Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo Preaching - Operating in the Kingdom Culture - Part 2
Sermon

lightbulb Message Summary - Key Nuggets

  • Kingdom of Church vs Kingdom of God: Many believers have only experienced the kingdom inside church walls. It is time to carry kingdom culture into every area of life — marketplace, government, arts, education.
  • Dominion Was Given to Man: From Genesis 1, God's design was for man to have dominion over the earth. That mandate has not changed. Genesis 1:28
  • Marriage and Relationships Are Kingdom Assignments: If you are constantly meeting the wrong people, the common denominator is you. Knowledge shapes who you attract and who you choose.
  • Lock Up Nothing: Kingdom impact is not meant to be confined to a church service. Every believer is called to carry kingdom values beyond the building and into their world.

Kingdom of Church vs Kingdom of God

Genesis 1:1

For too long, the church has been doing the kingdom of church instead of the kingdom of God. We experience God's best when we are inside church, and then we lock up that kingdom when we step back into the world. But God's kingdom was never meant to be contained in a building.

It is time to take the kingdom out of the church and into every sphere of life.

The seven mountains of culture — media, government, education, economy, family, religion, arts — these are the places where the kingdom needs to be present and operational. Believers are supposed to be the most influential people in every one of those spheres.

The Original Mandate: Dominion

Genesis 1:28

From the very beginning, God gave man the mandate to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and have dominion. This was not a suggestion. It was an assignment. God designed his people to rule and govern — not to be passive, not to sit on the sidelines, but to lead, to create, to shape.

The kingdom of God needs to be operating in every sphere where humans live, work, and make decisions.

Relationships Built on Kingdom Knowledge

Knowledge matters enormously in the area of marriage and relationships. If you are constantly running into bad men or bad women, the common denominator is you. Something in how you think, what you value, and how you present yourself is attracting the wrong people.

Knowledge of what to look for, what to avoid, and who you are called to be shapes who you attract and who you choose.

A quality person is drawn to a quality person. Kingdom culture in relationships means choosing with wisdom, not just with emotion. It means building on principles that outlast the honeymoon season and create covenant partnerships that carry purpose.

The kingdom was always meant for everywhere. Carry it with you when you leave.

Inspiring Quote

Sermon

"One symptom of backsliding is that you begin to look down on the simple things that keep you on fire, calling a devotional 'just milk.' It's not about the information, it's about the consistency."
