Pastor Philip Olubakin Preaching - Our Gratitude
Sermon

lightbulb Message Summary - Key Nuggets

  • God's Faithfulness Has Not Failed Once: Every promise spoken has been kept. Not one word has fallen to the ground. He will not alter what he has said. 1 Kings 8:56, Psalms 89:34
  • His Word Is Forever Settled: The word of God concerning your prosperity, fruitfulness, and progress is not subject to debate or delay — it is settled in heaven. Psalms 119:89
  • God Is Not Slow: What looks like delay is not slowness — it is precision. He is not slack concerning his promise. He arrives exactly when he said. 2 Peter 3:9
  • His Financial Provision Is Supernatural: What God has done through this house exceeds natural explanation. Five loaves became twelve baskets. He commanded ravens that have not stopped coming. Psalms 78:23-25

We Are Grateful for His Faithfulness

1 Kings 8:56

Not one word has failed of all the good promises God made. There has not been one thing he said he was going to do that he did not do.

Psalms 89:34

God says: my covenant I will not break, nor will I alter what has gone out of my lips. He did not say he would not break it. He said it is impossible for him to break it. It is not about willingness — it is about his nature. God cannot lie.

Whatever God has spoken concerning your life, he has not changed his mind. Not one word. Not one promise.

Satan will come and tell you God has changed his mind. He will point to your failures and say God can no longer use you. That is the voice of someone who knows he cannot be born again — someone for whom no one agreed to die. Ignore him. God said: I will not alter what I have said.

His Word Is Settled in Heaven

Psalms 119:89-90

Forever, O Lord, your word is settled in heaven. His faithfulness is to all generations. He established the earth and it stays.

The earth is hanging in space with no pillar, upheld by the word of his power. If the word of God can hold the entire earth in place, it can hold your life, your family, your finances, and your future in the place he has assigned them.

God Is Not Slow

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. What appears as delay is not slowness — it is timing. It is precision. Seven years looked slow until the seventh year arrived. Many started and crashed. Staying through the journey is the requirement.

His Financial Provision Is Supernatural

Psalms 78:23-25

He commanded the clouds. He opened the doors of heaven. He rained down manna — angel's food. He gave them all they could hold.

There is no natural explanation for what God has done for this house financially. From 14,000 naira in a church account to hosting international ministers with chefs trained in France. From 24 members in a picture to a congregation that cannot fit in one frame. He took five loaves, gave thanks, and kept multiplying.

Your offering is not the source. God breathed on the offering. That is why the numbers never made sense — until you remembered who was holding them.

He has been faithful. He will remain faithful. Give him thanks.

Inspiring Quote

Sermon

"One symptom of backsliding is that you begin to look down on the simple things that keep you on fire, calling a devotional 'just milk.' It's not about the information, it's about the consistency."
