A Game of Economies

When a blind Christian dies and goes to heaven, will he be blind there? When a lame Christian dies and goes to heaven, will he be lame there? No. This reveals something important: there is a different economy of health, of prosperity, of dominion that is entirely separate from the earth's economy.

Miracles happen when a superior economy is superimposed on an inferior one.

Nicodemus looked at Jesus and said, "No one can do these mighty works except God be with him." He was acknowledging a different and superior economy at work. The concept of an embassy illustrates this. Julian Assange, pursued by British police, stepped inside the Ecuadorian embassy in London — and for seven years, even with an arrest warrant, the British authorities could not touch him. One step outside the door and they could arrest him. One step inside and the laws of a different sovereign nation applied. It is possible to have a nation within a nation, an economy within an economy.

The kingdom of God works the same way. Where the kingdom comes, a different set of possibilities applies — including in health, finances, and anything the earth would call impossible.

What Is Eden?

Right from the beginning of Scripture, a concept appears that is broader than most people realize. Eden is not simply the garden in Genesis. There were many Edens in the Bible.

Ezekiel 28:13-14 describes a being who was in Eden, the garden of the Lord, on the holy mountain of God. So there was not just a garden called Eden — there was also a mountain called Eden. Genesis 28:12 records Jacob's ladder: a staircase set upon the earth reaching to heaven, with angels ascending and descending. When Jacob woke he said, "Surely God was in this place, and I knew it not." He built an altar there.

Eden is any place on the earth where heaven kisses earth.

The original garden was not simply a geographical location — it was a place where the potentialities of heaven overlapped a portion of the earth. That is why there were talking serpents, why God could walk in the cool of the day with man. It was a spiritual reality overlapping a natural place.

Three Edens can be identified:

• The garden of Genesis — where heaven's potentialities first overlapped with the earth
• The holy mountain in Ezekiel — the cherub walked there in the midst of fiery stones
• The temple in Jerusalem — the inner court had inscriptions of flowers, trees, and a cherubim at the entrance, deliberately designed to communicate: you have stepped into a garden. Every Eden is the border of heaven. The most holy place represented heaven on earth.

Jesus: The First Walking Eden

In the New Testament, everything shifts. Jesus told Nathanael prophetically: "You will see angels ascending and descending — not at Bethel, but on the Son of Man." That was an announcement: I have become a portal.

This was the first time a man was a walking Eden.

No longer did the economy of heaven require a specific place. The place could come to the person. Wherever Jesus went, He was doing good — healing all that were oppressed, because God was with Him. That is the technology. No more a place — a Person.

The children of Israel leaving Egypt carried a type and shadow of this: a pillar of cloud by day, a pillar of fire by night. They carried their own atmosphere. The economy of where they were could not affect them because they carried a superior environment with them.

This is why Jesus could look at 5,000 hungry people and tell Philip to feed them. Philip, functioning from a natural vantage point, calculated that a year's wages would not be enough. Jesus was not performing a one-off miracle — He was teaching a principle. He blessed the bread, broke it, distributed it — and it did not finish. He was demonstrating how to function from a different economy.

The Transfer to the Believer

In John 14, Jesus says: "I will pray the Father and He will send you another Comforter to be with you forever. Wherever you walked with me, the economy of heaven walked with you — but now I am going. That same economy will come and dwell in you forever. In that day you shall know that I am in you and you in me."

2 Corinthians 5:20 — believers are now ambassadors for Christ. God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. Christ is now in heaven. How does God continue His work? Through those who carry His Spirit. Just as Jesus sat at the well and said, "If you knew the gift of God" — every believer who walks with this consciousness can truly represent the full economy of heaven to anyone they encounter, because the Holy Spirit dwells within them.

Isaiah 40:31 — in the natural economy, the best a human being can do is run. But those who wait upon the Lord shall mount up with wings as eagles — walk and not be weary, run and not faint. There is a potentiality available that entirely transcends the natural: the ability to fly.

A practical illustration: two people travel to the same destination. One leaves at 6 a.m. by road. The other wakes up leisurely, has breakfast, picks up his children from school, drives to the airport, takes a one-hour flight — and arrives before the one who left at dawn. Same destination. Different economy.

What was slow is about to become fast. Where you have been walking, grace is about to carry you.

How the Economy of Heaven Operates in a Life

There are two things that cause the economy of heaven to be superimposed on the earth:

1. Salvation

   Colossians 1:13 — He has translated believers from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son. The economy has changed. A gospel musician came to minister one evening and was playing poorly — not from lack of skill, but because just two days earlier he had been diagnosed with a heart condition. Any rigorous physical activity could cause him to pass out. A word of knowledge was released identifying someone with a recent heart diagnosis. He came forward, received prayer, fell under the power. Two days later at his scheduled checkup — same hospital, same machine — there was nothing. Nothing.

   This same economy operates for those who carry Him. When the speaker's wife developed a growth in her body, it disappeared during a camp meeting in which other such things were already disappearing. Her father — a trained medical doctor — examined her. It was not there. They went to the cancer hospital already scheduled for the following day. A specialist checked. Checked again. Raised the prior report and asked, "Is this you?" When asked if it was medically possible, the specialist said: "It's impossible." The response given in that moment: something positive and impossible is about to happen in your life.

   Testimonies are replicable. This is not an isolated occurrence — it is a technology.

2. The Preaching of the Gospel

   Everywhere the gospel is preached, the potentialities of heaven are imposed on that place. This is not rhetoric — it is the mechanism by which Eden is re-established. Not as a geography but as an atmosphere. Where the Word goes forth with the Spirit, the economy shifts.

Time, Prayer, and Seeing What Is Yours

Moses wrote Genesis. When he wrote "In the beginning, God said" — how did he know? The transfiguration provides a key. Peter said: "When we are telling you that Christ is coming, we are not telling you cunningly devised fables. We are eyewitnesses of His majesty." He did not say he saw a vision. He said he was an eyewitness.

On that mountain, Moses and Elijah climbed at different points centuries apart — and something happened. In the realm of the spirit, time is not a factor. This is why God is Alpha and Omega simultaneously. Moses was able to see the creation of the world. Abraham rejoiced to see the day of Christ — and Jesus said it literally. The glory on Moses's face when he came down — 2 Corinthians 3 reveals it came from the face of Jesus. Both climbed the same mountain centuries apart. Time travel happened.

In Eden — in any place where heaven kisses earth — you can travel back. You can correct what is wrong in the foundation of a family. You can travel forward. You can see where you are going with precision, because you have already been there in the spirit.

This is why testimonies feel familiar to people of prayer. The moment arrives and they are not surprised. They have already handled it in the realm of the spirit. God takes a person to see the things that are theirs. In the place of prayer, land can be received. Direction can be settled. The eyes open to see — and months later, the testimony confirms what was already seen.

Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or think, according to the power at work within — in health, in finances, in family, in ministry — the anointing of the Holy Ghost. The embargo is broken. Every pattern that held the generation before you will not hold you. There is a mark of exemption upon your life. A different economy. And grace is about to carry you.
