Through Faith We Understand

Hebrews 11:3: "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."

Just the first four words: through faith we understand. Faith is not just an action — it is a perspective. A different lens. A different operating system. It is like a TV with access only to local channels — and then someone gives you a decoder and suddenly you have 300 channels. Same TV. Different access. Same world — different understanding.

There is what you understand by facts: things you can see, hear, touch. And then there is a different, higher, supernatural realm of understanding that faith opens you to. You cannot walk with God until you learn to understand by faith.

Faith Is a Different Economy

When you travel to a different country, your currency changes. The value of what you carry is recalculated. You stop converting — because it is a different economy with different rules.

Faith is a different economy. In that economy, impossibility does not exist. Sarah herself received strength to conceive when she was past age — because faith plugs you into an economy where the laws of biology are not the final word. From one man, as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars.

• The same economy by which they passed through the Red Sea as on dry ground
• The same economy by which the walls of Jericho fell after seven circuits — without a single weapon
• The same economy where a 50,000-count tumour becomes 5 overnight after prayer

God did not create the laws of science to limit His own ability in your life.

Faith Is Unyielding Stubbornness to the Word

Hebrews 10:35-36: "Do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise."

Faith is not wishful thinking — it is unyielding loyalty to the word of God when there is no natural evidence. It is stubbornly insisting on the reality of that different economy even when circumstances scream otherwise. Even when the doctor's report disagrees. Even when the account balance disagrees. You are not denying facts — you are refusing to give facts the final say.

Hebrews 11:39 — many of the heroes of faith "did not receive the promise" in their lifetime. They died still holding on. And the writer says: the same faith that raised the dead was the same faith by which some were tortured and did not accept deliverance. Both are legitimate expressions of faith. Faith is an economy you live in — not just an action you perform once.

Faith Is an Importation System

Everything that is made possible by faith in this realm is normal in heaven. In heaven, no one needs faith for healing — it is simply reality. Faith is the system by which you import those heavenly realities and enforce them here. "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

1 John 5:4: "This is the victory that has overcome the world — even our faith." He that is born of God has overcome the world. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

By faith we understand. Not by sight. Not by diagnosis. Not by statistics. By faith — a different lens, a different economy, a different set of possibilities. That is where we live.
