifice. When you say "I love You," His next question is "more than what?"

Let me see your reputation, desires, goals and plans on the altar. The extent of inconvenience you can go through with joy

Do you love Him more than your bank account? Don't be quick to say yes, He will come there. Abraham, take now thy son

There are preachers that love ministry more than Jesus. Preachers that love prayer more than Jesus. Preachers that love word study and revelation more than Jesus. Preachers that love membership and programs more than Jesus. Leaders that love leading more than Jesus

There are businessmen who connect to Jesus because He is the most reliable formula for prospering. They tried other routes, too risky. That is still idolatry

My first assignment is to bring you to the point where your love for Jesus becomes incontestable, settled. Anything that stands in His way, nothing else can take His place

A husband finds a journal: "for 2 years I will be nice to this man hoping to get 100 million, and afterwards I change." Heartbreaking

That is how many of us use God and worship Him like a goal, like a project. You are eyeing the day you have the anointing for a stadium, the capacity to travel the nation

"You don't love Me, you love the ladder called Me."

What is locked up in our hearts frustrates the potency of our prayer and spiritual activities

There is an energy that comes from the purity of your pursuit. Those you lead sense it. They know this man loves us, but he loves Jesus

When you get to this realm of love, there are many things you will not pray for

Increase reveals intentions. When your fears, pain and insecurities give way, all that is left is your truest intention

By the time you win, you realize "I never truly had passion for prayer, I just wanted church membership. I never had passion to learn, I just wanted to make it." This illusion of making it has deceived people

Someone starts well and when there is increase you wonder what happened. It was always there but was too distracted to be revealed

God has found a lover more than a preacher, more than a businessman. I'm not talking about shouting it on people's faces. A man always shouting "I love my wife" is likely looking at another woman. Genuine love has restfulness

• You're all I want. Help me know You.
• Will You help me find a way? Bring me back to You.

The Lord told me years ago, "Son, if you will let men see Me..." When the light is on you and God says get out of the way, that is the labor of years and your time to shine. God says "no, that is not for you. Stand. That throne belongs to Me"

Can you give up your reputation, dreams, goals? Can God demand everything of worth in your account and you say yes sir?

God's program does not need me. When Jesus died, heaven did not collapse for three days. God was still on the throne. A space in His program is an eternal honor

Love for Jesus is an antidote to offense

Matthew 11:6

Offense is the cancer that destroyed John the Baptist. What adultery, fornication, drinking and smoking could not do, offense did

The higher you grow in ministry, that is the cross you have to carry and the temptation you overcome

As a preacher, it is better to cancel your schedule for one year and grow in intimacy with God than to be everywhere and hear "I do not know you" Matthew 7:23

The fear of the Lord

There are many discussions that will not happen when you truly fear God. Nobody will need to say "don't manipulate people." The fear of God has taken over

Many discussions in church today are symptoms of the bankruptcy of genuine fear

"Be a billion naira richer, but I fear God. I would rather become a fool than take blood money"

The fear of the Lord makes a leader lead with sincerity

The root of most problems in the church is the absence of the fear of the Lord. Not an immorality issue, not a lying issue, not a pride issue

Our fathers' salvation was genuine. They loved God genuinely. They didn't have all the revelation, some did not even pray in tongues, but you could bring them a bag of money and they would refuse to sell their conscience

We have allowed westernization and adulteration of the gospel, among Pentecostals and charismatics. I will evolve, but there are anchors that will not change

If we restore our passion for God, you are ready to see the power and glory of God

• Lord, I repent. I have manipulated people in ministry for gain. There's pride locked up in me.
• Search my heart. Purify my motives. Let it be nothing else but Jesus, above the desire to make it, above the desire to be great. Take away the idols from my heart.
• Show us mercy. Deliver us from our vulnerabilities, fears and weaknesses, from the things that can destroy our destinies.
• Bring us to a place where we love You genuinely. Restore the fear of God in us.

Psalm 51:17

The way of the altar is the way of power. The way of genuineness, not condemnation but brokenness

We are not repenting because we are sinners but because we desperately need His love and presence. The generation that is truly broken is a generation that will carry His power

When people ask why you are excelling in business, don't just say "I've mastered the art of selling." Say "The Lord has shown me mercy because of the depth of my love and my connection."

