Sent By God (When God Backs a Man) - John 17:18

God has an agenda and His agenda to see that all men be saved and that they come unto the knowledge and the fullness of the knowledge of Christ. God’s agenda is broken into dispensations and seasons - meaning He is not always doing the same thing.

There are 3 levels of the anointing from the standpoint of God’s program

1. The anointing that comes into a believer’s life when you confess the Lordship of Jesus - this is responsible for producing Christlike character and the inner work of transformation
2. The anointing that comes to empower you for service - this comes in honour to discovering your place in life and destiny, and in honor to the office you occupy
3. The anointing that comes as a reward, as an engraving for discovering what God is doing per time and per season and aligning with His current doing across the globe

The fulfillment of God’s program in any dispensation, depends on the presence of available, willing, yielded and trained men.

Every man can and should be used by God, but the reality is that not every man will be used by God. The reason is that there are demands to be used by God.

2 Peter 1:10, Galatians 1:24, Genesis 37:10

Demands in no particular order

1. Total surrender to the will of God Luke 22:42, Genesis 37:28
2. The demand of submission to the making and training process
3. The demand for spiritual growth and maturity (growing in the knowledge of the word, growing in intimacy)
4. A thorough understanding of your assignment(at least the part you have been given)

There are 5 evidences that validates that a man has been sent by God

1. There must be the evidence of spiritual maturity - especially the manifestation of Christ (Christ like character)Romans 8:6 - 9, Galatians 5:22
2. There must be a clear distinct mandate from God relevant to that dispensation Luke 19:10, John 3:16, Daniel 2:19, Proverbs 21:20
3. There must be a unique, divine strategy for getting the message or the mandate across unhindered
4. Access to resources and support systems(human or materials) Matthew 4:18, Mark 1:36 - 37

   Every true mandate from heaven will require men and material resources Luke 8:1 - 3, Philippians 4:16 - 19

5. There must be evidence of divine backing Mark 16:20, Matthew 28:20

   When God is backing, the following become evident

   1. Protection and preservation Isaiah 64:17, Jeremiah 20:10, 2 Thessalonians 3:3
   2. Favour Genesis 39:1 - 6, 41:37 - 46
   3. Supernatural wisdom Genesis 41:33, Daniel 2:19, 1 Kings 3:16 - 28, John 8:1 - 11
   4. Financial provision 1 Kings 17:1 - 6, John 2:1 - 11, Matthew 26:26

      It means touching the heart of men in an unusual way to bring resources to you

   5. His divine backing secures authority John 17:18, 20:21
