Lessons From An Overcomer
( Destiny Defining Principles)
Prayer point:Ask the Lord to give you a very definite visitation by His spirit.
Without vision the people perish, and every vision is dependent on God and men. God’s methods has always been by His word. He lifts by His word, He answers prayers by His word, He promotes by His word. When the word of God is coming you must pay rapt attention, so that satan does not rob you of His word. We grow in the spirit by Light and we are prepared to move with it. The end of every Believer’s life is Glory manifested and revealed.
DESTINY DEFINING PRINCIPLES FROM THE LIVES OF OVER-COMERS
We live in a world where Over-comers are celebrated. To overcome means to confront challenges and to prevail over them.It means to gain mastery.
Classically, an overcomer is one who faces challenges and subdues or gains control over an enemy or gain mastery over. It is profitable to listen to an overcomer, it saves time and destiny, because there are lessons to be learnt from their stories.
LESSON 1
IGNORANCE is not a demon . The problem of ignorance is not to be casted out like a spirit.
It is the remaining of ignorance that is the problem. The cure for ignorance is not just prayer but the discipline to stay within the presence of Light (knowledge) 2 Tim 2:15
A real miracle begins when you are aware that you are at the state of ignorance. All over-comers are started at the point and level of ignorance including Jesus. Pro 1:20-30. Just because you are enlightened in a particular area does not mean, you will excel in all areas. You have to strive to acquire the knowledge that will make you successful 1Corinth 8:23.
The ultimate test of the absence of Light is the dispelling of darkness. There are laws that controls the Cosmos. Behind every thing that works, Light is the backing. There are laws that govern relationship, abundance, longevity, and prosperity.
There is a realm, where ignorance is not permitted, the gate will not open.
LESSON 2
YOU CANNOT HAVE CONSISTENT RESULTS UNTIL YOUR DESIRES AND YOUR EXPECTATIONS ARE DEFINED Luke 18:38-49, Mark 11:24. When your goals are defined, you know when the prayers have been answered. Most believers are mopping up problems and not fixing it. Believe in the power of dreams and visions. There will always be wastage of resources if there is no definition of desires. When there is no definition to your desires, there is no sustainable success.
LESSON 3
PEOPLE ARE NOT REALLY AFFECTED BY WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM.THEY ARE AFFECTED BY THE MEANING THEY ATTACH OR CONNECT TO THE HAPPENINGS. When you learn to give things their proper meaning, you will live a life free of unnecessary annoyance.
LESSON 4
YOU NEED ENCOURAGEMENT/MOTIVATION TO START ANYTHING BUT IT WILL TAKE DISCIPLINE AND ENDURANCE TO BE CONSISTENT IN LIFE. You will be encouraged at the beginning of your vision but you will need;
The staying power: the ability to remain even when you’re the only one.
The restraint power: the ability to say no to many good things.
LESSON 5
DO NOT BE HASTY WITH WORDS OR COMMITMENTS. Think, pray and seek counsels before making destiny defining decisions. Humans are largely interest motivated and self centered. God gives speed but does not rush men. Patience is a virtue that forces deception to reveal itself.
LESSON 6
CRITICS AND NAY SAYERS CONFIRM THAT YOU ARE MAKING NOTABLE PROGRESS. They can also be used by God as a system to save you from destruction. If you do not have the heart to accept criticism, you won’t arrive. You can’t live in a world where all men love you. Neither can you live in a world where all men hate you. Because that becomes a problem you need to work on.
LESSON 7
THERE ARE THREE GROUPS OF PEOPLE YOU MUST BE AWARE OF. IT WILL TAKE A LOT OF WISDOM TO DEAL WITH.
1. Wicked people; prov 6:18
2. Selfish people : They are people who are indifferent about your state, as long as they get their desires satisfied.
3. Ignorant and naive people: They are people who lack consciousness, maturity, judgement and experience.
A wicked person is a person that has predestined your pain before executing their plan.
All can be tools to your life. And they are used by the devil. Even Jesus was in the midst of these group of people. They all played a role to achieve the death of Jesus. If you do not sustain the wisdom to deal with these people you will have problems in life. 2 Corinthians 11:13.
LESSON 8
DEFINE THE MIST IMPORTANT THINGS IN YOUR LIFE, NOT EVERYTHING IN LIFE IS WORTH DYING FOR.
There are only three things that are worth dying for. The most important things in life are defined by not that you are living for them, but that you can die for them.
• Relationship with Jesus. It’s your relationship with Jesus that defines your eternal success. Mark 8:35-37.
• Your family. Respect those who can see your limitations in n life and still love you regardless.
• Your assignment John 4:32-34.
Learn to be contented with what you have even as you work to achieve greater things.
Fame, money, positions, titles, competitive achievement are not worth dying for. You will hurt yourself and piece yourself with many sorrows and not be alive to know why.
LESSON 9
LEARN FROM SCARS AND LEARN FROM CROWNS
There are things that only pains can teach. There is something that only the woman who knows the pain of barrenness can teach you that, the one who became a mother at once can’t give. Do not just respect successful people alone, but also respect the one that has failed and is still standing.