Number two: the power of value and productivity

To be valuable is to sustain capacity to meet needs, answer questions, solve problems and provide solutions

Influence in this kingdom is directly connected to the extent of value you provide, spiritually and intellectually

We have taught consecration and intimacy but not the power of value and productivity. It is one of the most neglected parts of growth

Mark 1:35 to Mark 1:37

Jesus went alone to pray. He did not call them, but Simon and those with Him followed of their own accord. The fact that they are with you does not mean they will follow you

"All men." Businessmen, politicians, every tribe. All men can follow a man

How you know you are valuable is by who follows you and the sacrifices they make with joy

As a preacher, why should people listen to you? You are answering questions, meeting needs, solving problems. It is spiritual in context but it is real solution

To remain relevant, keep digging deep, keep rising higher, and remain so valuable that every encounter solves problems and meets needs

Isaiah 60:1 to Isaiah 60:3

If everybody is ignoring you, it is not just a demonic attack. Even if it is, that attack is preying on the fact that you are not valuable

Will my life change if I meet you? Will I become wiser? If contact with you makes me more foolish or fearful, you are a burden to me

In destiny, the lighter you are, the higher you fly

Be a master of your craft Psalm 45:1

A man cannot bring his wife and children to sit in your church for three months and become the most foolish version of himself. You erode wisdom from his life by selling opinions

If nobody is coming after you for the value you provide, go to the secret place: "Lord, something is wrong. Increase my value"

The gift of a man makes room. It didn't say it shows him where the room is. There is no room anywhere. It makes room, and brings him before great men Proverbs 18:16

Two dimensions of value: virtue and skill

If you are bankrupt of character, your technical skills will not take you far

Intelligent but disloyal. Prone to rebellion. Not understanding honor

A young man comes to the fathers of faith: "I am brilliant, I have revelation." He picks someone almost three times his age: "daddy, come let me use you for an example." The pastors who are his destiny helpers are watching that childishness. He is doctrinally sound but still a child. All the pastors already know who will not come for their next conference

Value is not just being intelligent. It is the wisdom that helps you excel within the cosmos. Many believers and leaders are not valuable

If I come to you, what do you have to offer me? Am I growing as a result of my relationship with you? I love you, but I love my destiny too

A restaurant that is not working: you like the food because it is your food, but can I eat it? Customers are not emotionally connected to your family story. They want results

Being a church member is an advantage only when competence is on ground. Don't blackmail people because they are your church members

Many believers do not deliver to expectation. They destroy business relationships because they have not learned the protocol of the palace

There is a way to talk to kings. If you answer Pharaoh like you answer the wine presser, you will go back to prison Genesis 41

• Every door that has been closed because of incompetence, lack of value and not understanding the protocol of the palace, may mercy reopen that door.

Value shows from the way you dress to the way you speak, communicate your ideas and the way you disagree

Rebuke not an elder in public 1 Timothy 5:1. You are granted access on a platform and tell a 70 year old who mentored your father to stand up because you see something. They think it is God closing the doors

Value also tests your emotional maturity: what to say, when to say it, how to say it

You stand before politicians: "all of you, this corruption, I'm a preacher, I will say it." Unknown to you, your father has been submitting an application for a project. You destroy it right there. Zeal without knowledge Proverbs 19:2

There is a stature you must have in the spirit and in destiny to afford to make certain statements. Tell somebody of stature to say it. Some crosses are heavier than your level. Doctors and judges understand jurisdiction

If you will master your emotions, master character and become productive, there is no power that can keep you where you are

I told myself years ago my influence would not stop at the pulpit. I will advise kings, presidents, nobles. Just saying it, I knew it would not happen. You need to understand the protocol of the palace. Those things that looked like a dream have become my reality

If you ask "which president is listening to you? Which governor are you mentoring?" and the answer is none, keep quiet and learn

Our dishonor to fathers is why we don't enter their level of reality. Respect growth. Respect stability of results. Learn with all your heart from people with results in righteousness

It is not just grace. It is grace maximized. Grace can be rejected. Grace received, grace utilized, grace maximized

Superior knowledge is not everywhere. When you find it, you treasure it

Take responsibility over your ministry. Find out what is not working. Receive the empowerment, rewrite your story or sit down in offense. The people winning are already winning

I got here by mercy, but not by luck

• I receive grace to be valuable. I receive grace to go for knowledge, to learn, to build capacity.

