Everything the Lord has begun to do in my life will last. My faith will last. My passion will last. My zeal will last
My wisdom will last. My health will last. My intellect will last. My understanding will last. My vision will last
Matthew 7:24-27
- Father, make your word and your will known to us. Let there be none of any man but all of you. Have your way, Jesus.
I love the word of God as a compass for my living. As I hear and declare the word, great and mighty things happen in my life. I am built to last
No matter how the devil has thrown arrows at me, at my family, at my children, I am built to last. I am rocked like that. I am anointed like that. You cannot break me
I am immovable. I have a fresh oil at work in my life. I am daily growing in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
My spirit man is alive to the word of the Lord. No dryness, no emptiness, no void, no darkness. I am built to last
You need the 3D
No great building becomes a reality until the architect puts it in a script. In our time the architect can even give you a 3D of what your building will look like
1 Corinthians 2:9-10
But God has given us the 3D. I need the 3D because it is my prayer point
The revelation God gives me of the kind of house he is making me keeps my prayer precise, on point, and my faith properly steadied
Illustration: the soil test
Sometimes the soil test comes back and says this kind of building cannot stay here. But they say, we can do something about it
No matter what the devil has done in your life, something can be done about it
A man who wanted me to pray took me to a place and pointed at river and swamp, saying all of it was his
I asked if he intended to build inside the river. He smiled and said, we will reclaim it
However swampy or muddy the devil has made the journey of your destiny look, I come to reclaim what the Lord has given me
It may not look like the full picture now, but allow me to pray small and believe small
I will reclaim all
Hearing and doing
Put this in a corner of your mind: every sand has the potential to be a rock. The sum total of sand makes up rock. The unit of rock is sand
Jesus began with hearing and doing. The wise man heard and the foolish man heard Matthew 7:24-27. So the problem is not knowledge
The increase of knowledge is not the quality of wisdom. What works is not what you know but what you know that you are acting on
If I know many things and do not use them, I will be constipated with knowledge, producing nothing in destiny, ridiculed by those I am better than, an encyclopedia of nothingness
The foolish one did not fail to hear. He did nothing with what he heard

There is an urgency in the spirit and heaven is taking a roll call. Who strays into services, hears and does nothing? They are building on sand. They will not last
Who walks into service, God addresses fear, and walks away still afraid? Who hears on doubt and walks away doubting?
Who hears on spiritual dwarfism and remains a dwarf? These are building on sand
Many believers keep increasing in knowledge. They listen from one word to another on the internet, acting on none
They have been born again since 1986, they can tell you where any scripture is, but they are empty in action
Angels walk from row to row, seat to seat, dividing those who heard from those who acted. You heard a word concerning this, did you act on it? Those who say no are built to fail
Some will say, Lord, let me tell you why I did not act on it. And the Lord says, that is not what I said. God is saying, you have heard enough, go and do
Every day I am speaking, opening chapters, bringing fresh revelations to you. What will work is not just what you heard but what you acted on
You heard about personal devotion and consecration. Which one did you act on?
- My Father, I must begin to act.
- The season is now.
- Propel my destiny into action.
What did you hear when you are in a place of uncertainty? What did you hear for you to be afraid? What did you hear when you do not know what the future holds?
What did you hear for you to be depressed? What did you hear when you are fiercely tempted? Which of them are you acting on?
The way you act, heaven looks at you and says, you are no better than an unbeliever
This is where Job found himself Job 13:15. God, even if you are against me, I have chosen to trust you
How sand becomes rock
Every sand can be a rock. The devil can say you are a sandy Christian, but that is a pointer that I have the capacity to be a rock
If I can spot that I am sandy, if I can look at myself and say these are things I have not acted on, then I have the capacity to be a rock
Before sand becomes rock it goes through four stages:
Deposition
Wind or water carries the grains of sand and drops them as a layer somewhere
Burial
The same wind brings another layer on top of that layer. It is not enough to say there is something I have built. On top of what has entered you, add another
Compaction
The more it builds up, the more it gathers pressure. The pressure squeezes out the water and brings the grains tightly close to each other
Cementation
Underground water carrying minerals such as iron oxide and silica cements it all together
The journey began as sand. Sand that came upon sand, sand that squeezed water out. This is how sand becomes rock, because it is God working in you Philippians 2:13

There is a level of word you are on. Add to it. Do not stop where you are, because you are built to last
Write down the expectation in your heart. Look at scriptures that speak about that area of your life
Before you sleep, read 20 of them. When you have read 20, talk it
If I believe in this thing, I will talk about it. You say you are a believer, but you are not talking what you believe Romans 10:8
Why keep quiet when there are things I need to say? Matthew 12:37
Even if you think you are building on sand, you have the potential of being a rock. Add more
As you are adding, you need to squeeze some things out. In between your conviction there might be one fear, one doubt hiding in a corner, one thing said about your family still in your head
Do not tell me you are on the altar every morning and you are not squeezing something
Squeeze it until you let the devil know this cannot be my identity. Then cement it
The sand cannot just stay where it is. I must go through processes in becoming a rock
Three things that test the building
Both the one who built on rock and the one who built on sand experienced the same situation Matthew 7:25-27
Three things will test the integrity of what you are building:
The rain
Your blessing
The flood
An attack from hell
The wind
What you cannot fathom
In scripture rain is mostly a blessing. Flood is mostly negative. Wind is both. It can be contrary, like Euroclydon Acts 27:14, and it can be the Spirit John 3:8
The wind is the one you have not been able to fathom. Is this God? Is this the devil? Is God teaching me something? Is it the will of God for this not to happen?
The rain: when your blessing becomes a test
Blessings came your way and you mismanaged them. The blessing, the rain, came to test the building
The dream of seven years of plenty and seven of famine Genesis 41. What we will need in 14 years will come in seven years
We must be wise and not eat seven years in seven years. God says be wise and store up, so we live in plenty and still have something to sustain us for another seven years
Some things you call blessing came to test your wisdom and teach you delayed gratification. God wanted you to learn to put a knife to your throat
You wanted to compete with those not competing with you, show off to those who do not see you, and prove a point to those not interested in your point
May your blessing not become the biggest mistake God made towards you

