The Gospel and Imputed Righteousness
The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and the newness of life that it gives us.
Salvation is not personal. If we stand on the righteousness of God or are accepted by God because of what Jesus has done then we cannot claim that salvation is personal. What we have is an imputed righteousness.
Once we receive the life of Christ, we become selfless. Love is wanting something for others. Lust is wanting something from them. Once we receive the love of God shed abroad in our hearts we want to dispense it and share it with the world.
God Awaits the One Who Responds
Revival can break out from anywhere. God is looking for a people that will say yes and answer the call. One of the signs of your submission to the lordship of Jesus is that his interest begins to interest you. You don’t give excuses to his word. You don’t say not so Lord or not now Lord.

Many became Christians but never received Jesus as Lord.
Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus. Jesus is not an addition to your life. He comes to rule in your life. God is a king and you entered his kingdom. He must have the final say. He is instructing you not advising you.
Present Your Bodies a Living Sacrifice
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
A living sacrifice knows it is being offered but chooses to stay on the altar. God wants you to trust him with your life. If the service is not holy or acceptable it is unreasonable.

Evangelism Is Preaching the Gospel
Evangelism is telling someone about the gospel of Jesus Christ — his death, burial and resurrection — calling them to repentance and faith in Jesus for salvation.
The gospel is a message. Romans 10:14-17 How then shall they call on him whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Romans 1:16
The gospel needs a preacher as seen in the story of Cornelius who needed Peter to hear the gospel.
Peter preached how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power who went about doing good and healing all oppressed by the devil. We are witnesses of these things. The Holy Spirit falls when the gospel is preached.
The gospel message focuses on what Christ has done not on the sins of the hearer. It is the same message to everyone.
We do not use fear of hell. The message is of love. Perfect love casts out fear.
The End of Evangelism Is Soul Winning and Discipleship
The goal of evangelism is soul winning. Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples, baptizing them and teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you.
Evangelism is not complete until there is teaching and discipleship.
Acts 2:46 The Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. The church is the agency of salvation and the bride of Jesus.
Use Everyday Skills to Share the Gospel
The same boldness used to get a date or recommend a movie can be used to evangelize. Use the skills of selling yourself in interviews, telling stories, following up, posting on social media, and networking to share the gospel and defend the faith.
Care about someone’s eternity the way you care about your reputation.
If people leave this world without Jesus they are eternally damned. This should compel us to evangelize and pray persistently for the unsaved.
One soul won can lead to millions coming to Christ.
