Archbishop Benson Andrew Idahosa was the Founder of Church of God Mission International (CGMi), a globally recognized ministry headquartered in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
Born on September 11, 1938, he was widely regarded as one of the pioneers of Pentecostal Christianity in Africa and played a major role in the spread of charismatic revival across Nigeria and beyond.
He was known for his bold preaching, miracles, healing ministry, and unwavering faith in God’s power. His ministry emphasized faith, evangelism, miracles, holiness, and the power of the Holy Spirit, impacting millions through crusades, conferences, and television broadcasts.
Archbishop Benson Idahosa also founded Benson Idahosa University and mentored many ministers who went on to become influential church leaders across the world.
He was happily married to Archbishop Margaret Idahosa, who continued the leadership of the ministry after his passing in 1998.
