When God Decides to Favor a Man

Psalm 44:3 — they did not gain possession of the land by their own sword, nor did their own arm save them. But it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your countenance — because you favored them.

When God decides to favor a man, nothing can limit it. Nothing can stop it. Not even your efforts, not even the people around you.

Isaiah 43:4 — Since you were precious in my sight, you have been honored, and I have loved you. Therefore, I will give men for you and people for your life.

God can compel men for your sake. Listen — you are here trusting God for something, thinking you don't have anybody, no connection, no one to meet. He says, "I will give men."

Proverbs 21:1 — the king's heart is in the hand of the Lord. Like the rivers of water, he turns it wherever he wishes. It doesn't matter who the person is — everyone is in the hand of the Lord. If God decides that a person must favor you, that person has no choice but to favor you.

When God compels men, they don't need to like you before they favor you. When God moves, men become channels of divine acceleration.

The Iron Gates That Lead to Your City

Acts 12:5-7, 10 — Peter was kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. That night, an angel struck Peter and his chains fell off. They passed the first guard post, the second, and came to the iron gates that lead to the city — and they opened of their own accord.

Iron gates represent obstacles, barriers, stumbling blocks. The city represents your new season — marriage, a new job, restoration of family, promotion, fruitfulness. The gate opened of its own accord because there is a compelling force in the Holy Ghost.

Every door that has been locked against you, shut against you — the Lord himself commands those doors to be open.

Someone came to this ministry having gone for job interviews where they would be turned away just before their turn. God was asked: every gate that has been shut against you for you not to enter the place of your desire — be opened. Within three months she testified that she had multiple job offers and didn't know which one to pick.

Life is a battlefield. There are iron gates indeed. But the power of the Holy Ghost destroys every iron gate.

The King Could Not Sleep

Esther 6:1 — that night, the king could not sleep. He commanded the book of chronicles to be brought and read before him. One of the ways God compels men for your sake is to cause a holy restlessness.

Hammon had prepared a gallows to destroy Mordecai. But the same night, God caused a holy insomnia in the king. The book of chronicles was read and the king remembered Mordecai, who had saved his life years earlier and received nothing for it.

Why was it the same time that Hammon was plotting evil and the king could not sleep? Why was it the same time the king saw in the chronicles what Mordecai had done? Why was it that Hammon came in at that very moment?

The king said to Hammon, "Hurry — take the robe and the horse as you have suggested, and do so for Mordecai the Jew who sits within the king's gates. Leave nothing undone of all that you have spoken."

When God causes holy insomnia in your helper, they are in a hurry to remember you. If they don't do it, they can't sleep. So they must act quickly.

Mordecai had been forgotten. But one night, God caused a holy insomnia. The one who was plotting against him ended up parading him in honor. When there is a delay it is not a denial. The season of remembrance comes suddenly.

More Than Enough

Exodus 35:21-22, 29 — all whose hearts were stirred and whose spirits were moved came and brought their offerings freely to the Lord — everything needed for the tabernacle.

Exodus 36:3-6 — the people continued to bring additional gifts each morning. Finally the craftsmen left their work and went to Moses and reported: "The people have given more than enough materials to complete the job the Lord has commanded us to do."

Moses had to send out a message: men and women, don't prepare any more gifts for the sanctuary. We have enough.

God can compel men to give you more than enough. There is a realm — a level — where you will say, "This has become too much. Please stop giving. We have had enough."

Isaiah 60:22 — the smallest family will become a thousand people, and the tiniest group will become a mighty nation. At the right time, I the Lord will make it happen.

Psalm 18:44 — as soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me. Strangers shall submit themselves. When your name is heard, they submit — to help, to give, to open doors.

This is your season of divine remembrance. Your helpers are in a hurry. They will sit with you and beg for your signature.