Transformation is a belief system

Philippians 2:5

Value depends on your level of transformation

Transformation is the process, the discipline, of adopting a more superior belief system

Where you are now is a product of your belief system so far. Where you need to go will be a product of your belief system. Work ceaselessly on it

Dishonor is a belief system. Honor, diligence, loyalty, meekness and humility, friendliness, giving, patience, a kind heart, refusing to be offended, the ease of offense: all belief systems

Can you say "I am sorry" when you are wrong? Can you say "please" when you need to? If saying sorry makes you look small, you remain a failure for 10 years because you could not say sorry for one minute

Make up your mind to be valuable. If not, you will be competitive, angry and failing

The person already succeeding does not care how you feel. What you think about a billionaire's car and house is your business. He is training his children, making progress. You are the one who needs to pay your rent

One way you know a billionaire is his humility. He greets everybody. Adaptation is proof of honor

• May pride not waste your time. May it not waste your life.
• If things are not working, find the answer on time. If it's a child that has the answer, submit on time and learn.
• If a baby can teach me humility, I will humble myself and learn.
• I receive grace to be valuable.

Hebrews 7:7

I was born and bred in the north and blessed by the denomination that raised me. I had love for God and moral excellence, but administration at a global scale was not something I was taught

To serve God's program at a global scale I had to cover those gaps and open up to knowledge on administration, leadership and management

These were learned abilities, not just impartation. I submitted to learning because I saw the deficiency in my life. I was already a man of God, but the less is blessed of the greater

At the crusade, Reinhard Bonnke preached a painfully simple sermon to over 100,000 people. They are not stupid. They stood for hours

By the second day I made up my mind I would not just attend, I must serve. I told them "committee or no committee, I traveled a long distance, let me serve." I pushed wheelchairs to the front, praying in the spirit

"Lord, I honor You and I honor this grace. My revelation notwithstanding, no matter what you think you know, if it does not produce what you want, keep learning."

Pride says "what does he have that I don't have? Holy Ghost, salvation." That is the folly of this generation

When I received that grace and it landed on my head, I knew it had come. Grace shows when it rests. If you don't have it, you don't have it

Theoretical champions are winners in their minds, but it never manifests because they do not understand the value component

Prospering in ministry with integrity

I saw pastors struggling to complete a 300 seater church. Raise money, raise money, then a rich man comes, brings money and owns the church

I prayed, "Father, show me the way of prospering in ministry with integrity." No money laundering, no fraud, because going to the nations is expensive

We do not owe anybody from any conference. Those days of being held after a crusade are over. That's the value of growth

If somebody tells you that you cannot prosper in ministry with integrity, they are lying

There are certain sermons you cannot preach when you have eaten from the table of wickedness. You will not have the audacity

The assignment of mentorship is to give you wisdom without the pain factor. Celebrate your pastor and thank him

The way is the way of value

Stay with the anointing. Stay with knowledge. Master your craft

Obtain grace. Go for knowledge. Buy books. Go for certifications and character building series

Intellectually sound but no character: "I say my mind." Those who say their minds foolishly remain where they are

Some of you need help in the area of sarcasm. Great people come around you and you say "is this the only belt you have?" You think you are being nice

You are gifted, but when you are angry you slap your customer. Another madam loses her business. Character is also just being polite: "Good afternoon sir." "Come, you will be my secretary tomorrow"

A brother wants to marry you, his only problem is your mouth. What is the effect on my children, on my company? He chooses opportunity cost

When God brings results closer to you, don't despise it. Receive it sincerely

Don't allow small-minded people to infect you with their mediocrity like a virus

This grace is older than us. It's a relay. Those who ran it ran it well. The price is value

The fact that you refuse to grow does not mean everybody refused to grow. Some were humble enough to learn while you were busy managing ego

A woman listened to one message, the law of honor, and built her business from scratch

Assignment: write seven spiritual virtues of character you need to pray in your life. Start with the fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5:22. Add honor, respect, gracious and temperate with words, humility

When men look for exceptional people, they are looking for the quality of Jesus in ordinary men. Looking for a secretary is looking for Jesus in a woman you can trust

• The spirit of laziness, the spirit of pride, the arrival mentality that stops many from becoming champions, I drive it far from you in the name of Jesus.
• Every belief system against the ways of God, I command it to leave my mind.
• Entitlement as a belief system, compromise, dishonor, disregard for excellence, let it leave my mind right now. It's time for me to soar like the eagle.