The School Of Prayer (how Prayers Are Answered)
by Apostle Joshua Selman
Let it not be said that you served God so passionately, until the only thing you were looking for came, a husband, and now you tell God, I cannot join the early morning prayer, I overslept
When your blessing becomes a test, the things I have must not have me. They do not determine who I am Philippians 3:8
Earthly possessions are not the kind of things that determine who I am
Some people are not preparing to last because they are not managing the manifestation of the blessing
God opened that door, brought that helper, and it is a blessing for 14 years. Do not finish it in seven years
Do not use a bad mouth and excessive demand to chase away what God brought for a long time
- Father, give me the wisdom to discern when what I have is beginning to have me.
The flood and the wind
I am not majoring on the devil. The flood is the attack from hell. The wind is where you ask, is it because I did not pray well? What does God want me to learn?
I will not promise you that you will understand every situation. But we know how it will end Romans 8:28
The devil will say, it is because of that sin you committed yesterday. Excuse me, devil
There are those in a cesspool of sin who are not going through what you are going through
You do not know whether you are dealing with guilt or a situation, and he only wants to confuse you Hebrews 12:2
What you act on is a building rising
As I act on the word, something is rising somewhere. I am acting on the word on one side and raising a destiny on the other side
Acting on level one of the word, then level two, I have not fully seen the house but I am declaring what God's word says about me
What you call a sudden blessing or surprise is the sum total of every word you have been acting on
Every time you acted you added a block, until the day the Lord unveils the building for your generation to see
Then everybody will be screaming, where did it come from?
Isaiah 55:11
You chew on the scripture, meditate, memorise, walk around with it, smile with it, declare with it
Say the word even when you do not feel it
Your feeling is not who you are. You feel bad today and good tomorrow
Joshua 1:8
It did not say out of your heart. God understands. There are seasons when your mouth and heart do not agree, but the more you say it, the more your heart agrees
So do not feel bad that as you declare the word you are not feeling it. There are days you do not have to feel it. Say the word
I do not feel okay, but I will not say what I feel. I will declare the word of God
The more I say it, the more it trickles down, and that is when I can meditate on it
Most times I may not begin with meditation because my heart is too full. When my heart is overwhelmed Psalm 61:2, my heart may not have capacity to meditate. But this mouth will keep talking
Proverbs 23:7 does not say so is his situation. Mark 11:23
What I think makes me who I am. What I say changes my situation. And changing the situation is what eventually changes how I feel
- Lord, put a guard over my mouth. Let me not say the wrong thing.
The devil wants you to say, I don't know why my things always happen like this
The devil is not God. He does not know what you are thinking. Say the opposite of what you are thinking
I know whom I believe and I am persuaded he is able, the God of the 11th hour 2 Timothy 1:12, Psalm 37:25
You may be quoting scripture with tears in your heart Numbers 23:19
Your emotions might be all over the place, but do not let your tongue be everywhere. If you feel God has done it, say it. If you feel overwhelmed, say what God is saying
We do not win by feeling. In this kingdom we do not wait to feel right to speak right
Jesus started with one request, then quickly made a switch Luke 22:42. Move from a place of no, I would not do it, to a place of, Lord, let your will be done
Illustration: change it
Someone I know cracks a lot of jokes. When I laugh and say to him, you are not okay, he stops me and says, change it
He says, this mouth that chased cancer, you are using it to tell me I am not okay? Even when you are playing, I am okay. When you finish laughing, do not say anything
Isaiah 3:10
That means the righteous must monitor what is said to him: I reject it, I rebuke it, it is not my portion
God wants you to take responsibility for receiving the words that come to you. Do not speak negative words to yourself. Your words are powerful, even when you are joking
If the season changes, will your building still stand?
Matthew 7:24 is present continuous. God is still saying it. Move from a sandy life to a rocky life
The grains must bury themselves, become compacted and squeeze out water, and produce minerals that cement them together. That is what he is still saying
The blessing will test you, the flood will test you and the wind will test you. All God is saying is, build on the rock
While the house was being built it did not rain, there was no flood and no wind. As soon as they finished, the storm came
I am not serving God because this season is okay. I made up my mind Luke 9:62. I am not here for a good season, I am here for the rest of my life
If you open the door, you are still a good God. If you close the door, you are still a good God
- Father, we give you all the glory and all the honour. Be magnified, Jesus. Be glorified.
