God sees me. I am not invisible. People may not see me, but God sees me. People may not recognize me — God recognizes me. People may not acknowledge me — God acknowledges me. People may not consider me anything — God considers me precious. People may look down on me, but God looks so much on me that He sent His Son to die for me.

You are not invisible. You are not negligible. You are not dismissed. You are not insignificant. God sees you. Jehovah sees you. He knows your name. He knows your address. He knows where you reside. You are seen. You are recognized. You are known. You are loved. You are accepted. You are forgiven. You are established.

God sees your struggle. God sees your celebration. God sees your joy. God sees everything that has to do with you. You may be in a pit right now. You may be at the lowest level of your life. You may feel that the world has passed you by. God sees you.

Hagar: The God Who Sees the Overlooked

Genesis 16:11, 13–14

The angel of the Lord said to Hagar, "Now you are pregnant and you will give birth to a son. When you cried in pain, the Lord heard you." When Hagar heard what the angel said, she said to herself, "I have seen the God who sees me." So she called the Lord the God who sees me — that is why they call the well in that place Beer Lahai Roi.

Hagar was a slave. She did not have value in her time. She was a person bought with money — the price on her head determined her worth. She was not even a Jew; she was an Egyptian. She didn't have the opportunity to choose who to get pregnant for. Somebody that bought her, took her and gave her to somebody else and said, "Use her body as a receptacle for a child for me." And yet God saw her.

I don't know what has given you the status or the experience of a slave. But Jehovah El Roi — the One that sees you — He sees you. Hagar was hopeless and despondent when she ran. And God heard her. He saw her. And what did God do? He comforted her.

Your despair does not drive God away. Your pain does not make God turn away from you. Your shame does not make God reject you. Your struggle does not offend God.

It is not only when things are going right or well that God sees us. It's not only when we're going through good times that Jesus sees us. Jehovah sees. And when He sees, He acts. He doesn't just see and be looking. He is at work on your behalf. If He's not working on your situation, He's working in you or on you. Jehovah sees all the arrows that the enemy is pointing at you, ready to shoot. He sees the weapons that the devil has fashioned against you. You are not unseen. He covers you.

Mephibosheth: Restoration from the Place of Isolation

2 Samuel 9:3–13

King David asked, "Is there not yet any of the house of Saul that I may show the kindness of God?" Zeba said, "Jonathan has a son who is lame on his feet." David said, "Where is he?" And they sent and fetched Mephibosheth out of Lo Debar.

Lo Debar means the place of barrenness and isolation. Mephibosheth's grandfather and father were rich people — they had servants and slaves. But circumstances had thrown Mephibosheth into a pit. He didn't even have a house. He was squatting. He had no hope.

And out of the blue, the king said, "Is there nobody left in the family of Saul that I can bless?" The blessing was already waiting before he was even brought out of the pit. Your blessing is already waiting. The thing God has established to serve you is already waiting.

When Zeba reported Jonathan's son, he immediately added, "But he is lame on two feet" — he was hoping David would say, "Ah, he's lame, I don't want any lame thing around me." He was trying to disqualify him. But did David address the lameness? No. Did David acknowledge the lameness? No.

When people go around saying nonsense about you, God does not acknowledge it. God does not dignify it. God does not change His opinion about you because people are saying negative things.

God sees you in factory setting — how He set you from the factory of heaven before you came here. What life has done to you is not how God sees you. What experiences and circumstances have done to you is not how God sees you.

The king didn't say "both feet." What did he say? He said, "Where is he?" God is asking where you are — and He's not asking for fun. He's asking because your time has come. Your season has come.

Tune your ear to hear. When you have a radio and you don't tune it well, you'll be hearing scratchy sound. But when you tune it well, what do you hear? Clean sound. Shut your ear to that problem. Shut your ear to that nonsense. Shut your ear to that lack and poverty. Hear the voice of the Lord.

The king said to Mephibosheth, "Fear not." That is the first thing David did — he confronted fear. The one thing that will stand in the way of receiving God's help, God's grace, God's favor, God's intervention is fear.

God is saying to you, if you want My favor to rest upon you, banish fear.

What God Restored

David said, "I will restore to you all the land of Saul your father, and you shall eat bread at my table continually."

• All the years the canker worm, the palmer worm, the caterpillars and the locust have eaten — let there be restoration.
• Whatever was lost, be restored. Whatever was stolen, be restored. Whatever you threw away, be restored. Even if it was your carelessness that made you lose it, let restoration envelope today.
• Time restored. Relationships restored. Riches restored.
• The blessings from your grandfather to your father to you — receive them in the name of Jesus.

Mephibosheth was not poor. He just didn't know. He had no access. He was so broken and isolated he didn't know what he owned. The two broken legs made him feel useless — not knowing that he was a big man. May everywhere you have been blind, may the blindness be removed. May God open your eyes to your treasures that you didn't know were there all this time.

Zeba had 15 sons and 20 servants — 36 workers in one day — for a man who was in isolation.

There is nothing attached to your life that can disqualify you. Nothing from the past, nothing in the present, nothing in the future can disqualify you for your space and your place at the king's table.

Mephibosheth called himself a dead dog. Did David address "dead dog"? No. David was addressing who this man was — a prince. If you like, call yourself failure. If you like, call yourself a disgrace. You are a prince. You are a princess. God is not addressing you by the stupid choices you made. He's addressing you according to factory setting.

Every command God is speaking to destiny helpers, they will do it. Every command God is giving to situations, they must shift. Nothing will resist the command of the Lord. Everything will line up. Everything will obey. Everything will straighten out.

God is in the business of restoration. All Hagar did was cry and Jehovah showed up. Mephibosheth did not do anything and God showed up.

Worship the Lord. Enter with worship. Finish with worship. Come not yet for anything — just for who He is. Then worship again because He has pronounced a blessing over you, pronounced deliverance over you, pronounced comfort over you in the name of Jesus.
