THE CONCEPT OF BIRTH

The way to step into any realm - physical or spiritual - is to be born. Birth is the official channel to life.

Two kinds of birth: Born of the flesh (biological) and born of the spirit (spiritual rebirth).

Four Differences Between Biological and Spiritual Birth:

1. The will involved - Biological birth: the child has no say; it is the parents' will. Spiritual birth: it is exclusively the individual's will. Your parents may not like your salvation, but if you choose, you can be born again.
2. Consent required - Biological birth requires contribution from man and woman. Spiritual birth: your physical parents' contribution plays no role. You can believe right now and salvation becomes yours.
3. Timing - Biological birth takes 9 months. Spiritual birth happens at the instance of believing. The man at the cross - Jesus said "This day you will be with me." Not next week.
4. Validity period - Biological life has a lifetime - a start and a finish. Spiritual life only has a date to start. There is no validity period where you exhaust the life of God. Once born again, it starts eternally.

DEFINING LIFE

Biology defines life as the quality that separates a living thing from a non-living thing - manifesting responses of respiration, reproduction, digestion.

Three Greek/Hebrew Words for Life:

1. Bios - Biological life. Plant life, natural animal life.
2. Psuche (Suk) - Soul/psychological life. Consciousness - the faculties of will, emotion, and intellect. A person can be alive physically but dead in this dimension (e.g., someone incapacitated in hospital).

3. Zoe - The divine life. This is what we are teaching tonight.

Understanding Zoe:

Older translations use "eternal" or "everlasting" - but that is one of the least qualities of Zoe. Zoe is not about longevity. Zoe deals with quality above and beyond longevity.

A quality of life that upgrades an ordinary man to GOD CLASS - so that you are able to function like God in experience. Indestructibility. Victory-worthiness. Power. Dominion.

THREE TESTS FOR ZOE

Not every upgrade is Zoe. Education, relationships, wealth, political power, even demons can upgrade a man's life. But that is not Zoe.

For any life to be called Zoe, three tests must be met:

1. Born of God - John 1:13 - An official change of parenthood.
2. Born of the Spirit - John 3:3-6 - Access to the mysteries of God. Extraordinary intelligence.
3. Born of the incorruptible Word - 1 Peter 1:23 - Born of the incorruptible seed of the word of God.

If God is not part of the engineering of that upgrade, it is not Zoe. If the Holy Spirit has to be alienated for that upgrade to happen, it is not Zoe. If you have to disrespect the ministry of the word, it is not Zoe.

No matter how upgraded your life is - if God is not involved, the spirit is not involved, the word is not involved - eventually the limitations of men will catch up with you.

BORN OF GOD

Born of God means you are in the God class. A lion does not give birth to a dog. An elephant does not give birth to a rat. If you are born of God, you are in the God class.

What makes God God? He speaks and it comes to pass. If you are born of God, your words are no longer ordinary.

There is a translation from the kingdom of darkness. Even if by bloodline there are patterns of poverty, delay, untimely death - the moment there is a change of parents, there must be a change of DNA.

BORN OF THE SPIRIT

Born of the spirit means extraordinary intelligence. The days of ignorance are over. You have access to the mysteries of God.

The Holy Spirit's First Ministry: Genesis 1 - The first revelation of the Holy Ghost was not as teacher but as restorer of order. Wherever there is darkness and chaos, introduce the Holy Spirit and order is restored.

Born of the spirit means you are a blessing. You carry a river. Ezekiel 47 - Everywhere that river went, there was healing. You are not a cost to anybody's life. You are a life-giving river.

The Church Needs Restoration to the Ministry of the Spirit:

Our fathers in the 60s and 70s respected the ministry of the Holy Ghost. The songs had life - decades later they are still alive. Now we sing songs and in two days we forget them because they are empty.

Some of us still remember sermons preached before we were born because of the impact. We need to restore the Spirit of God. For as long as we keep pushing Him outside, we don't have the strength to continue. That is the reason healings don't happen. We speak but it doesn't carry power.

Prayer and Worship:

There is a realm only worship can take a man. Every man who works genuinely in the power of the spirit and in the prophetic with accuracy understands the mysteries of worship.

The realm of the spirit is pregnant with new songs - prophetic songs, ladders that need to be drawn into this space to help the saints enter into dimensions.

BORN OF THE WORD

John 1:1-3

Colossians 1:15-16 - All things created in heaven and earth, visible and invisible - thrones, dominions, principalities, powers - all created by him.

The Assignment of the Word: To bring spiritual intelligence. To help you understand the modus operandi of the kingdom. God is a God of patterns. The glory of God always follows the pattern.

Don't just look for glory - study the pattern connected to the glory. If you have the manual, you can replicate it.

Consistency is the proof of the word's ministry - The word is incorruptible. The moment there is no consistency, you are not working by pattern.

The Word as Balance to the Spirit:

The Holy Ghost is not the only spirit who can influence a man. There are familiar spirits, dark spirits, human spirits. The only way to purify your walk with the Holy Spirit is to be grounded on the word.

Peter - the same man who spoke by the Holy Ghost, next moment spoke under the influence of a demon spirit. Jesus said: "Satan, get thee behind me." What he needed was stability on the word.

Warning: There are many moves today that have destroyed men - started from sincere men who received instruction from the spirit. But upon vetting based on the lens of the word, it is found wanting.

1 Timothy 4:1 - In the latter days some shall depart from the faith and give heed to seducing spirits and the doctrine of demons. Those people are not evil - they embrace the ministry of any spirit without scriptural understanding to verify.

When you honor the letter without the spirit, you become legalistic. When you embrace spiritual activities without the word, you are prone to error. Both are needed.

Jesus as the Model:

Jesus was prayerful, a man of the spirit. But when Satan tempted him - Matthew 4 - His answer each time was "It is written." First temptation: it is written. Second: it is written. Third: it is written. Satan left him for a season.

Worshippers: Don't just receive songs from dreams and sing them immediately. Record it, find scriptures, edit it. Intelligence must be invested in your songs because people consume your ideologies.

ALTAR CALL

Being born again exclusively depends on the individual hearing the gospel. The gospel: A declaration of the love of the Father demonstrated in and through the substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus.

When you get saved, three gifts are received:

1. Forgiveness of sins
2. The gift of righteousness
3. The life of God (Zoe)

You cannot access the life until your sins are blotted out and your nature changed. Then the life is given to you.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 - Sow bountifully, reap bountifully. God loves a cheerful giver. God is able to make all grace abound towards you.