4 aspects of leadership

1. Image management (self leadership)

   Self leadership is the greatest dimension of leadership: managing yourself, reputation management

   Where to go, how to dress, what to say, what chariot to join

   Your association can be the reason people don't trust you. They check the devil, they see you at his dinner table. They check Jesus, they see you at His dinner table

   You are building the kingdom of God and also the brand that is building the kingdom. Impact is not sustained until it is branded

   An original bottle of Coca-Cola that has been cleaned, you won't take it. The product is genuine, but you don't trust the brand. In a boutique you are buying logos and brands, not products

   How you manage yourself defines how a generation accords you loyalty

   A man of God can't go to a wedding arguing over meat and plate. It's not pride, it's leadership. It's not your wedding

   Someone invited to preach with a torn cloth and holes in the stockings. The person who gave the honorarium knows what he gave. Respect where you are going

   Ministry media: you are projecting the image of the ministry. There is a science to creating perceptions that bring glory to the Lord, and a way to be rated as unserious

2. Vision management

   Every leader exists to coordinate a people to achieve goals

3. People management

   Their consecration and their passion for God

4. Resource and financial management

   Proverbs 13:22, Proverbs 21:20

   When money grows, learn how to preserve and perpetuate wealth. A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children

   Wealth in Africa and Nigeria never crosses three generations. The first labors, the grandchildren are born into a billionaire family and become prodigals. Overseas you find fourth and fifth generation wealth

   Treasure and oil are in the dwelling of the wise, but the foolish spends it all

Redefining Inheritance

Things to transfer to your children, biological and spiritual:

• Your spiritual convictions
• Your name, your reputation
• Your relationships
• Financial intelligence: how money comes (favor and value), how money is managed (financial planning, prioritizing needs, savings), how money grows (the science of investment), how money is perpetuated (store of value)

Greatness is not luck

Greatness is not luck. Consistent results is not luck

It is the abundance of relationship with Jesus Christ, the knowledge of the principles of the kingdom, and the grace to take consistent action

Assignment:

1. Deal with the issue of your love for Jesus. Don't let anything take His place in your life
2. Go for knowledge. Become valuable: character formation, then capacity building, then mental transformation
3. Focus on leadership: image management, vision management, people management, resource management
4. The last aspect: the grace component, the anointing, the place of impartation Psalm 89:20

The anointing of the Spirit does not make the difference. The anointing is the difference. It is the difference between an ordinary hard worker and one whose works produce profit

Prayer and declarations

• Every high thing must come down. Every stronghold shall be broken. You wear the victor's crown. You overcome.
• Father, the grace to step into the next level of kingdom exploits in ministry, business and career. It's time to soar like the eagle, to rise above every challenge.
• You are my glory, the lifter up of my head. Psalm 3:3

The grace needed for the next level of exploits in business, ministry and career, receive it now.

The anointing that sets you on fire as a man of God, as a business person, as an entrepreneur, carry that grace.

Every door that has been closed over your destiny, that door opens now.

Every pastor struggling, growth not coming, membership not coming: the grace that rested on the ark of Noah that made the animals come on their own, may it rest on your ministry and vision.

The capacity to provide answers, to meet needs, to provide solutions, receive it right now. The quickening of your mind.

I pray over the works of your hands. Every business that is dead or dying, come back to life now.

Those looking for property or land, whether for church or yourself, may my God locate you right now.

Between now and December 2026, I command your helpers to show up in ministry, in business, in your enterprise.

Every attack on your reputation, ministry, marriage, body, relevance, finances: by the rod of a higher priesthood, from today may your life be easy. Doors open on their own, helpers arise, receive help on time.

Anyone who has said "where is your God?", from this week, may your result answer them.

By next year some of you pastors will be building overflows by the Spirit of the living God.
